    Quietest fan I have found was purchased at Digi-Key. I would not say that it is quite but it is quieter than the one I had and it is higher CFM than my old one. With that said I would not call it whisper quiet, I can hear it quite well. Part number 1570-1033-ND. According to the datasheet for this fan, 45 db and 5 CFM, they also have a 3 CFM at 35 db. I don't know what your expectations for quietness and airflow are though.

    Hello, could you please provide a link for that hotend? They seem to have been removed. Thanks!

    Great overview! I think I'll have to print the hot-end mods you've featured; PetsFang etc. I keep getting failed PID auto-tuning running Klipper on Octoprint (over 175 degrees centigrade_. Hopefully, silicone sock will help here too. I'd like to get the stock hotted to print at 230 for PETG.

    Amazing Man!
    Do you upload the Extruder Wheel?

  • @darknessblades

    Gonna see if i can mod that cooler so it works on the Anet A9.
    I did notice that most of the Cheap chinese printers use similar but just a bit different Extruder Carriages.
    When i am using Openbuild Vslot wheels/carriage the modding might be much much easier

    Is that cooler printed in PLA? How is it holding up?

    • @BallisticTech
      @BallisticTech  5 лет назад +3

      Yeah it's printed in PLA. Holding up pretty well. The silicone sock helps a lot. Since it's mostly a PLA printer I wanted to mostly use the printer to print every mod.

    With the Petsfang fan, is the nocturna wired to the cool fan header on the board and the 5015 fan wired to the fan header?

    • @BallisticTech
      @BallisticTech  5 лет назад +1

      The noctua is connected to the always on fan which cools the hotend. The 5015 fan is connected to the print cooling fan. Looking at Tronxy's Current documentation the 5015 would be hooked up to the fan labelled "Turbo Fan". And the noctua would be attached to the "Cooling Fan" header. I hope that helps. If not maybe we chat on Twitter where it's easy to send pictures.

      Oh sorry you're right! Any socks made for the CR10 (MK7, MK8, MK9) should fit pretty well. Here are some on Amazon with prime (affiliate link):
