Nice to see you used hand tools, I think many cooks and indeed chefs reach for the power tools far too often. A Creme Brulée or Caramel is a great crowd pleaser and family favourite for special times. I used to make them for the kids Birthday Teas, with grated white and dark chocolate shavings over the top and sides.

Can we use full fat milk instead of evaporated milk ?
Hi Margo, you can place the full fat milk over heat, allow it to reduce in quantity while stirring constantly. Now you have evaporated milk. Allow it to cool before using😊

What if we don’t have a steamer basket
You can just put a stainless steel plate face side down in the pot of water and place the Flan on the top to steam.

And I’m not sure I have a stainless steel plate since I’ve never heard of that lol dang it . I want to make one so bad
