It took your detailed piano arrangement for me to realise that the part from 1:04 to ~ 1:10 sounds very similar to Buckbeak's flight from Harry Potter 3. I always find it strange how music that's often got nothing to do with other tunes it resembles share remembrances and familiarities; I guess for the most part it shows how we tend to unconciuosly remember things and use them to put "our" works together; "Stealing" and "copying" tunes are what a non- composer would call this phenomenon, but few people seem to understand that we are mostly unable to create anything radically new. Everything is composed and made out of tiny fragments of other things, and I personally think that's beautiful in its own way.
That's such a marvelous soundtrack; one of the many reasons I love Hans Zimmer, especially the works from before he chose the minimalistic path (which is still great).

How do you record your audio? I'm curious because I also have a Yamaha piano and it has a built in recorder, but it's basically useless because it uses a proprietary file format that can't be converted into midi files. Kinda a bummer.
