At least you can override and shut off that annoying backup beeper when backing into a truck stop parking area at 2:00AM. Also disabling the "auto start/stop" idle switch is a bonus too. Especially in Winter.
Trailer brake switch? Here's what happened to me. I don't use the trailer brake for anything, and I didn't even consider it. However my cell phone was in a vent grip holder above it and fell out of the holder onto the trailer brake lever. I didn't even realize it and thought my rear trailer brakes locked up somehow. They could have put a protective bar above it to keep that kind of thing from happening.
Need a auto adjust temperature switch for the sleeper got it running full blast when I lay down around 4 and am freezing by midnight with it cooling off outside
Which one was the engine brake? Just started driving tractor trailers my company has these Kenworth t680 I’m driving in mountains and want to continue to be safe
My 2022 T 680 has no APU. and I have to way or gauge or button to activate my start stop battery savingbtrmp control mode. wtf? Do I have to run engine all night to get relief from heat and humdity?
I do t have an auto start stop switch for opti idle but is just like this otherwise and I can’t find out how to use my opti idle anywhere, it always shows they switch.
Literally upgraded to a brand new KW T680, I must be stupid or something because the lockjaw switch doesn't stay activated long enough for me to hook up to a trailer. Took me about 20 minutes just trying to unhook from a step deck...what am I doing wrong lol? My old 16 Freightliner iCascadia evolution was simple. Mechanical didn't fail me. This computer junk mixed with a pneumatic system is throwing a wrench in my gears..
Mine is not set up like that. I've never drove a Kenworth before. I've had Peterbilt, freightliners and an International. I'm trying to figure out how to turn the lights on! 😭
Well that's how it's been ordered. Same for my Pete. Like my company, yours has some intellectually deficient bureaucrats who never drove in their life spec'ing your equipment.
@@pubghandguns8960 This is what company drivers have to put up with. A lot of company drives are company tools. They don't know what half the buttons are for in a truck or how to couple correctly to a trailer.
You didn’t finish…. There’s still that knob next to the radio with the curled arrow. Also, in the sleeper there’s a bottle with snowflake switch. WTH is that????
That doesn't tell me how to disable this lane departure that's always screaming at me even when I'm in the lane ridiculous how these malfunctioning trucks are always malfunctioning I will be in my lane in this thing all the time making the sound at me
I love Kenwort t680 but the engineer is destroying the truck it’s has to many dumb stuff like backing in the door looks like retardants driving . Hope they start doing the right way
Oooh really!! You can’t imagine how much your short video was very important!!!!
Thanks a lot and be blessed abundantly 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much! because I was never really taught about all the controls.
What up Wild Beard, great night to ya!!
Thank you !!! your video helped me out. I’ve only driven Freightliners . Great video
Yup me too
You told me everything EXCEPT for what I need to know

i can disable one cut the wires

Thank you

What’s the button on the very end of the turn signal??
Shutting off the sound alarm?
I’m trying to turn on fan/AC in the sleeper cab. The inverter is functioning. There’s no obvious way to start 🤔 ideas?
Has to be in cool mode. You may need to reset the inverter.
I can’t find the headlight switch. Please help.
Very good but I need videos how fix or replace parts please
Were the jake brake?
fr
Is there a setting to make the backing up more smoothly?
with an auto shift transmission? If so, some models have a creep mode for hooking up and docking.
Actually, turning off hillstart assist helps.

Do you know what Spare switch does?
I wish my t680 2017 have all those switches, there's like 5 oh them missing
My company T680 has like 8 missing lol
What's OVERFILL mean ?
Fast Idle Sw ? Power Take-Off Sw ?

The lights for the trailer correct? Cuz I’m looking for the switch right now and it isn’t there how it is in this video
I could look at her everyday
what year?
How do I cut on my refrigerator on my kenworth T680
In my 2017 Kenworth t680 there’s just a button in the sleep I flip on and off and it turns refrigerater on and off Idk if yours is same
I think it’s that bottle with snowflake switch. Turn it on and it will turn on fridge
Where is the jake brake switch located??
if auto trans its on the gear shift opposit of the turn signal
Where trailer brake handle used to be
She’s pretty
Didn't talk about controls in sleeper cab.
Can anyone tell me how to turn on dark cab in a 2022 Kenworth t680
In settings use the selection wheel. It is towards the bottom of the menu.
Edit: may not be accurate for ' 22 but has been the samefor years.
Can anyone direct me on the radio system ? I would like to keep the radio on in front but off near sleeper area .
There's a switch by the bed
Felix Cabrera yes , there’s many but none of the switches allow turns it off near sleeper while it’s on upfront .
Zboegt thank you !
High beam?
Everything is overcomplicated, not just this truck
Guess you don't like planes either?
Is the reason that the rocker switches use symbols instead of words because you think that drivers cannot read English?
George Travers lol same with road signs
Well they cant
Why write text that would be hard to see at a glance versus a simple pictograph that you can memorize?
No engine break help
Like EVERYTHING but the trailer break . Looks very unhandy they should do what international did one of the few things international got right
I will stick with the Classic Interiors of my 16 pre 1990 T600's in Pristine Condition.
I have the 2014 Kenworth t680 that doesn’t come with a trailer brake. Who the hell makes a tractor with no trailer brake?!!!
Well that's how it's been ordered. Same for my Pete. Like my company, yours has some intellectually deficient bureaucrats who never drove in their life spec'ing your equipment.
manual trailer brake its optional.
@@sunlightpremierinc.6152 Not when your jacknifing down hill. Or have your trailer pushing you on ice. Spike brakes return control back to the driver

that snowflake switch is for your fridge ,if you have one. the curled arrow is for dash settings and "return" button.
That on guard device on the dash was enough to know i will never drive this truck.
Truck is a Cadillac but not for idiots like u!
@@johnrogan9420 I can actually drive a truck not like the steering wheel holders your looking for.
Kenworth may fewred
Where the hell is the headlight switch ?😂

Where's the switch where's the switch to thank drivers for lane change
That’s what I’m looking for
I don’t like this t680s AC. It’s too off and on digital. Cuts off when it wants. To mechanical ⚙️.
Most other features I like though.
Thanks.
