- "1989 (Taylor's Version)" is on the way! On the final date of the first U.S. leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift announced that her re-record of her Grammy-winning 2014 album will be released on Oct. 27. In honor of the announcement, Access Hollywood looks back on our 2014 interview with Taylor about the original LP. The songstress dished on transitioning from country to pop with "1989" and creating the album's signature, cohesive sound. She also shared details about the inspiration and creative process behind some of her new songs, including "Blank Space," "Shake It Off" and "Out of the Woods." This might be among Taylor’s rarest interviews where she wasn’t constantly asked about boys or who the songs are about… I loved it!
This interview is so rewarding. I love how confortable Taylor felt and this is the result of an amazing interviewer, she really understood the asignement, she really listened, she spoke with kindness and admiration. Taylor could opened up to her and express everything she felt about this album. I truly love this conversation between them💙

I became a fan last year after watching Miss Americana on Netflix. She is a brilliant songwriter. She's also an amazing human being.
Fun to hear her say she liked taking two years to create a new album, when she's now created at least two amazing albums ("Folklore" and "Evermore") within basically months. She's so freaking talented.

i think being a celebrity does seem hard. it seems like a hard life to live. and a lot of times it seems like a miserable life to live. you can’t ever really trust anyone, especially not people who are new into your life after you’ve “made it”. everything that should stay private about your life is publicized and you don’t get to keep anything for just you. you’re never allowed to have a bad day, or make a mistake, or do anything bad or have an embarrassing moment and if you do the whole world sees it and rips you to shreds and forgets every good thing you’ve ever done and turns your whole character into the bad, embarrassing thing you did. making art is fun but it’s also expensive, tiring, time consuming and then promoting it and selling it is hard work and not always fun. everyone is constantly demanding something of you. everyone always has something to say about you. people can be really mean to you but it’s seen as acceptable since you’re famous as if having a mansion will make up for people cutting down your self esteem and wounding your emotions. being a celebrity is hard. and it should be okay for them to say it’s hard sometimes. if money can’t buy happiness, people shouldn’t say it can make up for sadness, hurt, frustration or anger.
