Thanks for leaving the dents and rust. These were working engines, not spit shined museum pieces. This is one of the finest engines Briggs and Stratton ever made!
Nice! I think that is one of the slowest running Briggs engines. Thumbs up!
I got my model 23fb I got for free sitting in a barn to idle at 600rpm lol
Smooth running old ZZ. I have an A, and a B. Love to find a Z, or ZZ.
That was part of a Leland Electric U S Army generator set.
thanks Karl! nobody ever told me that before..I'll look into it
+J19E70R I recognized the Nelson muffler, the triple pulley, and the oil fill cap. we had one.
Lovely 👌
Nice engine!!
FossilHunter51 thanks man!
Noice
I have a 45. I cant wait to work on it and get it going.
Nice runner. Tell me, what is the difference between a Z and ZZ ? My oldest Briggs is a model B from 1945 and has a Kohler generator hooked to it.
That would be a nice fit in an old scooter frame!
yea..a BIG scooter at that. great idea though
Why is it clanking for? I know most old engines do but what is clanking?
rocker* tappets
My birth year.
Great video, what is the displacement on the ZZ?
bout 380cc if I remember right.
Good runner Bud! Old Military Briggs? 👍
Yes WWII
Pretty bad con rod bearing knock.
its not con rod, its the crankcase breather. it makes noises when it opens.
@@WildfoxFabrication that's definitely a knock\tick if anything a crank vent with make air but no noise...
@@conner5611 i have multiple engines with the same crankcase breather check valves and they make a pop or click every time the piston goes down
