In my 60+ years of collecting, I've been able to find every Lincoln wheat cent in circulation for a date/mintmark set with the exception of the 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1914-D, 1922-D, 1922 (no mintmark), 1931-S, and a 1955 Double Die. When I was in the 4th grade one of the boys I went to school with got a 1909-S in change from the cafeteria. I don't know if it had the VDB, but I was jealous.
Been out of touch for quite awhile. Question. Are star notes worth anything? I have two that are one serial number apart from each other. In good shape.

I just the otherday realized coins can be like baseball cards with errors. I have so many I would need to go through but tonight I started quickly glancing at some of them. I laid out 60, 1776-1976 half dollars. I noticed the backside were all seemingly the same but for 1. Where the "bell" might be is an actual hole. Not a drill mark that goes all the way through, but a clean perfectly positioned hole. I flipped the coin over and the front side shows an obvious bulge in JFKs neck. Is this something I should have checked out?
I understand your frustration with ads, but that's the reality of RUclips. There's no such thing as a free lunch, so if you're not going to pay for the content directly, then us creators need sponsors. I have a 1937 and a 1946. Neither has a mint mark on it. Were those mistakes, or did the mints stop stamping them?

Yes, but only if they are from a rare series or have a fancy serial number

If it's a hole in the coin, it's just someone or a company that drilled into it
