I remember liking this type of metal when i was like 14. It's impressive, but there really isn't much to grasp on to.

You were not liking brutal death metal at age 14. You were probably getting into the classics still. There is plenty to grasp on to in this type of death metal: headbanging (neck-breaking) riffs, tight drumming, and all-around energetic performances.
That is my opinion, however.

Without changing much, death/brutal evolved out of that generic state, and became less boring in my opinion. Mindless blasting and grinding all still there, but every time less popular. I still like it, depending on the capability of the band to make it sound original.

You cannot compare Disgorge with Cattle Decapitation, because both are different for many reasons. Disgorge is fast as fuck, and Cattle is really technical bro.

No Bro, that Guy is a fucking machine. Maybe you misunderstood me. 'Cause What I said was that Ricky only needs speed in his performance, because of guitars composition (It doesn't mean that he can not use techniques and figures). Cattle's drummer uses speed and techniques, for that reason he seems better than Ricky, but actually he is not.
