We saw this movie on opening night in the theater. My posse was there, all of my Star Trek friends. Cathy, Bob, Yvonne, Lonnie, Lisa, Chaz, and Tracey. When the signatures started filling the screen, the whole theater applauded wildly and it didn't die down until after Shatner's autograph had faded away. What an unforgettable experience. Miss you guys. Hope some of you read this comment one day.
I remember at the Victorville Mall, this movie playing as an advertisement. I bought VHS, drove home and watching it. No in 2023 it still holds up. Thank you for the post.
Star Trek VI had no right being as good as it was... when do you ever find the SIXTH movie in a franchise being as good or better than its predecessors? The film industry is just absolute trash now. A good channel to follow about this is "The Critical Drinker" - he does film and industry criticism... funny but intelligent.
@@FranticAnimations Maybe if movies and TV weren't filled to the brim with cancel pig squealing these days, The Drinker _wouldn't have_ to cry about woke in his reviews.
To the original cast: Hold your heads high. The journey may be over for you, but the legacy you have left behind will not soon be forgotten.
Cliff Eidelman was only twenty-six when he composed the score for Star Trek VI.
He also did a rendition of the Alien trilogy
Such wonderful orchestral music from someone so freaking young back then!
RIP Christopher Plummer, who portrayed one of the greatest villains in the entire franchise.
He was also the Federation ambassador in Star Trek V
@@antoniosopranoe1392 you're thinking of David Warner, who was Gorkon.

I love how this suite is a wonderful bridge to Dennis McCarthy's Star Trek Generations suite. They both go soooo nicely together.
Never tire of listening to this. Cliff Eidelman is a real musical (and underrated) genius for composing the score of Star Trek VI. 🎼👏🏾❤👍🏾
This year marks the 31st anniversary of movie that capped off the TOS era of Star Trek. Truly a high point for the franchise.
Happy 30th Birthday! Star Trek VI!
Perfect. Everything came together so well for this film. Especially the music.

Thats such an emotional end to the track
I made a playlist of all my favorite star trek themes. This is one of the best. I have watched this movie like 15 times.
VI is my personal favorite.
Pshh- _only_ 15 times...?
Welcome spacex program since Shuttle program ended for space travel .
Cliff Eidelman really composed a fine score for this film, however he still doesn't come near Horner or Goldsmith.
Put this to a tom clancy movie and you have a powerful combo

It seems that while Star Trek continued to progress into the future, in real life we have gone the other way. Pretty sad.
@@daboys1215 You call garbage like Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, and Prodigy progression?
I'd call regression.
Critical Drinker is rubbish. Cries about woke in most of his reviews. No substance.

@@EVAUnit4A What cancel pig squealing? You mean just having a woman in a film? You guys are pathetic incels.
