Brant Brown, 1998, is the one I will always remember. The Cubs were tied with the Mets for the wild card with three games remaining. The Cubs were up 7-5, but the Brewers had the bases loaded with two outs and Geoff Jenkins coming to the plate. Jenkins hit a fairly long flyball to left field where Brant Brown was camped under it. Somehow, he managed to drop it, which allowed the Brewers to win on a walk-off as all three runners scored. Luckily for the Cubs, they were able to win a one-game playoff against the Giants for the only wild card slot.
Castillo might have still been able to make the out at home, but I guess he was too psychologically rattled from having dropped the ball. I'd have just given up and thrown the cutoff too if I were him.
Announcer near the end: "When was the last time you saw that?" Me: Oh, about ten seconds ago with the one before that. No faulting the ones with the sun in their eyes, you're practically blind at that point.
I like how the commenters think if they changed their technique they would catch every single ball ever hit to them. As if using two hand ensures 100 fielding percentage.
do hidden ball tricks or best around the base man slide, in fact, you can come to my senior games and watch me do those slides. (and not miss those catches) :)
Most of those errors were caused by the fielders not doing the basic fundamentals. Showboat basket catches and not communicating with your fellow fielders. The fundamentals of the game don't change because you are making big league money.
David Stephenson No, actually. Day games, the sun plays a huge factor in seeing a fly ball. The wind can also play tricks on where the ball will land. I don't see any of these fielders trying to "showboat", they are genuienly having trouble catching the ball (maybe a bad route) or they lost their footing, maybe the ball bounces out of their glove (pros make mistakes, you know).
A lot of these balls they still had to run and track down. It's more hilarious when they are as routine as they get, and they still can't make the play
Seeing the soxs player drop that ball in the 9th inning with 2 outs i can tell they lost that game without even watching because thats what its like to be a chicago sports excluding the blackhawks lol
To their defense, at least half of these were due to the sun. Anyone who has played baseball knows that a very high fly ball with a very bright sun makes it nearly impossible.
Lots of comments on here about catching technique but how about remembering those other things we learned as kids - like calling the ball. Why are pros still colliding? 2:37. "You got to be kidding me. You have GOT to be kidding me!!"
Slayer Mack not defending beckham as it looks like he was going for it anyways, but it looks like his feet got tangled on the mound and he collided with him, Im sure beckham had a play on it
markwest1987 agreed, it was ugly... THATS WHY WE GOT RID OF HIM! (the Braves, Imma die hard Braves fan, and have hated Upton ever since we got rid of Justin.)
+JAKE AWESOMENESS-MINECRAFT/GAMING amen brother! I'm an Atlanta native and season ticket holder. I didn't like Justin but I HATE BJ. Wouldn't throw water on him if he was on fire. Glad he's out of Atlanta
Most of these comments are probably by people who have never watched a real full game of pro baseball, pop up errors rarely happen but when put into a montage like this it looks like it is common so quit saying that these guys are trash considering they’ve made it further in their baseball career than you and I will ever go
Only the Rangers could have this happen multiple times in their favor and *still* be thrown out. Oh well, we have a World Series now so we can laugh about it I guess :p.
I dropped a fly ball in my kickball game today so I'm watching this to make myself feel better
Same
Same lol
I dropped a fly ball in my baseball game today so same
Same i dropped 3 which is crazy
Man them things are so hard to catch I don’t blame you 😂
I can see my old LL Coach yelling TWO HANDS
Jimmy Stradley my high school coach would be yelling fundamentals guys! Fundamentals.
Jimmy Stradley same
Two hands makes me nervous
Jimmy Stradley I catch it better with one hand but my coach keeps telling me two hands
BDG Blue dragon gaming right
0:11 that slide was smooth AF

I dropped a line drive in center and came here to make myself feel better
just happened to me
2:51 the commentator was so mad he thought he was the coach lol
This is why you should keep running with 2 outs lol
Oh my god, that last one is a killer
Castillo might have still been able to make the out at home, but I guess he was too psychologically rattled from having dropped the ball. I'd have just given up and thrown the cutoff too if I were him.
The one Polanco did against the Cubs is worse. Broke both his legs in the process.
Ever since the 1996 season the Yankees have been the scum of baseball.
2:51 he sounds angry😂
I love hawk harrelson
Embodied frustration of all Sox fans
2:49 “u got to be kidding me U GOT TO BE KIDDING ME”😂
That cracked me up😂😂
"You are killing me smalls" to all of them

Rezzkyy uh he isnt wrong lmao
Pooped up, Castillo...., dropped the ball! He dropped the ball! Here comes Teixeira, and the Yankees win! Oh my goodness, he dropped the ball!

2:25: This has to be the most blatant drop
The Whitesox one is my favorite
Tats The A's Fan you've got to be kidding me.....you've got to be KIDDING ME
Nick3852 of course so is every home town announcer.
Hawk Harrleson is insufferable
Announcer near the end: "When was the last time you saw that?" Me: Oh, about ten seconds ago with the one before that. No faulting the ones with the sun in their eyes, you're practically blind at that point.
7:17 I don't know why but this one seems the funniest 😂
Maybe because of how quickly he gets down to get it lol
The batter realized he dropped it so took a couple fast steps to first haha
"LONG FLY BALL, DEEP TO RIGHT. *NO: HE DROPS IT!* I CAN'T BELIEVE IT." -The Announcer, _MLBPA Sports Talk Baseball_ (1992)
dropped a ball today watching this to feel better
Needs the Cards v Braves Wild Card game...with the Infield Fly dropped ball in the outfield.
0:24 one of the the best outfields drops the ball wow
I like how the commenters think if they changed their technique they would catch every single ball ever hit to them. As if using two hand ensures 100 fielding percentage.
Joe Sonner But you also cant deny you have a secure way of catching because some of the balls popped back out the glove
Joe Sonner u know how bad 100 fielding percentage is right
Using two hands makes catching harder for me because my throwing hand always knocks the ball out of my glove when I try it
then u suck
do hidden ball tricks or best around the base man slide, in fact, you can come to my senior games and watch me do those slides. (and not miss those catches) :)
I always sit here watching these like “man, I could’ve caught that” lol
This guy deserves more subs man!
2:45 everyone could feel Hawks frustration
Last one is from June 2009 what a great night to be a yankee fan that was
The white Sox announcer is me when I don't catch a pop fly.
Outfielders worst nightmare

My kid missed a fly at his little league tournament, this made him feel better ♡
I dropped a fly ball today so I came here to make myself feel better
A lot of left fielders making errors
ill always remember luis castio dropped ball, my dad waking me up and asking how to catch a fly ball when i was 8, then he said TWO HANDS!!!
A lot of these balls they still had to run and track down. It's more hilarious when they are as routine as they get, and they still can't make the play
Something you don't see everyday: trout dropping a fly ball
last one was by far, the best.
That last one hurts.
Aaand he makes the ca- *_DROPPED THE BALL!!_*
What about the World Series pop up that the Indians dropped
It wasn't dropped. No one touched it
Oswaldo and Orlando Arcia: proof that bigger isn't always better
Didn't know Arcia dropped so many balls.
Do hidden ball tricks for your next vid
Nobody:
Poofesure's wii sports Baseball team:
Every MLB team was involved in this video except the Diamondbacks, Brewers, and Mariners
For the last one I wonder how awkward it was in the locker room.
you missed gregory polanco dropping the ball in extras
Red Sox hit a lot of those
"JUST USE TWO HANDS"
Oh, you mean like Lowrie at 3:50?
As a centerfielder, these are painful to watch
Too many "casual" attempts to catch the ball out there.
My sb coach “CALL IT CALL IT USE TWO HANDS OMG”
2:51 when mom says there aren’t any more hot pockets in the freezer
TWO HANDS!!
Seeing the soxs player drop that ball in the 9th inning with 2 outs i can tell they lost that game without even watching because thats what its like to be a chicago sports excluding the blackhawks lol
Trout can drop a ball didn't know. Lol
i was at the game when tigers vs rays game
To their defense, at least half of these were due to the sun. Anyone who has played baseball knows that a very high fly ball with a very bright sun makes it nearly impossible.
Omn oswaldo Arica on this list three times smh
Jose Cruz Jr? 2003 NLDS vs Marlins?
I dropped 2 fly balls in slow pitch and this makes me feel better
Lots of comments on here about catching technique but how about remembering those other things we learned as kids - like calling the ball. Why are pros still colliding? 2:37.
"You got to be kidding me. You have GOT to be kidding me!!"
Slayer Mack not defending beckham as it looks like he was going for it anyways, but it looks like his feet got tangled on the mound and he collided with him, Im sure beckham had a play on it
Hard to blame the situations with the sun right in your eye.
2:47 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 at the announcer
2:47 to 2:52 had me weak
8:43 how do the Yankees always find a way to win a game
Astros are involved with a lot of these.
You missed the fly ball that Josh Hamilton blundered.
2:50 was so pissed😂😂😂😂😂
1:51 that made me laugh
ALWAYS run with 2 outs
Me in center field under a ball
Me 2 hours later
1:41 looking blind by sun
So that's why Oswaldo Arcia is out of the majors...
Arcia was on here about 5 times lol
Who would’ve thought arod and jeter would be in this video lol
I knew Jason was werthless
Suzuki has entered the chat..
Was at the Upton game in Toronto...boy that one was just ugly...
markwest1987 agreed, it was ugly... THATS WHY WE GOT RID OF HIM! (the Braves, Imma die hard Braves fan, and have hated Upton ever since we got rid of Justin.)
those were the bad ol' days
+markwest1987 it was a bad game for upton eh
Kye yeah guess so, well.... WE ALL HATE HIM!
+JAKE AWESOMENESS-MINECRAFT/GAMING amen brother! I'm an Atlanta native and season ticket holder. I didn't like Justin but I HATE BJ. Wouldn't throw water on him if he was on fire. Glad he's out of Atlanta
How do you miss those the sun blocking them to see but when u see the ball perfectly come on man
Is it a rule that we have to catch it with the glove?
This is why you use 2 hands
the announcer jinxed it at 2:25 and 4:13
Most of these comments are probably by people who have never watched a real full game of pro baseball, pop up errors rarely happen but when put into a montage like this it looks like it is common so quit saying that these guys are trash considering they’ve made it further in their baseball career than you and I will ever go
No polanco drop for Cubs walk off?
I dropped a ball in center so I came here to make me fell better
Second baseman's body language at 1:59.
Why didn't Jeter just pick it up? It looked like a video game when you press the wrong button.
This doesn't often happen actually.
Hi I like trains
They have a glove and they still can’t catch. Jesus 😮
Maybe some of these would have been better off without their gloves.
Only the Rangers could have this happen multiple times in their favor and *still* be thrown out. Oh well, we have a World Series now so we can laugh about it I guess :p.
Oswaldo Arcia is half the video lol
1:10 Did he even drop it though?
NO ANGELS!?!?!?
LOLMETS at its finest.
2:37 Try not to laugh
HE DROPPED THE BALL
HERE COMES TEIXEIRA
