Vitiate wins canon palpatine, But in legends it’s different story. In legends winner is: Palpatine. He is superior to Vitiate by both statements and feats wise. People often overrated Vitiate because he drained two planets, therefore they put him on planetary level, that is simply not true, he only ever accomplished these feats through the use of a complex ritual that took days to complete, he never drained planets like Darth Nihilus did, Palpatine on the other hand passively drained the 20 billion population of life force on Byss, he, like Darth Nihilus did all this with his own power, except he didn't become a slave to the hunger like Nihilus did. The people who think Sidious is more powerful than Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorian don’t even know who he is. They never look at Star Wars past the films or even the shows. This is also the same case when comparing characters in live action to those in the EU. Just because a character in live action is more well known to you then a character in a book, comic or game, doesn’t automatically mean the live action version is more powerful/better. If you do explain it, they either don’t care, disagree regardless or eventually agree.

Yarael Poof having manipulated the planet destroying artefact, the Idol of Shaa, with his final ounce of power. AOTC Dooku has the ability to overcome/kill any Jedi weaker than AOTC Yoda with a burst of his Lightning’s full lethality. Giving an indication of how poorly Yarael Poof stacks up in the end. This isn’t even getting into the later Sidious’ from ROTJ onwards where he scales above the Sunstar and the Valley of the Jedi. Valkorion has overcome the Outlander, his superior in raw power but not overall combat Vaylin and the far weaker Arcann, almost immediately. But I’m pretty sure the Outlander’s best AOE feat is overcoming machinery linked to a moon’s core and destroying it that way. When it comes to telepathy Sidious was a major part of mind dominating 19.7 billion people on Byss and then siphoning their life force. The only aid he received for his purely passive feat was acolytes on the world. Given Dromund Kaas’ population is merely in the millions then as the capital world of the Sith empire, Ziost is unlikely to be more than that and would also be millions. So Sidious’ effortless feat is far superior to Vitiate’s weakened feat. You can multiply the feat by ten for Valkorion if you like and the population still wouldn’t match Sidious’ unless for some reason you believed Sidious’ acolytes accounted for over 10 billion of that figure which given collectively they wouldn’t be a match for Sidious then that’s very unlikely. When it comes to telekinesis Sidious has buried the Lusankya (a Super Star Destroyer) in a display of his dark powers. Only in universe scholars tend to contradict this. But it also makes sense that he can do this given his musing of being able to easily destroy his Imperial Palace of which is of a similar size. Valkorion hasn’t TK’d something of such size before. We know Sidious’ lightning far scales above AOTC Dooku’s lethality and as of ROTS onwards was capable of overcoming Vaapad Mace and Yoda. Both of who’s raw power has been briefly detailed prior via Yarael Poof. Valkorion’s in turn hasn’t been fully explored. He can kill Marr who is far beneath Vitiate, who in turn is beneath Plagueis and by proxy Master Dooku. He can KO Arcann who is significantly beneath the Outlander or Vaylin, who in turn are around Vitiate in power. Thus by proxy a similar issue as before. As a result based on feats and scaling it would appear Sidious is significantly more powerful.

In legends winner is: Palpatine. He is superior to Vitiate by both statements and feats wise. The people who think Sidious is more powerful than Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorian don’t even know who he is. They never look at Star Wars past the films or even the shows. This is also the same case when comparing characters in live action to those in the EU. Just because a character in live action is more well known to you then a character in a book, comic or game, doesn’t automatically mean the live action version is more powerful/better.
If you do explain it, they either don’t care, disagree regardless or eventually agree.

@@DarthMarr2009When it comes to just raw overall power during ROTS he was beating Yoda and Mace, who have been vastly stronger than Yarael Poof ever since TPM and have both grown more powerful throughout a decade between TPM-AOTC and three years of war before ROTS. Yarael Poof having manipulated the planet destroying artefact, the Idol of Shaa, with his final ounce of power. AOTC Dooku has the ability to overcome/kill any Jedi weaker than AOTC Yoda with a burst of his Lightning’s full lethality. Giving an indication of how poorly Yarael Poof stacks up in the end. This isn’t even getting into the later Sidious’ from ROTJ onwards where he scales above the Sunstar and the Valley of the Jedi.
Valkorion has overcome the Outlander, his superior in raw power but not overall combat Vaylin and the far weaker Arcann, almost immediately. But I’m pretty sure the Outlander’s best AOE feat is overcoming machinery linked to a moon’s core and destroying it that way.
When it comes to telepathy Sidious was a major part of mind dominating 19.7 billion people on Byss and then siphoning their life force. The only aid he received for his purely passive feat was acolytes on the world. Given Dromund Kaas’ population is merely in the millions then as the capital world of the Sith empire, Ziost is unlikely to be more than that and would also be millions. So Sidious’ effortless feat is far superior to Vitiate’s weakened feat. You can multiply the feat by ten for Valkorion if you like and the population still wouldn’t match Sidious’ unless for some reason you believed Sidious’ acolytes accounted for over 10 billion of that figure which given collectively they wouldn’t be a match for Sidious then that’s very unlikely.
When it comes to telekinesis Sidious has buried the Lusankya (a Super Star Destroyer) in a display of his dark powers. Only in universe scholars tend to contradict this. But it also makes sense that he can do this given his musing of being able to easily destroy his Imperial Palace of which is of a similar size. Valkorion hasn’t TK’d something of such size before.
We know Sidious’ lightning far scales above AOTC Dooku’s lethality and as of ROTS onwards was capable of overcoming Vaapad Mace and Yoda. Both of who’s raw power has been briefly detailed prior via Yarael Poof. Valkorion’s in turn hasn’t been fully explored. He can kill Marr who is far beneath Vitiate, who in turn is beneath Plagueis and by proxy Master Dooku. He can KO Arcann who is significantly beneath the Outlander or Vaylin, who in turn are around Vitiate in power. Thus by proxy a similar issue as before.
As a result based on feats and scaling it would appear Sidious is significantly more powerful.

@@zaiken639 Vitiate never destroyed planets, he simply absorbed all the life energy of the force from them (these are completely different things) and yes, for this he needed a ritual, and prepared rituals take a lot of time, Palpatine could create 5D storms of force that have destructive potential in planet and above, in the novel Plagueis he created a shock wave that shook the stars, etc. And why does the ability to destroy planets (which Vitiate does not have) make you stronger than others? Revan was equal to Viata (not Valkorian) and could defeat him, and Revan's destructive potential was less than one kilometer, since to destroy the temple on Yavin with a radius of one kilometer he needed weapons, your logic does not work

I think Sidious being the most powerful Sith is just silly and makes no sense at all. how can you beat someone that has over 1,500 years of experience... heck how can he beat any of the Jedi and Sith in the old republic that fights for a living? And Luke moving a black hole is a very popular Myth. you see, Luke never moved a Blackhole he moved a Dovin Basal which is significantly weaker than an actual blackhole. it just looks like it. And Palpatine's superior lightsaber skills would be ineffective against Vitiate cause Vitiate can block lightsaber attack with his hands as it was shown in the first chapter in KOTFE in SWTOR. so it really would just be a force battle with Sidious and Vitiate. And experience means a lot more than you think without experience you are nothing without experience you are just an empty shell. so it meaning nothing is just stupid and is an excuse to win an argument. And from what we have seen in EOO (Echoes of oblivion) Vitiate seems to be more stronger than DE Sidious it took the Jedi, the Sith, the Eternal Empire, everyone he killed and effected which he killed way more than Sidious, and the Force itself had to personally stop him as well whereas Sidious only lost from all of the Jedi. but still even if Sidious is more stronger than Vitiate or Vitiate is more stronger than Sidious miracles can happen you know. for example, look at Sidious vs Vader on the death star 2. Sidious is 20% more powerful than Vader but Vader killed him anyway and with ease too... so I think saying Sidious or Vitiate would win no matter what is stupid if I'm being completely honest. I think it can go either way especially when their power difference is probably a couple percent different. BUT if I have to bet my life I would choose Vitiate over Sidious just the fact that he lived way longer than Sidious. But enough of Legends Sidious, as for Canon Sidious Vitiate would just win no debate needed. And you need to realize that the books tend to overexaggerates a character's power to make the story more interesting its a way to get people hooked. it is very similar with cinematics but in book form so they are weaker than what they make it out to be. but lastly I can literally give you the full story of Vitiate for you if you want? cause I don't think you really know who he is no offense.
