Awesome! Luv that old boat... and love that ole' Rude you got on there! A match made in heaven. My Grandpa worled for Johnson for 40 years. So I grew up with this kind of stuff. My Dad would have grown up with boats just like this one, and me in the 80s, with those boats. But we always had stuff laying around, and we always took interest in these boats form the 40s and 60s too. The ones Grandpa would have been tinkering with in his 20s and 30s. Cool stuff! Part of America !

I bet that motor isn't running but about 60% of it potential I can't wait to see what it can do when yall get it running right and the boat in better stronger shape I bet that boat will definitely move up to 30ish at cruising speed with no problem.

I have the 1972 version of this boat. Mine had a 70 Evinrude on it. I ended up taking the top off and making a center console bay style. I still have it but it needs new floors.

That sears boat look a lot like the 69 crestliner we had growing up. Wonder who manufactured the boats for sears. it had that same light colored teal gelcoat. memories!

Mine would do about 30 before I cut the sides down. After I lightened it up it would do 34. That hull has trim tabs built into the rear outside corners. That limits top speed because it pushes the bow down the faster you try to go. I have a 90 on it now and best I can do is 42.
