I don't know but maybe there could be one that has an INSANELY GOOD production but SAD lyrics about her being insecure and wanting to have friends and have eating disorder... a precursor to "I hosted parties and starved my body"
She said “I can’t believe they were ever left behind” about the vault tracks which I think implies none of them were written after the album was released, because otherwise that would be the reason why they were left behind. Also I think “this is what you came for” will probably be in Rep TV if in an album, with “I don’t wanna live forever” instead of 1989 because they’re more Rep vibes to me than 1989
I think she's still been a little wishy-washy with that. In the Fearless TV announcement, she said "these were the ones it killed me to leave behind", but we know that Mr Perfectly Fine wasn't written until 2009, and Fearless came out in 2008, and that That's When, We Were Happy and Bye Bye Baby were all written for debut. Its definitely possible that she considered them again for Fearless, but I do think the "these were the songs considered for the album" thing is overstated. I don't have an issue with it at all, including her putting if this was a movie as a Fearless track, because I think it actually fits better. I think she's just putting the available songs she has where she sees fit. For example, Fearless had so many deluxe songs on the platinum edition, there probably weren't many left, whereas debut had tons of scrapped songs, so I think it makes sense to move some to Fearless.
I think when she says "they were left behind" it's not necessarily implying that the songs were meant to be in that album specifically, they were left behind because they were never officially released in general
@@elsiebo.Bye bye baby wasn’t written for debut since its from 2007, I think you meant You all over me & Don’t you. Also for ‘ITWAM’ it might’ve been a Fearless platinum reject since its written in early 2009 probly close to Mr Perfectly Fine’s session
I would prefer her to just re-release the albums with the original amount of songs. She can release albums later with unreleased tracks. She could do a boxed set. But these albums with like 37 songs are just too much to even listen to in one sitting.
I think the girl squad is her full evolution from her old image of the relatable and awkward girl to the it girl. I think the one article titled, “The girl squad is a group that 18 year old taylor could never be apart of…” accurately described how a lot of people viewed it. It looked more like a group for aesthetics and to help her pop rebrand, which was even more evident by their quick abandonment of her when things got tough. It felt more like performative feminist thing that was pretty look-centric, and given everything that Taylor has said about her eating disorder and that era in general, I don’t think the media was inaccurate pointing out how attractiveness and thin-nes played a role in that group. I think at the height of her ED and insecurities she was really trying to build the “it girl” brand, which probably took a lot of people by surprise since she had built a brand on being the “just-like-you” girl. I think she’s now branded pretty accurately in between those two images. And thank god, we don’t have to deal with all those ladies pretending they had anything in common other than dress size. I still can’t imagine a world where she’s actually friends with some of the people that she hung out with in that era. They left so fast during her twitter cancellation when being in that “squad” was no longer beneficial to their end of the PR campaign
I think she truly loved Harry. She wrote so many songs about him. You don’t write songs like that if you don’t care about them or felt something for them.
It’s so funny to me that once upon a time Karlie had a whole bedroom just for her in Taylors house now she can’t even get into the VIP section of her show. Karma is real !! 🤩🤩🤩

I have to disagree with your "I Bet You Think About Me" take. It definitely has and spot and FEELS very on-brand for RED... she talks about her ex sitting on a 'million dollar couch' Jake G. did come from a VERY rich family and growing up he did have those things. Also the 'cool inde music concerts' is a call back to "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" where she mentions ‘indie records that's much cooler than mine’ he is a big fan of indie music. Plus RED is a country album and thats a country song
I get that. Lyrically it totally makes sense to be about Jake, I've just always found it much sassier than any of the OG songs on Red, and I think the instrumental is much more country than any other song on the album. When you listen to the instrumental by itself, it sounds more like a debut song to me. I was super shocked when I heard it for the first time because I found it so different, since I've never found Red to be a heavily country album, even though it was labelled as one.
1989 made me fall in love with Taylor. I liked her music before but this album was an absolute banger and every. Single. Album since has just gotten better and better!

I agree with you about the Bad Blood video. It’s so ridiculously over the top and unnecessary. Taylor is so extra and sometimes it’s great and other times it’s a big miss.
I would LOVE if she collabs with Katy Perry in this album. It would be so iconic because Katy is another huge iconic pop superstar, but when 1989 came out, they were “beefing” so they didn’t have a chance of collabing. So if they do it now, it would be a full circle moment and a proper FEMALE POP collab in both of their careers. It’s sad that Katy and Rihanna never collabed back then, and now Taylor only collabs with female singers when she gives them backing vocals 💀

I’ve been a Taylor fan since 2008, shortly before Fearless was released. The criticism of Taylor started around the end of the Speak Now era. People were criticizing her for writing fairy-tale songs at 20 years old. Criticism only increased with Red, during the public debate of who All Too Well was about, people accusing her of changing genres to be more likable, and those of us who were caught off guard by the drastic change in musical sound. As soon as she was in 1989 era, things seemed to reach their peak with the girl squad, Karlie Kloss, and Katy Perry. It was only after Kanye leaked that phone call that things came crashing down (which was something he did illegally by the way, as it is illegal to record a phone call without knowledge and consent of both parties, of which Taylor was unaware that she was being recorded.) After that crash though, things seem to have slowed down. I don’t hear many criticisms about her anymore. You covered this well, and as someone who vividly remembers living through 1989 era, it’s true when you say she was unavoidable. She was so popular at the time that even SNL made skits about it, one joking that if you’re sick of Taylor then you should take ‘swiftamine.’ Well done.
Ps: please don’t cancel me for what I’m going to say! I love her, I respect her and she’s a great source of inspiration for me!! I wasn’t a fan back then, but oh boy I knew everything around Taylor in that time. I have to admit I had jumped into the hate train for a while (I was a massive KP fan, so dumb fandom mentality was my norm back then), but now, after many many years of growing, learning and deconstructing myself I think I’m finally clean (😉). I remember it was “cool” hating her, everyone did it (sadly myself included, I’m not going to be an hypocrite about it) and it got massive in 2016. The day she got massively canceled was a day I will never forget. Like Twitter was crazy with that infamous hashtag!! Now, looking back, almost 99% of the things Taylor was accused of was a lie. It’s sad it happened, but I believe she’s a stronger woman rn, enjoying life and her success as she deserves. Great video!! I knew some of the things you talked, but not many of them!! Keep it up, I’m excited to know things of the woman who inspires me daily ❤
Never understood the hate of the girl squad. To me it was empowering that you have your girls with you think and thin whether it’s against a man or another woman, you know your friends will be there. So why all the hate? & y’all know as much as we women love to stand together EVERYONE HAS BEEF WITH SOMEONE. So don’t play innocent, you’re a villain in someone’s story whether you like it or not, that’s reality.
Thanks for explaining the hate on the girl squad. I still don't agree with the hate. But it's nice to see why y'all were hating on her. I was always looking in on that hate wondering why. Lol
I wasn't trying to agree with the hate too much lol. Like I said, I've never liked the Bad Blood music video, just because I think it made Taylor look petty. It was just a bad move from a PR point of view, and I feel really sorry for her that she put so much effort in the squad only for half of them to abandon her once she was cancelled in 2016.
@elsiebo. I would say I'm in the minority, but the song won big at the music awards. It was a total bop. Epic music video. The song can't please everyone. Katy, knew what she did. She can lash back all she wants. Taylor just made a better song about it. Everyone is grown enough to make up their minds. It's ancient history in any case. On Taylor's friend situation, I can also relate to a lot on what she was criticized for. So perhaps I just empathize more than more on that aspect. But again, thanks for the break down. I liked your video a lot. And look forward to seeing more.
YEESSSSS so true about the reputation vault tracks bring fuckin mysterious! I’m also most nervous for that re-recording tho bc it’s production is just so dang specific and I’m curious how they’ll replicate it
Thank you ❤ I'm definitely going to do one for Reputation because there's A LOT to get through. I think it might end up being twice as long as this tbh. I haven't started making it, but my plan was to make it and upload it whenever she announces Rep TV (probs next year). I could do one on Midnights even though its recent. The only issue is a lot of it, swifties still don't agree on who half the songs are about, so it might be tricky knowing what to include. Plus, I think we'll get more info about how her and Joe broke up in TS11, so that might shed some light on the events leading up to Midnights.
@elsiebo. indeed! Maybe start with a draft and keep it until TS11. I watched the other video about midnights you did and I loved it. I would also add the song "you're on your own kid" because the lyrics are so powerful. Great job. I subscribed 💖
..very fine narrative 👏👏👏 u've earned my sub. Call me crazy, but personally the most vault track i wanna hear is about her cats esp Meredith. She did mention a cat in Karma but i think that feline reference is Olivia..& i want a full song about them!! 😂😂😂 (might never happen but if anyone can write a banger about their cats, that person is Taylor) About Karlie, Taylor most probably wrote other songs bout her (coz that's how she process her feelings) but i forever doubt she will put them out. Coz i think this failed 'friendship' is too hurtful for her (same as S. Borchetta treachery) coz these guys were like family to her..not just another bff & u never want to be banging bad things about one of ur closest friend in a song.. So, since they already got one song each, i don't think she'll put out another..coz say, if someday (hope this will never happened) she falls apart with Selena..or Emma Stone..or Abigail..she wouldn't put out songs condemning them either.. She may put out songs about reminiscence of lost & longing..but it wont detailed about whom & what.. 💙💙💙💙💙
Lmao about the cat song. Michael Jackson did a song about a pet rat, so Taylor could definitely do one about her cats lol. I agree with what you said about Karlie. The point I tried to make at the end was that all three vaults so far contained songs about stuff that wasn't even mentioned in the original album, so there's probably gonna be something in the 1989 vault that we didn't even think about.
Girl's Squad: you should include zendaya's liking snake comments and posts about Taylor during the snake emoji blast. Why lorde and tay are not in good terms?
Great video! My one note is that there are actually multiple potential references to Calvin Harris: I Did Something Bad, Getaway Car, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Tolerate It, High Infidelity, etc
nice video! I really like your takes on most of this. I remember the red/1989 era, and hoo boy was it messy. people DID really hate taylor, and it was not cool to be a swiftie like it is now. I know I'm not the only fan who is still surprised to hear her music at like.... home depot..... because they never would've played that back in the day! haha
Before this video, I never knew that people preferred the Kendrick Lamar “Bad Blood” over the original one! I personally always liked the original “Bad Blood” more 😅😂
I really don’t think she’s talking about the nominations the year prior it’s so ovbious Nicki was referring to Taylor swifts bad blood but whatever the feud is done but it’s so odd how people deny it like open ur eyes lol 😭
Remember when 1989 was released and calvin called taylor why she didn't wrote any songs about him so she wrote "i forgot you existed". I'd rather not have any songs about him in the vault and not feed his ego.
I think there will be a song that is lyrically similar to ‘Nothing new’, I think that the song would deal with all of the criticizing she was recieving and her friendships/relationships falling apart.
Everyone gets mad when she write songs about other girls, but loves it when she writes about her boyfriends. Then she gets criticized writing too many songs about boys, so she write about her friends or people who she’s had problems with, and everyone is shocked.
I know that Taylor and Harry know about the Style song together .. like the idea of us wanting it on 1989 Taylor’s version If those bitches don’t deliver I’m gonna be pissed because everyone’s been screaming lol
I have to disagree with your assessment of the girl squad, that it didn’t look good for her brand, because…I mean she had friends? And those friends eventually sucked. It’s not a branding thing lol
I get that. I'm not saying it's right, just that the media widely criticized it and it definitely did harm her brand, even if her intentions weren't to use it as a marketing tool.
No,people being insecure about a woman having models Friends dont deserve a in depth video It is so stupid to shame someone for having Friends just because It makes you insecure

It’s okay, we’ve all been there 😭 I used to hate Katy Perry for awhile but her songs are actually pretty good
Never understood the hate of the girl squad.
Another fact about harry is that they wrote songs together this was confirmed by Jacknife Lee
hold on, WHERE? omg
Just imagine Harry Styles singing the 2nd verse from Style in first person. The world will blow up! 😘😘😘😘💙
@elsiebo.
I’m also most nervous for that re-recording tho bc it’s production is just so dang specific and I’m curious how they’ll replicate it
I love the songs and the whole vibe of 1989. I think this album will break plenty of records upon its release.
So much of this is really none of our business but can’t lie it’s fascinating!!
I’d love a video about the girl squad. What’s wrong with having friends?
imagine if we got Bad Blood (ft. Katy Perry) lol
Gosh fr but the song was about their beef😅
excellent video!! the 1989 era fascinates me as a whole and you summed it up perfectly in one video
Ok I need more videos like this. Can you do one before Reputation? I'd looooove one about Midnights but I'm aware is too soon!
AAAAAAAA IM SO EXCITED FOR THE VAULT TRACKS IM GOING TO CRY
..very fine narrative 👏👏👏 u've earned my sub.
Call me crazy, but personally the most vault track i wanna hear is about her cats esp Meredith. She did mention a cat in Karma but i think that feline reference is Olivia..& i want a full song about them!! 😂😂😂 (might never happen but if anyone can write a banger about their cats, that person is Taylor)
About Karlie, Taylor most probably wrote other songs bout her (coz that's how she process her feelings) but i forever doubt she will put them out.
The point I tried to make at the end was that all three vaults so far contained songs about stuff that wasn't even mentioned in the original album, so there's probably gonna be something in the 1989 vault that we didn't even think about.
a Style collab with Harry would set the world on fire
Girl's Squad: you should include zendaya's liking snake comments and posts about Taylor during the snake emoji blast. Why lorde and tay are not in good terms?
I'm going to do a video on the lore for Reputation, so most of that stuff will be in there since most of it happened in 2016.
IT feels like the perfect time 👏 to learn about 1989 lore 🎶
I'm sorry but "sweetheart lil country girl" literally made me laugh so hard I got sent to next Tuesday
i would watch video about taylor squad!!! and that was masterpiece video!!
Thank you so much! Someone else said that too, so I'm gonna start working on one :)
I would love more videos like this!
Great video! My one note is that there are actually multiple potential references to Calvin Harris: I Did Something Bad, Getaway Car, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Tolerate It, High Infidelity, etc
Death by a thousand cuts? Isn’t that song inspired from a movie?
I personally always liked the original “Bad Blood” more 😅😂
omg ijbol with the vehicular manslaughter rumors bc it really was a great time. i literally loved that one back then
Such a solid video!
bad blood was legendary taylor said “you go low i’ll go lower and i’ll make a check while doing so” she ate
I really don’t think she’s talking about the nominations the year prior it’s so ovbious Nicki was referring to Taylor swifts bad blood but whatever the feud is done but it’s so odd how people deny it like open ur eyes lol 😭
I'd love a video about taylors and karlies friendship!
Please make another video on the squad and 4th of July parties
Forgot to mention Dianna Agron! Wonderland is clearly about her
Every one of Taylor’s outfits are always so good. Her fashion taste is chefs kiss
Wildest Dreams will always be my favorite song🩵❤🩵
Remember when 1989 was released and calvin called taylor why she didn't wrote any songs about him so she wrote "i forgot you existed". I'd rather not have any songs about him in the vault and not feed his ego.
I’m sorry but bad blood music is so iconic I will love it forever
I really like your video…info that isn’t click bait….subscribed❤
Kinda wanna know what the "leaked" titles are 👀
i hope one is called harry you cant drive
side note but your voice is so nice to listen to !
This might be the most balance and un-bias cover of gossip news Ive ever found on youtube.
crazy i can HEAR how this channel is a gaylor theorist lmfao. great video anyway, very informative, and made me more excited about 1989TV!!
Im a new Taylor fan could you do these lore videos with her other albums ?
They were Katy’s dancers that toured with Katy on her previous tour
What a super iconic moment in time and I hope Katy and or Nicki is in the 1989 TV 🤞🏻🙏🏻
If REP TV will be out, the lore for that will be massive as that's her comeback era.
I wouldn't say I Bet You Think About Me is off-brand for Red. Maybe Message in a bottle or the very first night
mmm... now i understand what was about K. Closs feud and why most of the swifties were pointing that she was on the Eras Tour..
I think there will be a song that is lyrically similar to ‘Nothing new’, I think that the song would deal with all of the criticizing she was recieving and her friendships/relationships falling apart.
Me knowing everything but still watching anything:
Imagine if bad blood would be feat. Katy😳😳
Everyone gets mad when she write songs about other girls, but loves it when she writes about her boyfriends. Then she gets criticized writing too many songs about boys, so she write about her friends or people who she’s had problems with, and everyone is shocked.
Well that's why she switch in writing songs with fictional characters in her Folklore and evermore album.. Lol
I love the bad blood music video
I can’t believe any of the vault tracks were very left behind they are some of the best songs on their albums
song wildest dreams is about Tony
This is What You Came For could potentially still be on 😂
I thought Get Away Car was written about Tom Hiddleston
I know that Taylor and Harry know about the Style song together .. like the idea of us wanting it on 1989 Taylor’s version
If those bitches don’t deliver I’m gonna be pissed because everyone’s been screaming lol
She put that short hair on like a fur coat and cat walked her way through life.
What an iconic era
id die if they remix bad blood with katy perry 😭😭
20 minutes I’ll never get back
I just have to say it. It's weird that Taylor is so much prettier than the supermodel 😂
Taylor proves that even though your friends break up, you can still be friends with both of them haha
🤔 does anyone else have pictures of them and their best friends in the house?
I want the girl squad video please
I have to disagree with your assessment of the girl squad, that it didn’t look good for her brand, because…I mean she had friends? And those friends eventually sucked. It’s not a branding thing lol
I get that. I'm not saying it's right, just that the media widely criticized it and it definitely did harm her brand, even if her intentions weren't to use it as a marketing tool.
THE HISTORY OF THE GIRL SQUAD
Please make a video Bouton girl squad
please talk more in-depth about the girl squad
No,people being insecure about a woman having models Friends dont deserve a in depth video It is so stupid to shame someone for having Friends just because It makes you insecure
Please make a video about the aquad ❤
taylor cannot get a break omg
are you saying karma songs could be in vault tracks?
there are 2 songs that can be a vault track, keep going and 1989
14:09 "Because Taylor wouldn't let her in the VIP" 💀
