The whole band is unique, but the drumming is so ingenious. This guy has a definitive style that doesn't bleed into others the way some other great drummers do.

Jamie is THE DUDE!
Very interesting stuff, and he has some very unique technique that seems to work for him somehow.
Not a big fan of his cymbal sound, but his playing is very tight. He keeps the proper dynamics on the snare drum when he is blasting. You can tell a newbie when you see someone blasting with about half the volume as they regularly play their snare drum with. Good stuff.

Agreed, yet hes still one of the fastest and technical drummers out there. I've said this before... of the many "generic diner burger" extreme metal drummers, he definitely stands out!

They are the Deathspell Omega of death metal!! And the best thing is....no clean vocals :)
These guys and Gorguts have that DSO style of dissonant - almost indistinguishable - guitar parts. It's amazing to see that style put to use; it creates some of the most interesting and foreboding atmospheres in music. I still cannot describe how Shrine of Mad Laughter be DSO changed my perception of dissonance and rhythm. It's unreal.
