I'm just content that the running/dash actually feels like you're sprinting instead of a light jog
I think it make sense since you dont use any stamina while running,in DL1 Crane is straight up sprinting.Sprinting takes a huge amount of energy but you are super quick,running takes less energy but you are slower,if you run a lot you could run for days,but for sprinting you can take athletes as an example

I find it fascinating how they can improved the game so much since it’s release
that's like saying you find it fascinating how someone can improve their grade from 3 to 6. it started off a mess and they just take their fan's suggestion.
I find it fascinating how many people praise Techland for doing the bare minimum, which is just fixing their shitty game that will remain shitty but will just be less broken

@@gabrielius6304 Story even worse than the first game, ovengineered mechanics, poor ragdols, scripted animation based combat, dull sidequests, inferior atmosphere compared to first game, voice acting even worse thant the first game, no guns, healthbars that ruin the immersion, night chases are less dinamic compared to first game, bad pathfinding, weapon modifications are not unique and dont have unique models, etc.
@@mm-qq7bb Well yeah, most of what you said is true. The thing about the healthbars though, you can turn it off in the settings. And it might just be my opinion, but the sidequests are actually good, some of them are better than the actual main story, which is not a good thing obviously.
The funniest part of the update is the air strafing; you can cancel a far jump in any direction at any point in the jump, but still use the momentum from it, so now Aiden can far jump backwards. It's so derpy but I love it.
Gotta give him something to try and live up to Kyle Crane’s absolutely insane physical capabilities
The air control feels amazinf though with the improved gravity, took a minute to get used to falling like a stone but its like my DL1 muscle memorry kicked in and now i can FLY across yhe map with far/slide and high huml
@@LeFloof bruh Aiden is way more broken than Crane ever was, even before the updates the vault kick spam was super strong but now I can shoot 2 crossbow bolts as I'm starting the vault kick. It's mad how op they made Aiden from the start.
@@oroboros88 completely agree there; I'm loving this update and the weight (I really disliked paper body Aiden) is perfect now. Only thing about the current air control is that I managed to get to a spot I needed the grapple hook for by using a backwards dbl jump, not complaining just noting that certain areas can be cheesed because parts of the map just aren't built with air control in mind.

I think DL2 just wanted to add more enemy variety by making human enemies more relevant and common. Also I think I've seen this same copy and paste comment like 20 times throughout yt dl2 content.
Honestly i like it this way, the parkour is by far the best part of dying light and what sets it apart from other zombie games
Because they listened to players and reviews and actually did something about it in the updates. The story got progressively better

it was hard for me at first and now after trying everything i can get around the city 5x faster
I played the other day for the first time since launch, the game is sooooo much better now, night chases and volatiles are great now
I do wish they added more animations foe general parkour that they did, but I know its probably a very difficult task to implement but I think they did a great job with the update q
Maybe when the dlc comes out they'll add another skill tree
The animations were the main issue, there were so many that took so long that it gave you less freedom
I love that you can cancel slides by just letting go of the button early, that was huge, and the momentum system feels great.
Still wish it wasn’t as floaty. Why I loved the first one. Was fast and snappy. Felt like you were moving fast. This one feels like you levitate yourself forward

Techlands commitment to improving their games is just one of the reasons I love them

Push the skills of dying light veterans? With an insanely high jump height and complete air control its so much easier though
Spent like 60% of the game on my glider.
Holy shit now it looks more like Dying Light 1 which is a huge win

Id say the biggest nicest change is the new momentum, running onto a wall at high speed makes the wall run faster, running to a ledge or bar makes you jump over the ledge or swing through the bar faster, it basically makes the parkour more fluid, you even have 100% control in the air now, so you can literaly jump of a building and go exactly where you want to and land on it

Honestly with the gore update and now this update I'd say that you're actually missing out not playing it now. Still needs a few small polishing things, but it feels like an actual sequel now and not just a knock off.

Huge DL1 fan. Finally got this game and glad i got into it adter all the updates to improve the game itself. When i started the game i immediately put the physical option on and have been loving it

A developer actually listening to its fans and implementing good, thought out fixes that’s overall enhance the game without asking for a £60 expansion to justify the development.

After a long time I can finally say that I had fun playing the game
Auto sprint when off will make it that you lose your breath and stop running for a second

I started playing on physical parkour and haven’t even tried the other option 😂 didn’t know it was supposed to be more challenging, but the parkour is fun enough
They need to make the change to either disable throwing your weapon away or put the system in so your thrown weapons show back up in your stash. And I’ve died many times because randomly my character throws the weapon. I’m trying to fight some thing with my bare hands, I die I respond in the weapon no longer exists on the ground where I was just fighting
how about releasing a fully functional and adequate game that is not downgrade in the first place?
So they added something that should’ve obviously been from Day 1? Gotcha. Real groundbreaking. You can really see them moving forward with the franchise.

My fav part was improving the floaty parkour, its still there to some degree but tuank god they decreased it at least, it felt so weird as if you were double jumping in a game where physics are supposed to be realistic

The gravity still feels worse, it feels like someone is pulling me down by my foot, wall running barely gives u a boost now, jump pads are ruined it now feels like a waste buying that survivor upgrade because there's barely a difference between the blue pads and the yellow pads...vaulting is more difficult for no reason and vault jumping is weird and doesn't respond, slide jumps were changed for no reason, now it's r1 instead of L1 for no reason. And I have a bunch of glitches where I can't join people online, I can't access traders, my gear, or my stash without getting a blue screen, can't go to craftmasters either...so I'm annoyed at this update for the most part

It was good but IMHO I think they can do a bit more tweaking like slamming into a wall when jumping over somethings that are too close or slipping off of wet walls during rain etc..

How does the grappling hook feel? Been waiting to get the game till i get a pc, but I like seeing it grow and get better and better.
I might be late but looks like they’d changed everything. Firstly, they replaced a Howler with a Volatiles at night. Secondly, they changed a looks from a zombie when we use survivor sense. I know there are more but can’t figure it out yet.
When i got the game it didnt feel like the dying light i knew and loved and immediately got a refund, this change makes me want to get the game all over again
The floating is like you walking on the moon, it sucks

@wasteland_bandit0654 Maybe, i heard it was changed to be more like e3, and when i played around, it felt really hard to tell if i vaulted over a small item to do a far jump.
@@SparklingWater.269 yeah, I was hoping it would be more realistic, when aiden does the far jump, he bends down and jumps, bending his knees to slice through the air
They did actually change the far jump animation for a bit but from what i remeber there were some pronlems with it so they reverted it

Unfortunately now the biggest need is an overhaul to the campaign, but I think that's more off limits than fixing the floatiness.

For real lol. Head bob adds weight to animations.
I set it to 0 the head bob was just too much made me a bit disoriented and slowed down my parkour
playing with head bob on dl2 gave me extreme motion sickness, and i don’t get that from any other game
i thought a newer one was made and than i looked at the date of the short.... XD
Have they improved the fighting? I can't stand the new psychics when hitting a zombie. It felt way more weighty & punch in the first game
But will it still take forever to get ultramarathon achievement ?????
I absolutely love the parkour in this game but the most irritating thing is the fact that i have a little over 80 hours in and on new game plus, but parkour level i still only 21

I like the new parkour, except for the insane air control. But ill just mod that out and make all the movement more realistic so idm that much

@@damonguill9648 yeah, really throws off that more realistic approach the rest of the changes took (I know it's just to replicate DL1 and expand skill expression). On the other hand tho, I know the realistic parkour mod author is working on a new update and a couple other people have asked them to hopefully remove air control so maybe it'll happen.
The air control is what finally made this game good
@@void7837I'd say it's derpy but I enjoy it. Like you can cancel a far jump backwards, do a high jump hip wiggle, or even dropkick sideways which is weird af. For me the best part of the update is Aiden's weight, he no longer feels like he has a paper airplane for a body

I still don't get the auto sprint thing... I'm on console, activated it and realized it does exactly nothing. Aiden literally sprints as soon as you hold the joystick forward. I thought it'd make that speed boost after certain actions automatically so that I don't have to destroy my finger pressing the joystick but it actually does nothing-
Wasn't auto running in game before?
I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong, but whenever I turn off auto sprint Aiden just suddenly gets tired and stops running like I'm using the faster sprint even though my stamina is full and I'm just normally sprinting. Is this on purpose?

main thing that made me lose interrest is the map, its boring, DL1 map was cramped and tight
Techland devs are the best. They are so active with their games. Especially dying light 1 and 2
