Cetus X is giving me a great time and I'm learning quickly. 2s Power, analog goggles (worst part IMO), cheap but decent controller, but only about $400 to get started with 45 mins of flight time with purchase of a few 550 mah 1S battery's. Blades are enclosed so you can fly it inside and out has beginner mode that keeps height and allows you to understand how to move the drone in a tight space but also allows for sport/manual mode and acro/advanced mode where you can flip the drone upside down and do an S turn. It's pretty powerful, though only has the FPV camera on it but if you just want to test out or learn I would recommend. I'm only a couple months in but this has allowed me to fly precisely indoors, it's fun outdoors and in a wide open space using FPV and some of the more advanced maneuvers with some quickness. I will say that it's a small drone so wind especially at elevation can be a little troublesome. As a beginner I had the wind start to take it and since I didn't understand acro/advanced my only option was to drop it out of the sky, but from a couple hundred feet into tall grass no harm no foul.
I wish lift off was that easy from what I can tell I gotta do all kinds of stuff to set it up was it a hard process for you having to go into control panel and renaming it so it recognizes it's a remote
The biggest difference between sim and flying fpv in the field is not having the all the "heads up display" in your OSD on the sim because that's distracting and doesn't teach to use the real world markers, such as the actual horizon - instead of trying to line up the horizon line in the HUD vs Horizon... We need to get Jackson some race gates!
I never started in Sims cause I didn't have the money to pay thousands for a good computer with a killer video card and put all my money into the hobby instead. But started and still fly 3 inch to 4 inch cause crashing isn't as bad.
I started and flew in self level mode for a year and been trying acro in life and a sim for the last year and just can't do it!!! Guess at 35 I'm to old to learn new tricks??? What u think
I'm 62 and flew stability modes for a couple of years before I really committed to acro about 1.5 years ago. Now I kick myself for not doing it far sooner and angle feels very restricting and unnatural, even indoors. You can do it. Just commit and it will click at some point. I would now recommend to anyone new to only use angle until they have decent throttle control then go right to acro.
I guess you haven't done other things prior? I started fpv older than that and h Ad no problem except faulty drone that got nothing to do with my skills
If your still having issues go into your modes on rx in beta flight and turn of angle mode and horizon mode and turn on acro trainer and acro only might help
I love Drone very much since childhood but we are very poor we are completing our studies with great difficulty I am holding hands in front of you please fulfill my childhood dreams please give me a drone please give me please i will never forget your favor in life
"This hobby can get a little expensive" theres nothing cheap about fpv.....to have a decent setup ur talking well over 1000 dollars with goggle radio and gopro... all the props and batteries that u destroy... i just had a day where i had dji system cut off and i lost video(sagety mode or soemthing) it made me crash amd smoke an esc and brand new battery on first flught of new equip.... super expensive hobby..i fly rc airplanes 3d aerobatics and drones make that look cheap lol....thank god the radios are so much cheaper
This was great video jack. Sim is definitely the way to go before bringing it to the field 👍your videos are perfect brother
Thanks man

Yes. Next step
I add the artificial horizon in betaflight

You don’t need a $1000 computer that’s a huge misconception. But I’m glad your way worked for you.
Velocidrone or Freerider work on old shitty PC's just fine
@linaskerbelis5636 update from a year ago I finally got a killer laptop 40gb ryden from Amazon for $400 and now I'm playing FPV LOGIC and loving it
can the jumper tlite bind with the frsky r-xsr?
Yes
My drones keep rising in Liftoff, i cant figure out what the problem is. Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?
You probably need to calibrate the controller
What game are you playing? Computer? Not Xbox?
Liftoff on my PC
Acro or airmode
Airmode is a setting that is best used with acro.

I started flying acro at 37. You can do it. Just takes time.

Whoops. Just realized this was a year old lol. Hope you have already taken the plunge.
