    My grandpa would like these because he always talks about how big engine power boats cause big waves and disrupt the calm lake waters and ruin the peaceful serene scenery.

    Well, that's pretty cool. What happens if there's uneven weight distribution & the boat tips over. Also, a suggestion: contact the producers of the Bond movies to be in their next movie. Thanks for posting.

    • @licencetoswill

      the boat is self levelling, you can walk around. Nice idea on the bond movie!

      @@licencetoswill , Thanks for the information. It'd be helpful to read the specifics about weight distribution & the recommended number of people that can be safely handled on the ship. I'm sure the engineers ran all the numbers. It's been a long time & I thought there was some Bond movie that had a similar ship (gas propelled & not in mass production). The movies have had all sorts of tricky gadgets. If they did use the ship, it'd be a marketing coup. v

    Per Candela's website, "With a most efficient speed of 22 knots and a range of up to 57 nautical miles, the C-8 combines endurance with performance."
    I go much further than that in a day on a cruising sailboat.

    i stockholm ström/saltsjön mellan statsgårskajen och fjäderholmarna, kan det vara ganska grov sjö på grund av all trafik. hur fungerar det? Och visst kan man säkert säga att den klarar sjö upp till 1,3 m eller dylikt men kan ni visa i video hur båten reagerar i när det är obekvämt?

    The old battery (from BMW) had 44kWh and 50+ NM range. The new battery (from Polestar) has 69kWh with 57NM range. The new battery has 57% more capacity, but the range is only slightly longer. How does this work out? Is the new battery pack made of heavier (and cheaper) cells?

    • @licencetoswill
      @licencetoswill Год назад +1

      I'm going to guess that they've reduced the usuable capacity of the pack to increase longevity and reliability, now that they have the extra margin.

      you get much lower friction and thus longer range, plus no waves from the boat so you can go faster without risk of tipping smaller boats

    Are you making these videos for investors? I mean, you have the tech or you are developing but maybe you feel like things aren't happening fast enough and perhaps that's why you think it's OK to speed up footage? What you did at 0:12 is a no go, really... Also, the cut on the "high wave" video where you go from white caps to lift off in a sheltered bay was a no go...
    Stick with what you have instead of this overselling. It's unbefitting and gives off the vibe that your company is more interested in looking blingey to clueless investors. Which may be needed but is slightly unsettling in terms of the long term health of the endeavour.
