You are the reason why my coin is taking so long to be graded! Its been 3 months since I sent ONE semi key date morgan for grading to ngc. It took until today for them to begin grading it.
I played guess the grade as you were showing off the coins, and surprisingly, i did better than I thought I would do. I loved seeing those harder to get dates. Thanks for sharing.
Hello! New subsriber all the way from Norway here. I have just decided to start collecting graded coins, and your channel is the first one that has truly caught my eye. Great stuff on here, sir.
@@Silverpicker The others didn't seem to have the black inside lettering, the others had the black mostly in the fields or they were black around lettering as well as in the lettering. Nice lot over all and the cleaned coins had pretty good eye appeal.
I totally agree. If you’re buying coins at that level it’s either a filler for a high end collection or it’s a “budget collection,” and in that case, my opinion is just to collect for eye appeal. Get coins that look nice to you (plus the price point is more or less the same)

While there's a lot I dislike about whatnot (gambling, fraudulent/lying/misrepresenting sellers), I did use your promo code and got a Perth colored silver dragon below melt :)
i don't think you are going to sell any of them for redbook value or more. you will be lucky to get graysheet values especially if you are not willing to put a lot of time effort into it.
Rite from start tells me he does not send a lot coins to NGC only PCGS puts coins in plastic box only way NGC will is if you send them into them in plastic ngc box so it has ZERO to do with being a dealer or not all the same
15:30 LIKE A G6 😂 WAW!!!! Does it value for 4000 bucks?? Really????! I have a super super 'brand new' *1881 O* in comparison to this one, I wonder it should value 10X more.
dood you need better lighting if you want us to guess if a coin is cleaned. you don't need a flash light per se but you could set up a small task lamp as if it were a flashlight so we can actually tell.
I’m gonna sound like Scrooge here, but here goes. First, it’s hard to tell on my phone screen, but I thought NGC was very generous with some grades - to me there were several that straight graded but looked cleaned to me - you even said a few times you thought some were going to come back cleaned (to which I agree) and yet got straight graded. Second, how can someone who sells coins regularly not know what Top 100 means? Third, I know you said you used NGC price guides as your values, but those aren’t really the best measure of values. NGC is many times out of date and just slightly less ridiculous than PCGS price guide for real values. Greysheet (CPG for retail and bid for wholesale) are usually much closer to real values (most dealers subscribe to it). And lastly, I get it - you’re trying to market yourself to raise interest for your selling platforms, but I like watching the videos for the coins, not for your advertisement for What Not. Seems everyone is trying to go there, but I’ll stick to LCS’s, coin shows and other reputable online dealers and auction sites.
You can have your opinion, nothing wrong with that. The only thing Scrooge-like in your comment is what you didn’t say. I asked a question about what Top-100 means and you took the time to shame me for not knowing it, but refused to actually teach me. Not really sure what the point of that is. Also, the idea that I make these videos entirely to market my coins on Whatnot is pretty ridiculous. I’ve made ~600 videos (all for free), mostly dedicated to helping new collectors get into the hobby and avoid scams. I’ve been selling on whatnot for 2 years and I love it, but I’ve been on RUclips since 2013. Don’t always assume the worst of people
@@SilverpickerI think you were suggesting you don't really possess the basic knowledge that somebody who claims to be in your field should have.. I'm not saying that's my opinion but I think that's what he's trying to say
@@Tim99-lg7kn I understand what he's suggesting. I'm saying that it's a pretty dumb reason to try and invalidate my expertise. Not to mention that in the video I take an educated guess and get it right.
Please realize the prices he is saying are FULL RETAIL PRICES so do your own research before buying at those prices or you will lose around 40 to 45 percent when resold to a dealer just FYI
Margins are VERY slim in the world of coins. Full retail or close to it is usually what it will sell for on most coins...especially coins like Silver Eagle's. You're not going to find a $250 CC Morgan and buy it for half that...if grey sheet is $250, that's generally what it will sell for. So, full retail (or close to) is generally what it will sell for.
Wow more crazy information a 1895 o in VG straight grade is 255 list retail price according to NGC the people who graded that coin now his is VG details cleaned so how in the crap can a details coin be worth more the straight grade so much misinformation out there please don’t take this guys coins or lies for truth these are the scammers out there
I mean you can slander me and assume the worst or you can ask a question like a normal person. NGC’s price guide does not list prices for details grades. I got values for the details grade coins from eBay sold listings. It’s publicly available information that you can verify yourself. To answer your question, sometimes the market does strange things. It’s not inconceivable that pricing from two different sources for similar goods would be similar even if there are some differences. Also, essentially calling me a liar about this is so dumb. In your mind, what do you think the value difference is between these two coins? You think I’m off by 10%? 20%? That’s a disagreement on the margins not a matter of dishonesty
@ On the comment screen of the video, it looks like the thumbnail says “We Did It”, so it might have been changed. On the video in my feed, the thumbnail says “$100k?”.

Awesome video nice Morgan silver dollars congratulations on you're ms coins and very nice 1893 s 4000.00 coin nice thanks for sharing silver picker
Some of those would fill holes in my Morgan albums. Unfortunately, what I need is more than what's in my pocketbook.
Well done Pick!!
Repaired is new to me si i looked it up and it applies to scratches being polished out, details being re-etched, rims being deepened and the like.
Yep, seems like a catch all for lots of issues related to improper restoration
Excellent marketing! Great learning value. I mean that with respect.
I like the video! But for the next one id like to cover the others because u can see all grades before u pick the next coin...
15:24....ahhhh, the King of all Morgans!!! Great video...ignore the haters...they're just jealous.
that is a trade dollar not a seated liberty ... probably they filled in a chop mark giving it repaired hard to tell.
Ugh did I call it a seated? 🤦♂
Caught that too
The dark spots around the lettering on the 1889-o is the give away for cleaning
That’s what I was thinking too, but I had some others that looked like that and came back with a grade

Question: What did it cost to get them graded/ slabbed?
Got14 right . Some great coins there.
Nicely done!
Am I able to submit one coin to get ngc tested
if we are being honest there isn't really much difference between vf and vf-cleaned.

WOW. been awhile since i watched.
Welcome back :)

Greysheet is more accurate than the 1year always out of date Redbook.
Nobody ever seems to get the prices out of either of those books the only people that make money from them are the people who print those books

how much you pay for all of it to graded it?
$35 per coin
Send Morgan’s to PCGS. They realize 5-10% more when you sell them

What's with all the ms 60 predictions. There are barely any of those lol
