Chef, you were absolutely correct by saying this as Indiana pasta. In our family many times when we have leftover daal and don't want to make dokhli we use good quality penne pasta as a replacement and it tasted awesome 👍. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful and comforting recipe.

I'm a Gujarati but we make it a bit different. No garam masala like laung dal chini etc. Also no tomatoes instead for khattapan we use only imli ka pulp. Sweetness ke liye we too add gud. We also add grated fresh/dry coconut, sesame seeds along with steamed peanuts which makes it more wholesome. And we use only ginger green chilli paste for masala. Waise aapki koshish bohot achhi thi. Ek baar hamari style se bhi banakar dekhyega. You will love it. Thanks 😊🙏🏻

Wow it's my favorite recipe and I always make dal dhokali on saturday we add green split mungdal(chiltewali mu gdal )in it it tastes very good and also add fresh coconut and whole dry kharek in it also it looks tastier once sure make it and we add greated tomato when we ear add finely chopped banana in. It Try it once.

Looks delicious. I wonder if we could add boiled and mashed potato in the dough, roll it into a thin sheet and then briefly sauté it in ghee,It would be just like flat gnocchi. Can't wait to try it.

My Mother is preparing same Dal dhokli but she also add roasted dry coconut and jeera after crushing them roughly. It's taste yummy.
