@@PennyTonesAndErrorsI've found 2 1943 copper cents. The first one is a 1943 steel that's dipped or painted copper. It doesn't pass the magnet test. It's a shame because it's in MS condition. The second one passes all 5 tests. Magnet , weight, color, measurement specifications and most importantly the style of the #3. It has some damage on the 3 like it was hit with something. I've been told that people get creative and manipulate the dates from other coins numbers to look like a #3. I haven't sent it out to PCGS or other grading companies yet.
I have a 1943 zinc (?) Coated copper penny that was in a coin collection that I inherited from my grandmother who started collection from her grandmother I know it's Coated because a small spot in the coating flaked off. Should I have this graded
I found a 1963 D struck on what I think is a Australian sixpence planchet that weighs 2.82 grams. It's got rust on it but I'm going to send it in to have varified.

Great info Thanks 😊 Question I have a 1928 🌾 Brown little dark spots but nice coin should I get it graded I put in a coin chat someone offered $500 bucks for it🤨 I also have two 1982 D 1 date one 🚫 and a 1983 copper 3.1?? Like #209
New for watchin the channel and I don't mind if I can get a few things done on watchin the channel, thanks 👍 I have reservations for the channel as a member
what you recommend keeping coins in ? I currently have been using SAFLIP brand little double sleeve pocket things. I wish it was easier to sort them though and they always seem to slide out. Also I've been keeping those sleeves in a shoebox rubber banded. Should I be keeping the sleeves in something airtight where they can't get moisture in hot humid Florida where I live...? Thank you for your videos!
I have the old coin albums but I also use the coin pages that go into a 3 ring binder. I like it. It works like my trading card storage and keeps the coins upright and protected.
Hello, I have become, a big fan of your channel. Last year, I found a 1943D Steel Penny. Deep in my heart, I just know that it is real. However, I sent it to PCGS, and the penny was returned to me as a counterfeit. I won't rest till I have it totally verified. I would like to know if you have any suggestions for me ⁉️ Thank you.👍
What? All 1943’s are steel. It will stick to a magnet. The 1943 copper is the expensive rare coin! Or the 1944 steel! There are a bunch of counterfeits being sold on Mercari for close to a grand. Don’t fall for it! There are only a few known ones, yet that seller has dozens.
Pcgs graded a counterfeit 100 dollar note this yr ay the top grade of 70. They didn't even know it was counterfeit 😮. I bet that counterfeitier is so happy thinking they will be famous for fooling pcgc. Don't give up hope. I'm gonna send some things to Anex
I have 44 mercury dime with (i believe) a W mint mark. Can you advise me in what to do from here. I live in a VERY SMALL town and dont have any sort of coin shop to turn to. Any advice will be appreciated.
I think the steel penny I have is either 1941 or 43 and looks brand new. I don’t know if it was really touched but was not graded yet because I don’t know where to go and not letting anyone touch it.
Hi, thank you for your video, yours has been the most helpful. Do I have the ability of emailing a couple of photos to you just to see if it would be worth my while to get an appraisal? Any help you could provide would be appreciated! TYIA!
Thank you for all the info. I found a bunch of Wheaties and this one from 1918 looks like his beard has flames from the indent and near the rim by date looks like their was too much cooper and got smashed oddly and the reverse looks like it got pushed in and not even because of the cluster on the face side. It's fun too look at them up close. I never knew coins with error or less ones made could be with so much money. I can see why people can get into this. Even found a bunch of the steel ones and one looks a bit smaller than a penny but says penny. Guess I better educate myself on this kinda stuff. I might have a winner in this pile. Either way Thanks for the videos. I am enjoying your knowledge.
Please help me. I have a 1994 d Lincoln cent that has the appearance that Lincoln's throat is slit. I can't find ANYTHING about it anywhere!!!! Any info would be helpful.
I found a 1944 steel penny and yes it’s magnetic , but I did clean it because it was black when I got it. Did I just completely ruin the coin by cleaning it?
All coins are minted at a mint facility. There are coins with mintmarks and coins without. Coins are "raw" or ungraded when coming out of circulation or from a US Mint Coin Store purchase, etc. You can then get them graded by a certified grading company.
I have a 2001 D Lincoln cent behind the date it has IN GOD WE TRUST but it is spelled backwards what's your opinion is it worth selling or grading it's in really good shape
sounds like it has been double struck and rotated in collar. where is Liberty showing? Anything unusual on the reverse? I would have someone look at it! Treasures are found every day! Smiles
How do I go about getting my pennies properly checked and graded I inherited 3 collectors books looks like dates start at 1909 to 2000 most of them are filled spots
I just found a 1873 penny the 8 looks open it looks like some double is going on it looks like a closed 1873 I wish i could show it but the 8 is definitely open at the bottom loop and you can see the crossing in the 8 it’s not closed loop and in god we trust looks like it’s got some splits on it
I have what i believe is possibly an unanswerable question, but yeah, gonna ask anyway ... On the 1925 penny there are Denver minted pennies without the D, and then of course the Philadelphia has no mint mark. ....Um.... How do you know which one you have? Is there a way to determine this? If so, how? (And, PLEASE, no wise cracks, I am kinda new at this, serious answers only)🙂🙃
Correct - Denver will have a "D" mint mark, "S" for San Francisco, and Philadelphia will have no mint mark. As of 2017, Philadelphia minted Lincoln cents will have a "P" mint mark henceforth ... Philadelphia was known as the "mother mint", so the mint felt it unnecessary to put in extra effort, so they did not mint mark Lincoln cents. Happy hunting - good luck!!
Im here just curious about these considering i found a 1945 no mint penny (doesnt seem to be steel, more like a copper and it definitely weighs more than a modern penny
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
1943 wheat cents are supposed to stick to a magnet because they're made of steel. It's the 1944 wheat cent that's not supposed to stick to a magnet because it's made of copper.

Because they are copper.
