Holy wow!! I've been breeding fish for years, and I've never had this good of info ever!! I think this will make my success rate on my betta breeding go way up! Your the man!
...3:30....those worms probablly won't effect the fish. But in a bare bottom tank the worms can hurt young fish. I can't believe it worked , without a sponge filter or even an air stone. Awsome job , not panicing. Thank for good video.
Part 1 of the Neon Tetras was an excellent vid. Part 2 looks just as good. I used to breed Neons a long time ago. Great refresher course! Thank you for sharing!
Mark, amazing yet again, NO-ONE is as good a teacher on these things as you, so thank you for your attention to detail. You should be running workshops or writing a book really! I'd be first in line to enrol if you did! :)
best advice ever i heard i hope my tiny tip will help some when changing water with fry i use a safe sponge this saves you worrying about losing any fry surprising how much water you can empty once again best advice listen to mark in my humble opinion the best of all on the web jjs
This is bloody fascinating!!! Been contemplating what fish to breed. guppies, plecos...etc. This is definitely top of the list now! Really interesting!! Thank you... Subscribed.
Hi Mark, Love your videos! They have been a real source of education for me and I know my fish appreciate it! So I am still learning and need some specific advice please for my new freshwater tank.... Question: I just bought a second hand 120 litre tank (26 gallons) from a guy who advertised on gumtree. How do I disinfect/sterilise everything before start cycling and I go out and get fish?! Included new stuff to be sterilised is: - The tank itself 120 Litres - fill the tank with salt water in high heat for a week? - Syphon - hot water only flush? - White Sand (dry with some black bits in it) - should I use this? - Filter - filter the salt water for the week? - Heater - Net - hot water with salt? - Silk plants - steep in hot water with salt? - Ornaments - steep in hot water with salt? Have i been listening? lol. Would appreciate some guidance. ;D
Mark I can see movement with a dim torch so i am hoping i managed the spawning. Hatched today. After how many days is it ok to put the light on ? sort of to be over the light sensitive stage? Thank as always keep it up
Super! I will absolutely have a go at this! But after the summer and vacations and so. But that's good, then I have time to decide wich tetra I want, and that will like the conditions I offer in my tank. I have a bit high temperature since I have some discus.
Incredible video are you using a Micro lens. It’s 3 o’clock in the morning and Michigan would like to thank you for the relaxing music made my night I’ll try this
Awesome videos. I'm so glad that I found your channel and can't wait to give breeding my fishes a go! I'm watching this video right now and wondering how the water gets enough oxygen for the parents and fry to breath without some surface agitation ?
If you're consistent with the titles of each edition of a series RUclips will be able to queue them up in sequence. Had to hunt each of these down. Great informative stuff. Subbed.
Amazing! I thought neons were impossible to breed at home. Your results are amazing. I'm going to look for that black substrate you added in the beggining here in Brazil. I hope I can find it as well. Otherwise, what would you recommend to use as a substrate for these guys? Is Ada Amazonia Soil good enough?
Nice video! Gonna follow this project. What is the name of the fish @ 00:20 ? The orange black silver ones. They look absolutely gorgeous! Hopefully i can get them here in Sweden. Is it Endlers Guppy maybe ?
cute little buggers .. might have to try it myself ..but i cant seem to tell if i have a male and female they all look the same to me lol bench tank is looking really good with them in it too :)
how can you tell the difference between male and female tetras to breed the, to begin with i have the black neon tetras are they the same breeding technique?
Great video and info! At around the 30 second mark there's a black and orange fish, is that a guppy of some sort? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help identify
I wish you a nice day. They have neon tetras for 10 days, there are a few of them in a separate tank. They are still afraid of light. How long do I have to limit the lighting ? Thank you in advance for your reply
Thank you very much for these videos. But I have a question: can I just put a group of 8 in one tank? Or just pairs? I only have a spare 60l tank. Or can I just place a jar/cup filled with moss in the big tank (enemies!?)?
@@MARKSAQUATICSI apologize for I misunderstood peat with soil. Peat lowers the pH, alright, I have bought it some from an acquarium store and I was going to use it (in a bag), so the right question.... the soil I see on your tank, full of microlife: is it peat or soil from your flowerpots? Sorry again for misunderstanding and thank you for your aquarium video masterworks.
Hi. No need to add anymore peat to the breeding tank. I normally remove and scrub the tank out after each batch of fry is old enough to go in to a main aquarium. 😀👍
I started a planted tank just prior to quarantine. With only 3 neons in a 3 gallon system, I was thrilled to see they bred so quickly. Have you tried removing the eggs from the tank and hatching as opposed to intentionally moving around the breeding pair? I want to clip the leaf where the eggs are and put it into an established 2 gallon that just has snails and plants. I'd kill the pump obviously. Any thoughts?
0:22 what is this plant that looks like a spider plant please? The water is so crystal clear I thought it was a spider plant infront of or behind the tank 😅
Hi.can they swimming good after finishing their yolk sack? I can breed them but now they are 3 days after finishing yolk sack but can't swimming Good and sleeping botton of aquarium. I feed them with anfsuria. Thank u so much
Hi. Neons tend to stay hidden at the bottom of the tank when they're young. Keep feeding infusoria. The bigger they get the more they will swim mid water.
If youre still doing these breeding vids I would absolutely LOVE to see a breeding guide for Rummynose tetra PLEASE! I'd like to fill my 75gal with about 40.
@@MARKSAQUATICS Brilliant thanks m8 cheers ill keep that in mind ur video are brilliant keep it up if any more questions ill keep u in mind ..... if that ok

Didn’t realise how easy it was, thanks again.
You sir are simply brilliant and an inspiration to all fish keepers! Thank you.
Give this guy a Planet Earth camera crew please, so cool to watch
I'm amazed. I now have something on my to do list. Cannot wait to give it a go.
after seeing this video along with part 1, im flipping all the couch cushions looking for spare change to throw a neon breeding tank together
I'm considering doing some neon tetra breeding. I think the vegetation would be the most costly portion for me.

The most helpful guide on tetra breeding I’ve seen so far. Thanks buddy!
just subscribed, you are now my go to channel for fish breeding. I find myself with a big living room with room for 3 or 4 more 55 gal tanks.
Thanks for watching and subscribing 😀👍
Only 3.477 views, how is this possible? Awesome footage and a clear explanation on how to breed neon’s! Keep up the good work Mark, much appreciated.
Beautiful. My favorites are Bleeding heart tetras, cardinals and neons like these!
Perfect soundtrack.

Looking great! Bigger than I expected, but I'm use to looking at Rainbow fish fry, extremely small. Hope you keep us up on their progress. Thanks!
Yes I'll do updates on them. Thanks for watching.👍😀
Thanks for the videos! You make the best breeding videos on youtube imo.

Doing great. Video soon.👍😀 Thanks for watching..
Great video!
Another great video Mark. You said your doing a small water change, what are you using on the end of the tube to stop sucking up the fry.?
I use an airline with an airstone on the end to do water changes. Thanks for watching.👍😀
Would it be safe to do this with sand?
What substrate is that?
hi man! nice tutorial! how long since eggs to free swimming? cheers ;)
Sir what soil r u use
Amazing! Thank you 🙏🏽
Btw, do you know any tricks to keeping the water in multiple betta jars to temperature?
Hello Mark can you give us the details on where you bought the peat these small tanks etc?
Any organic peat will work. Just make sure that there's no added fertiliser ok. And I got the small tanks from pets at home.
if you have to choose 3 most profitable fishs to breed from the ones you made videos about what you will choose ?
how can you tell the difference between male and female tetras to breed the, to begin with i have the black neon tetras are they the same breeding technique?
Great video and info!
At around the 30 second mark there's a black and orange fish, is that a guppy of some sort? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help identify
Do they need a heater to breed of place is warm enough and live food to start breeding?
Yes because they are tropical.
I wish you a nice day. They have neon tetras for 10 days, there are a few of them in a separate tank. They are still afraid of light. How long do I have to limit the lighting ? Thank you in advance for your reply
Hi. Just make sure they have lots of plant cover and add the light slowly. They will be fine.
about PH and temp when begin breed! how it?
I need to know the name of the track playing in the background! Does anyone know!?
Thank you very much for these videos. But I have a question: can I just put a group of 8 in one tank? Or just pairs? I only have a spare 60l tank.
Or can I just place a jar/cup filled with moss in the big tank (enemies!?)?
A jar won’t do at all. Do you want to breed your neon tetras?
😍😍😍
So you put the pit for increasing microlife in the tank for feeding the neon larvas?
The peat lowers the ph of the water for them to breed.
@@MARKSAQUATICSI apologize for I misunderstood peat with soil. Got to give this a try one day
Hi Mark, maybe I missed it but how long you can use the peat? Do you put new or additional peat into the aquarium after a while?

I heard that snails will eat eggs as they are scavengers. I am afraid that I don’t know anything about moving the eggs though.
They need bigger than 3 gallon. Putting the eggs in with snails is fine if you want the snaild to eat the eggs.
0:22 what is this plant that looks like a spider plant please? The water is so crystal clear I thought it was a spider plant infront of or behind the tank 😅
Hi its a java fern.
Sorry, I mean the other plant?
The one that has many runners with other smaller plants growing from?
The one that has the thinner leaves?
Oh that one! It's a Echinodorus Quadricostatus (commonly known as Dwarf Amazon Sword. Hope this helps.
Amazing! Thank you so much 🙌
Mark............Just Fantastic. .............Chris.........
Mark is there any good way to move mum an dad from tank to tank without stressing them out so much. They are terrified of the net.
Please could you breed Black neon tetra Mark?
Loving these vids...... could you do a breeding on haliquin roseboras ( not sure of the spelling lol)
I'm sure they're on my list. 👍😀
How can you differentiate the male and female
WHAT KIND OR WORMS ARE THOSE IN THE PEAT?
Is it true that the neon tetra fish eggs will not be exposed to light
They are light sensitive. As soon as they're finished spawning turn off the lights until they hatch ok.
Hi mark how long before you change them over to baby bribe shrimp .
Hi about 10 days 😊👍
How long did it take to grow the imphisoria
About 10 day. 😀👍
Awesome!
Thanks for watching.👍😀
Hi.can they swimming good after finishing their yolk sack? I can breed them but now they are 3 days after finishing yolk sack but can't swimming Good and sleeping botton of aquarium. I feed them with anfsuria. Thank u so much
Hi. Neons tend to stay hidden at the bottom of the tank when they're young. Keep feeding infusoria. The bigger they get the more they will swim mid water.
Can you do a DIY Tutorial on how to culture bloodworms at home?? Thanks..

Hi I've done rummys. Look in my playlists 😊👍
My man!!! Thank you, I'll check the list.
After how many days is it ok to put the light on ? sort of to be over the light sensitive stage?
Once they've hatched out you can put a dim light on.
👍👍👍👍
What's the music ? Thanks.
how old they can be breed?
Hiya can i ask what have u got on the botton of the tank and i take it u need to let the water settle and clear b4 u put the fish in ... thanks
Organic compost 😀👍
@@MARKSAQUATICS Brilliant thanks m8 cheers ill keep that in mind ur video are brilliant keep it up if any more questions ill keep u in mind ..... if that ok
Quick question: How do you tell the difference between a male and a female tetras? Thank you.
Males are narrow and streamlined where the females are more rounded with bigger belly.
@@MARKSAQUATICS thanks
Hi what filter system you have on your tanks
Filter will murder the fry.
I heard fry must be out of light 12 days or they die is it true?
Low light is fine. 😀👍
ty ur channel is so good i am sure you grow up fast as possible
Hassan Saleh thanks for watching Hassan.😀👍
