    You missed to mention that while there is a .99% interest but we lost 5-8k discount on existing inventory.
    This is called sleight of hand. They took away discount on existing inventory and transferred the same to financing.
    You should have mentioned about no more discount on existing inventory which is very crucial.
    Hope you take my feedback as constructive feedback.

      Fair, though he posed the question of will those discounts come back(?) so the inventory discounts may just be fomo that never return.
      I’m personally curious on current model Y discounts right after they announce refresh release dates. That’s what’s held me back since we saw them with the 3. Miss out on current fun maybe, but will they lower these models and have refresh sub 50k or keep these here and refresh is priced over

    • @nvasudeva
      @nvasudeva 4 месяца назад

      @@rossinverted my gut feeling is that Tesla is right now going to g through tremendous pressure to bring the prices down plus delay on juniper. With competition picking up it’s just a matter of time where they will bring the prices further down. I wish we had juniper right now.

      @@nvasudeva mhm, if we look at 3’s trends, international q4 release and q1 USA on Y makes sense. I want to know battery intel on CATL in case Juniper won’t get tax credits. I can get a y LR for $25k at the moment. The 8/8 meeting for model 2 and mixed trims should tell a lot. Tesla has prepped for rate cuts (staff/budget) better than most, so i think we’ll be in a good spot

    Depends on the person and whats important. The Juniper could definately have more upgrades than that seen in the Model 3 Highland. Cooled seats honestly out of the Model 3 is the biggest upgrade that we know of, and also the ride comfort of the Model Y has always been poor, this is somthing that many are wishing for, because the ball was dropped the first time around.

      But you can do upgrade in after market. Like in China, will cost you like 400-500 dollars. You can have a new full set napa seat come with 5800 RPM wind and perforated seat. You can even have an original moulded three-speed switch directly in the central water cup to control wind speed. So this is not a big deal.

    What sucks in my case, is that 3 months into the year, I didnt even consider a newer model coming out till next year. So when I decided to buy a model Y and book the car, next thing I know, I start seeing news about this juniper refresh and its really stressing me out. Because, while I understand the reasons to buy right now. I keep hearing "rumors" of what the new version will come with. And the biggest thing for me is the battery. All these rumors online are talking about the new version coming out with a different LFP battery and more range without the need to only charge it to 80% which is fking huge. So im so close to eating the cost of the order fee and canceling because what if its true? Im not leasing or financing the car, im buying it straight up. So this incentive to buy now for this deal doesnt really apply. Unless the tax credit will disapear when the new model comes out? Because if it does, I wouldnt regret buying the outated version. It all just depends on how much the new total will be once its released. And thats a gamble like you mentioned. Man.. This is stressing me out because ive been saving money for 4 years to not have to have a car payment and I feel like im about to get screwed. Because range is the most important thing for me. I travel for work. AHHHH...

    It is true that prices have gone both up and down on the Tesla models, but the overall trend is significantly down with only smaller, temporary price increases. I see no reason why that trend will not continue the next 3-5 years until EVs are down to same production prices as comparable ICE cars. Incentives are temporary, so EVs will have to compete on 1:1 terms in the near future.
    In theory EVs should be cheaper than ICE cars due to the lower complexity. The battery price is a high share of the total cost and battery prices are reducing quickly.

    • @bubbalo3388
      @bubbalo3388 4 месяца назад +1

      You talking about the 2 wheel or all wheel long range? The all wheel would be the compromise which will give you a little bit of both in respect to power. If you don't care about the upgraded brakes and lowered suspension, then get the all wheel. If you plan on upgrading the wheels on the all wheels then maybe consider the performance then because the cost to upgrade the wheels would get you close to the cost of the performance at that point.
      If you are considering the performance strictly for 0-60 time and top speed, then ask yourself this. Will you he street racing with it or ever going to need to go 100+? Or would you be taking it out on trips and every bit of mileage counts? Also know that realistically using public charging stations you will only be able to charge up to 80%. The range Tesla advertises is based on a full charge.
      For me personally, I want as much range as I can get because the range I'm these aren't exactly great compared to petrol vehicles. And I take road trips and also it gives me a little breathing room as a daily driver if I forget to plug it in or something. It's not like a petrol vehicle where I can quickly add a few gallons or fill it up quickly.
      Where I live and how I would use the Tesla I would need the all wheel drive for added safety and ability over the 2 wheel drive.

      @@JC-JC20 haha! Yeah wife gets last word. Well you can still get the look. You can buy after market spoilers that are peel and stick with no drilling. And you can buy after market rims. There are also wheel covers that you can buy that look almost identical to the black Tesla rims if you don't want to spend for rims.
      Wife wants an EV so may be looking at the Y all wheel drive model for her. Our cousin has the Y long range and wife's friend has the performance. They both love them for their own reasons.

    • @indiogoa
      @indiogoa 4 месяца назад

      We extensively test drove the long range and performance. Plenty of acceleration on the long range, and yes noticeable difference in the Performance. Nevertheless, if ride quality is priority, the long range with 19" wheels sealed the deal for us. The ride on the Performance is firmer and you feel the impact of the road.

    Insightful video, and reaffirmation for us. We jumped on it and didn't think twice for the reasons you mention and bought last week. Now having said this, I will say I am not impressed with Tesla's delivery and after sales, and the build quality of their vehicles. Delivery was a joke, they didn't prep the car properly and admitted it, they didn't inspect the car properly, scratched paint on a wiper blade arm, wobbly trunk and poor latching mechanism. Sure, their service department is on it, came out to replace the wiper arm, and schedule an appointment with their body shop to align the trunk. Our time is valuable, having to allocate it for repairs is not what we expected out of the gate. First impressions are everything, makes us wonder if this is just the tip of the iceberg in car reliability and performance, time will tell...

    • @MattDanadel
      @MattDanadel  4 месяца назад

      Congrats on your car! And yeah, after sales for Tesla is a really big weak point. Sales advisors don’t really care for you once your order is placed or is delivered. Delivery is another big weak point of Tesla. I understand Tesla wants to crank out as many cars as they can but it shouldn’t be at the expense of quality and service.

      Since the Juniper refresh will have the same market forces the current model Y, I expect prices to be similar.
      Interest rates is all about getting buyers is a sagging market. No reason to think that will change until 2026. Based on other Manufacture release cycles and current public plan of other manufactures.
      Unfortunately I was in a situation where I had to upgrade my 3 to a Y in feb. My wife could no longer get into the 3 due to hip arthritis. I wish I could have waited. The higher interest rate becasue I couldn't wait stings.

    Have you noticed that the AWD long range Model Y 2024 is a halirious 308 miles only. That should not be called long range. And since Tesla recommend charging up to only 80% (for battery longevity reasons) and do not use the last 5% (to avoid battery drainage), so there is only 75% usable range on a daily basis. So 75% of the stated 308 miles means only 231 miles usable range if we want to keep the battery life long. And the range will only get worst as the vehicle and battery age.
