    Love your videos! Also like that you don’t dispense with the pretentious naming conventions other car channels use in their titles. For example “1985 BMW M535i E28 M30B35 Turbo.” Seriously? I know true car buffs know what all that means, but that’s a mouthful for a video title. You keep it simple and I appreciate that. 😉🙏

    I've been binging on watching your videos. Great content. I'm glad to finally see you got the detail right on the center caps. It's been itching me to tell you but didn't want to sound like a smart ass. Center cap aligned with the valve stem is that Honda detail not everyone knows.

    Careful with the front jackstand location. Where you have the front jackstands located at 2:02 is not a lifting spot. You can damage the fenders pretty badly!

    • @crxseth
      @crxseth  2 года назад

      But it’s the reinforced jacking spot, not directly on the fender.

      @@crxseth see how there are two spots on the front that look like reinforced plates?

    But why such cheap coilovers? Just get Ohlins. I know they are expensive but if can afford a clean S2000 you can afford them. I started with HKS gt, then went to HKS spec20 which is better. I just wish I’d gotten Ohlins to begin with.

    Heating the bolt is wrong way, you need to heat the nut.

    • @crxseth
      @crxseth  2 года назад

      Good to know for next time.

    • @ericmyers1306
      @ericmyers1306 2 года назад

      If you're thinking the nut is fused/stuck to the bolt, that is incorrect. The steel sleeve in the LCA to shock bushing rusts to the splined shaft of the bolt. The goal is to heat the shaft of the bolt enough to free the rust on the shaft of the bolt. Thankfully, Honda is smart enough to use a splined bolt shaft, otherwise, once the rust sets in, you have to cut everything apart and press in new bushings. Given the age, mileage and amount of rust.... I'm betting there's a fair amount of deterioration in the rubber of the bushings, and you might want to consider doing that anyway.
