The Mexican Mojaxx :D
christophermiel He wishes... 😉
That is an awesome username.
One of the greatest mixers of all time. Nothing beats the echo on it and my brain melted when I was shown the sin wave effect. Wish I still had my old one. Great episode.
PLEASE, continue making more videos in this series! I really enjoyed the first 4 videos you made, and there are many more bits of equipment to review!
Rocked that 909 for about 8 years .. still haven’t seen another mixer with “fader roll” “fader synth” etc ... I love my s9 but I miss those fader effects ... gave the sounds just a bit more of an organic hand controlled flavor ... respect
fader roll 4eva
My favorite mixer. I've had a 707 for about 10 years and finally found a used 909 off ebay for $300 a couple of years ago. Mounted some dicers on top and sits in a road case with a Rane box wired up, all connected to a USB hub. I call it my ghetto S9. It's ready for every gig.
Still one of my favorite battle mixers. I always loved stepping to one cause you can just really dive in and be experimental.
this mixer is legend... wait for it.. dary. Legendary!!
Is this classic gear ? Damn, i’m getting old... 😂
It was released 15 years ago. So yeah, we’re getting old. 😳
I know! I feel old now lol
This is classic like dj’s now-a-days call house produced 10-20 years ago “classic” house. Owned this mixer for a while, and build quality, sound quality was not great, even for that time. Features such as tension and the foot switch were pretty cool, and obviously the touch screen. Great color too, just faded too quickly near the crossfade with consistent use.
I had this mixer for many years, certainly do miss the old girl. It'd more than hold it's own even today.
when i done my pro dj course back at 2005, they had this mixer there as one of the best mixers, they said that you can "fall in love" with this
Memories! i used one of these at my residency 4 nights a week in beijing for a good 5 years or more. really miss it! it was all about the echo out! we all used that waaaay too much for the first few months after the club installed it! lol
this mixer was well ahead of its time.I have seen some great djs start their dj life on this bad boy.
bought mine last year for 400 bucks with a case and the thing was a great shape.
I still have mine. Solid mixer!!!
Bought this mixer back in 2004 brand new, thing was a beast! I miss the foot pedal option, my favorite to use doing cuts live.
Had the DJM-909 before it was a pretty solid and dope. Love the effects , adjusting line and crossfader(especially the tension part) and touchsecreen where you can change at an instant. Do agree about the buttons mine didn't trigger well so I deoxit and worked out good. Sucks I sold it and regret it in the near future likely will get one. Oh ! Can put effects on vinyl and Serato. That was a definite plus for me.
I will never replace this mixer, imho it’s still the best turntable for playing vinyl. Built like a tank!
Yo-yo,, I just got into Dj life and this is the one I got. This video rocks and I hope to see you along my journey. Sincerely,
Dj SHiM
Still using my 909. Super dope mixer.
faces316 hello do you need a Serrato sound card for it
Yes this mixer needs a soundcard
It was the best mixer for more than one decade!
One of my favorite mixers ive ever owned. Only issue was the upfaders. Wish they had the same adjustments as the crossfader.
Love this series
Having the silver edges I think it looks best with silver turntables. It's a beautiful setup.
this mixer was so ahead of its time.
This is still my Mobil gig mixer. That echo hold is still amazing. 909 for life....
Hold Echo is the bomb.
to me..its still one of the best 2 channel mixer ever made....
That was a crazy mixer
Just got the 909 wit serato built in and it is dope and only paid 300 could not beat it
What up mister remix it was a pleasure meeting you at the #turntablemeet
I still have mine I use. Upgraded to innofader and scratched up that crossfader plate. Dicers and a subcontroller still cheaper than a S9.
Still using my 909. Just picked up 2 more because I dropped my original (in a case) and the fader curve knobs on the front pushed in and broke. One more common defect is the head phone jack.
More of those review please 🙏🏽👍🏻
Great video!
Please review the Roland DJ-2000
I think I really liked about this mixer is that you can assign some effects to the faders
IMHO, the 707 and 909 still have the most perfect contour adjust controls for the upfaders (tried Vestax 07, Rane 57SL, Vestax 05 Pro IV, Thudrumble TRX ánd Pioneer's own S9.
I bought the black/grey 909 new in the early 2000’s it was far superior to anything in the market. The 909 and the Rane 56 were my go to 2 channel mixer until I purchased the S9 two years ago. Jazzy Jeff rocked the 909 for years which is where I learned and masters the echo fade out. I have since sold both the 56 and the 909 but in all honesty miss the 909. The only issue I had was one of the effect select buttons (on the side of the screen) would get stuck sometimes. Top 10 DJ mixers of all times.
You could tell that faceplate must be really beat up because you put that skin on it. Still one of my favorite mixers of all time. I also have the 707 in addition. One of the best 2CH DJ mixers ever made!
Where can you get that skin?
Had the 707 for the longest solid mixer. I always wanted the 909 just for that echo out. If you paid $300.00 for that you got a deal.
That's exactly what I paid with the flight case. I have alot to learn.
I want more classic videos
I bought 909 5 months ago and it is damn great!
But I have got some advice, watch out for screen control switches when you picking up a mixer. I broke mine like that :/
How do you hook up a powered booth monitor to one of these? Is the booth out stereo or mono? I just picked up an Eon 610 with a left and right rca on one end and the trs connectors on the other. But I noticed on the back it says booth/session. Thanks
Just got one user friendly as easy to figure out love the thing haha buttons are abit sticky tho have to willge the bank buttons around abit to un stick them so I can click the other bank button sometimes
The only problem I'm having with my 909 is when I actually put the fader in the middle to blend the songs all of a sudden the volume dies down. What can I do to solve this problem?
Hi, how are phono preamp ? Vs djm s9 ? Thank you !
still have till now
I just got this mixer a few months ago. How do I loop a section of a record that I'm playing??? HELP!!!!
Does this mixer need to be lubed/cleaned?
if you're a vinyl dj this is a great choice even today, it was the last analogue pioneer mixer, other good options are djm 500/600 I think there is one other analogue pioneer mixer but from what I remember it wasn't great, so yes great choice for vinyl djs, only reason I'm saying this is all newer pioneer models have Digital sound processing and are better suited for cdj's and serato kinds of stuff they have no true analogue output .
Thanks fi dis! Hey, there have been all this rage about Pioneer Vs Denon and who is better. I have been telling people that this not new. We have had this debate since early 2000's when the first DCJ came out and the Motorized Denon DN-S5000 came with better functionality. Since this is a classics sub-channel perhaps, do you think yu can give your viewers a run on the historic battle between the two brands, which to me is simply abut superior quality/functionality Vs cub popularity
i have my mixer for 15 years and I love it but I need a new crossfader and thats the problem....where can I buy it now in the 2018 ? thank you :)
innofader
The s9 is a gorgeous mixer smh sheesh
Same crossfader 909 & 707?
it was my first mixer and i regreat selling it
if you could buy these modded with soundcard id deffo swap it for my s9, great mixer!
Benjarni Pimp My Turntables in Jersey has done that mod before.
Just got DJM 707 and think how to make new paintjob course original faceplates are rusty:( but was hard to resist with 30 bucks price:)
Do a pdx one
Where's that faceplate from?
I love these classic mixer reviews. You failed to mention the infamous TAP button issue. The biggest issue and only issue with it.
Can you explain .Thanks
@@createnotdestroy3099 the BPM “Tap” button jams after a while. I have one. I heard it’s due to dust. But basically it gets stuck or stops functioning.
I miss the Pitch Echo!
I'll never let mine go
Jazzy Jeff has one with serato box installed
Where’s that faceplate from???
The best mixer in my eyes ever. Im so sad that I sold mines.
you fucked up
Jesus Juice Official one of my most biggest regrets of my life. I was in need of money at the time. It felt like I lost one of my kids.
dam i feel. that. i been wanting one since i started spinning in 05... sadly it doesn't fit my needs as I've grown to use 4 CDJs but it would be great to have one for fun.
That intresting
Old fashioned but built like a tank
I have a 909 and I'm happy with it but some of the effects are so hard to figure out how to use properly without a manual or tutorial
Buzzkill 808 Raven hello do you use a Serrato audio card with mixer
@@RekonizeOfficial nope, why?
Mojaxxx
I use mine with my denon sc3900
I was actually about to order this mixer from guitar center then cancelled my order and found a Z2 for $30 more and to be honest I shouldn't have done that
I think this Jazzy Jeff's Favorite!......or use 2 be!....lol
The real grandpa to the 72
i wouldnt say grandpa as its only 14. def father tho
Jesus Juice Official lol to me it’s 909 grandpa and s9 is the father and the baby is 72
I have replaced to the old amber light on the screen for some new blue lessons and it looks much better now.. Check it out on my IG @teks1200shop
I regret selling mine back in 2016
I owned the 707, not sure if the 909 faders were the same but they were garbage, when I opened the crossfader it was a lot of plastic and thin metals.…mine literally broke in a a couple of months of turtablism use. When you say heavy you are not kidding…I had but a gym membership just to pick this mixer up.
What happened with the Antriks review contest?? (ruclips.net/video/kx22LECH-GM/видео.html) ... Was one of the first few to reply, and haven't heard anything ... ?? Keep up the sweet vids. Peace
I have one and never used it. I need to sell, anyone interested? Leaveva note.
