As a 14 years old kid in 1960 I found a 1949 Cushman Highlander motor scooter in an old barn while mowing an elderly ladies yard. It had belonged to a her husband who died in 1949. He used it a few month to go to and from work. It was parked in the barn after his death and forgotten. We worked out a deal that I would mow her yard for 6 months free for the scooter. That would give me a bit of money to fix it up. I rode that scooter for nearly 4 years until I joined the Marine Corps in 1964. Now I'm almost 75, I'm still riding that Cushman Highlander although it's gone thru quiet a few changes....as have I. I still enjoy riding and tinkering with it. I have had Harleys, Triumphs, German and Italian as well as Japanese bikes but I kept the old Cushman.
Thanks for the response. It's all about sharing and so many on YT have helped me over the years and hopefully I can share what I have learned over the years.
Thanks for the input! I started to make the videos more in depth but it seemed like viewers only wanted quick gratification and just wanted to see the end result.

When using an old hand crank Do Not wrap your thumb around it. If it fires it will break your thumb.
