I love this content. Especially the long form stuff on your RUclips channel lately. I never realized what a huge nerd for fashion history I was until you started making these kinds of videos.
Would love to see a vid on clothing care and washing, especially to prolong the quality and life of vintage clothes. I feel like washing machines and especially dryers can be so destructive
I have never really seen videos on the history of clothing before this video but I gotta say you got me hooked! Love the content and can’t wait for your next video!
I just bought the Manresa Leblanc pants and you were the only one who had a video on them. I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel!! The content you post is fantastic and super informative. Not sure if anyone on RUclips has resonated as much to me in terms of fashion which is super cool!
I follow you on instagram and love your content on both platforms. I just wish you had more long form content here no youtube. It would be so fun to watch.
watching this as i literally just bought a pair of LVC 1947 cut 501s lmao, unfortunately i no longer have a bathtub to shrink them in so i went true to size in the waist and one size larger in the length to accommodate for the washing machine.
@@edgyalbert I know what i'm gettin into haha, I usually even go a size down from a 32 to a 31 for regular STFs if i want a slim cut, thanks though. I don't know if this is true of your experience but for some reason the shrinkage is minimal for me if i do a delicate cycle in my washing machine, i've only ever noticed the inseam shrinking for the most part. Within a day or two they always stretch back out in the waist.
Have a pair of DS 1990 STFs that are true to size in my waist, but nervous to shrink. Would wearing them in a lukewarm or cold bath first to see what happens be safe? Or as long as I’m wearing them in the hot bath, the waist will stay fine?

This is great. Reminds me of your personality when you were on Heddels.
I could listen to you talk about jeans for hours on end, please keep making this long form content!
That was awesome.

I used to sit in my tub, shrinking my 501 Jeans--all through the 80's. It was something you did if you wanted your jeans to fit like a glove.

You’ve officially made me a fashion history nerd. (Taking a class on it this semester because of u lol)
This is great content, TY! What are your thoughts about not washing denim all the time? (I remember something about freezing in between wearings.)

Love your content. Would've also love to see the pre and after soak comparison. Keep it up!
More of these!
"Enslaved People"...Brooks Bros. was a huge supplier of the clothing.
they took an inherent fabric flaw and made it marketable
What about the rise? I like my pants highrise. Im assuming when you shrink them the rise reduces. Love you albert!
the shrink is negligible in the rise!
No more videos chap?

be careful, those are weirdly slim out the gate!

good to start with lukewarm first if you're worried!
