loved this, please keep doing detailed builds of all arrays, just let us peak into your world and knowledge. no over production needed. let yourself come through and your base will find you.
I've watched this whole series so far and I vote for you to continue to do these kinds of videos. It's nice to see your work payoff in the end! Great job!!
Why in the world do I sing polishing turds in my head all day at work in the shower it’s like the jingle I cannot get out of my head I’ve been waiting for the next episode is so I can hear it
I started watching ur videos about 6 or 8 months ago & I have to say u are a REAL mechanic, engine builder, tuner, etc. I was really impressed when u were tuning for Cleetus... Anybody can buy big expensive parts & put em together but few & far between are the ones that can do what u do... Thanx a lot, Randy Goff...
This channel has the best marriage of approachable DIY presentation style mixed with professional PhD level information/results that I could ever dream up. Love it.
I would LOVE more polishing turds content. Taking what you have and using your own knowledge to go faster is what I love about engines and racing. Keep it up brother!
The polishing turds series needs to continue. I loved the break down of everything that was junk and what all was salvageable. Its nice to see the tech side of what it takes to fix said turd as well.
Really interesting to watch the power band get wider as it got tuned up on the dyno. Started with torque peak at 5,300 RPM and HP peak @ 6,500 (1,200 rpm peak-to-peak); finished at 4,900 RPM torque peak and 6,700 RPM hp peak (1,800 rpm peak-to-peak). -Not sure what transmission he's running, and probably not a big deal for a track car, but for street / strip that increase of +600 RPM, in addition to the torque / hp improvement is a lot more AVERAGE power and a more useable power band for the street side.
I really enjoyed the series. Even had your songs in my head waiting for this day. Keep up the great content, its so awesome to get behind the scenes and the Pro insight that racers back in the day kept under wraps. Look forward to picking up a shirt and hat as well !
I watch these videos to learn from ..I don't have a hot rod not in a long time . From my limited experience, cylinder heads are a place not to skimp on . I remember a long time ago when I had one I could change the lash a bit on the solid roller isky cam and it was surprising how that effected the idle and response of the engine . I rather have a great set of cylinder heads and a little less cam . Thanks for the video
Great wrap-up for the series! Hope you get some more fun junk in the shop to do something similar. While it is cool to learn about good stuff getting reworked a little bit, I love the Junk to Jewel/Polishing Turds aspect even more. Thanks for putting in the work to do these videos.
Was in for the whole series. The culmination of your time and efforts was monumental to say the least, that guy is getting a animal of an engine back this time. Great Job?
LOVED the series and watched it all over the past 3 or 4 days. i was thinking maybe 30-40% being generous... but not close to 70% that was an awesome job. ive been watching alot of david vizard videos and this is quite a practical demonstration of alot of the stuff ive been learning about from him. ive invented a completely new type of engine so this knowledge WILL be put to use sometime in the next 5-10 years once i get it off the ground. i wish i had the equipment to machine everything and try to slep something together - the first version will be an inline 2, the next a flat 4 cylinder
Great job Pete. Y'all knocked it out the park. Hopefully I can make it to the track with Daniel for the inaugural run. Hope he can handle it. You guys are awesome. Brother Mark
Pete's the man. I been a fan of his since 06-07ish then they built the "fart" Ford powered dodge dart. I was at piedmont dart and another one of Pete's cars ran over 150+mph and ra the first 4s on 275s. " everyone else was running 5.1x at high 13x's lower 140's. They all raised hell on the internet all week made the turbo cars put a cover on the 88s. Pete said that won't do nothing I'm on the way to 160. Next race cars didn't slow down NONE! LOL
@@racecitypatriot66 yessir! I was Littlemotor on there! I definitely miss HPJ, and the other decent forums as well. Using fakebook groups for the hobby/lifestyle is such a shitshow imo… -Especially for doing any business.. Hell, I remember when Pete was “BigDyno”… those were the damned days!
As a side note, your songs are contagious superspreaders and the ' steam punk ' treatment with machines working is a home run. Myself, I love that rear drag chute footage twirling around myself. Its all pointing to a successful music career. You are going to clearly need to hire a team to facilitate the ' Motor' portion of the programming while contnue to deliver the awesome music. This is now my favorite venture , Fast Cars and Mean Guitar + Songs, Killer songs!
Really enjoyed this series. I went back and watched the whole series from start thru this video. I sure did learn a lot from this series about the sbc. I have a very similar sbc that I'm not happy with the performance and I am trying to make some plans to polish my turd. It's only 400 miles from my house to Mooresville. Hmmmm.......
I think it was an awesome idea. You perfected what the average Joe would build in their garage and show the results. Seeing how a pro engine builder does it step by step and getting 602hp out of a N/A small block. Yup, awesomer.
I’ve enjoyed the series. Could not wait to see the hp gains. Maybe different manufacturer turd polishing? Show us the ways for hp gains for different engines size and styles?
Almost embarrassed to say how much I’ve been looking forward to this 😂
I'm not been waiting since the first ep this dude has forgotten more hp then I will ever build
Your not alone lol
Same here
Also patiently waiting!
I was looking the other day after the pri vid and wondering if I had missed a polishing turds ep.. lol

Whoever does the music for the channel deserves a Grammy 😂😂😂
You mean a "Cammy" ??
I would LOVE more polishing turds content. Taking what you have and using your own knowledge to go faster is what I love about engines and racing. Keep it up brother!
Damnit Pete, now every turd you polish is gotta shine twice as bright!
The polishing turds series needs to continue. I loved the break down of everything that was junk and what all was salvageable. Its nice to see the tech side of what it takes to fix said turd as well.
RUclips needs more content like this.

I don’t think this engine can no longer be called a turd 💩 602 Horsepower is no slouch 💪
Come for the music. Stay for the information.
As soon as I hear the music it gets a thumbs up!
10/10 would watch another polishing turds series
Swear ta Jesus man
I'm only here for the jams man
Groovy brother
Good series for home builder on a budget , shows where too spend money and where not too , now its going to beat up the converter and trans :)
That is definitely a polished Turd now!

Great show, This is old school knowledge from a time before you could just buy better heads. Great for the common man with no money but lots of time
Cool series. I want to see Gary Hocking on the next season of polishing turds!
Nice Jackson guitar there in the background Pete 😎🤘
good stuff Pete! how about polishing turds track edition, show the process of sorting a new combo or improving an underperforming one.
Hmmm..... Not a bad idea.
Best series in all of RUclips!!!
Thanks bud!
That was awesome I love this stuff. Polishing Turds is one of my favs 100%
Great results good job

I'm glad this "turd" isn't my engine! But props on making this engine better!
Great when a plan comes together.

I've been impatiently waiting for this. Great job Pete!
Great job!
Great work I can’t wait to see the performance on the Dyno or track. Love to see more of this kind of content.
Not gunna lie..
Might have found my new ringtone.
Came for the intro, stayed for the great content. 👍
Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
A very well crafted tune too!
Well done!
Great results 🥳
Neat stuff. Enjoyed watching ✌️😎
I loved this series. By the looks of your studio, you must do the music for your channel. If so, do you have more music available for the public?
I think it’s bad ass brother keep doing what ur doing thank you
he said, if it will make 602 it will make 605....spoken like a true engine builder lol
And you know….if it makes 605, it’ll definitely make 607..
LOL.
@@realgoodatdoinstuff900 What's one more psi? (or 1 more degree of timing if boost is not an option) :P
Great series. I’d definitely watch another. Thank you.
Awesome series!
This is excellent content. Keep it up.

Awesome video loved the build series
Really enjoying the content!!
Great Series!
Loved this series, awesome to see almost double the horsepower!
Thanks for doing this series, it was a great learning experience 👍
Love this series great job!
Just cool with the improvements!
Who in their right mind could think adding 242hp to anything would be a dumb idea? Can't wait to see the real world dyno results down the track!
You do nice work, and your results speak for themselves.

Came a long way.
Good work Pete . Love the videos and the knowledge you share . Looking forward to more content.
Big gains good job
This is great series Pete. I think this is relatable for many people.
Nice work 👏🏼 Tom and Russ are great to work with 💪🏼💪🏼
Well done, Pete
I think it's a great idea showing builds like this. Great job!
Brother I've been waiting. Great work man!
Thanks much for another real world example of what's possible with experience and know how.
Keep them going! Affordable horsepower is always a win.
Killer job Pete.. can't wait to see it back in the car and what the owner has to say about it!
Keep this going, a lot of us can relate to affordable builds, great work there!
....Excellent Job....
I think you are doing a good job showing tech stuff entertaining with most all you do.
Awesome power gains!
Hell yeah man! Been waiting on this one! 602 is a damn nice increase!! I would also be intrested to hear a price breakdown of polishin that turd!
Love the polishing turds series.
Its LS people with the low guesses. They watch to much sloppy mechanics.
Great video, loved the music, great content. I think you need hats.
Enjoyed the Polishing Turds series.. I'm sure you will run across another that can be polished even further...

Been to Poland a couple times never ever seen anything like that.
