- If your keyboard is sounding a bit tired, there's a whole new world of sound waiting for around $50. We're talking multi effects processors. Yes, they're made for guitar, but they can work even greater miracles with keyboards!
This is some quality content here. And now I get to add even more stuff I can't afford to my wishlist.
Ahhh well that's life in the biz, Doktor :) GF
😂🤣 too funny
I'd love to get one of those units for the yamaha psr 200 to make it sound different and just to mess with
I bought a used a Line 6 HD300 which is about the size of the Boss GT3. Has a lot more features than I need like amp sim and looper. Also can't really control the feedback on delay but for tap tempo delays, wahs, reverbs, and modulation it is great. I may get a one pedal does all like a Zoom MS70CDR next.
:) Gearfacts
A simple answer would be the Multistomp MS-70CDR by ZOOM.
Doesn't that one only do chorus, delay and reverb though?
This is like the 4th time ive watched this video. I just bought a psr-36 and i wouldn't have been able to decide on it or not from navigating through all the pss psr and other similar options if it werent for your videos. Im glad your channel is getting bigger and i hope you keep going. I like that you keep your videos in the same style and dont lose that underdog charm ha 👍 if you have other interests dont be scared to make another Playlist or channel, i would watch. And im picky.
Excellent demos, some great ideas for the old Casio MT68. Time to bring it back from the 80s!
Yeah it's a really fun one! Glad you like the channel :) #Gearfacts
Hi interesting idea. It might also be cool to process styles or rhythms through one of these units while playing a chord sequence. Just a silly suggestion. By the way, my favorite unit here is the Boss GT3. Nice flanger and portamento.
My praise of the Zoom 3030 was not well-demonstrated in this video, and the Zoom 707 which I implied wasn't all that good ended up sounding awesome :/ ...Oh well I guess these things can be pretty random. But yep I think the GT3 sounded the most professional and interesting.
and here I am... listening to your vid while playing my Ultranova through a Zoom MS70CDR
Sounds like a good combination :) GF
@@gearfacts it is indeed
Great review of this ! Now I want to get out my zoom pedal and hook it to one of my older keyboards . You get some great sounds out of that !!!
Absolutely. I had a ball making this video. I think ultimately I'd choose the Zoom 3030 for my guitar and the Vox Stamplab for my keyboard (just for those great bass sounds). And I add that I think the Boss GT3 performs better as a keyboard effects unit than it does as a guitar effects unit. IMHO of course...
Gearfacts I have the zoom g1on and will try that !
Do you recall how you set this up. I have a yamaha psr41 (same as 36). Have tried various ways of going through the zoom g1on to mixer but I get horrible feedback due to the high volume of the keyboard unit. Have tried going for rca out and front headphone as well. Can't crack the issue but it appears you have. Any tips?
I used headphone socket to the input on the effects pedals. It's true that you have to limit the volume on the keyboard to about 1/3. Also, I used a stereo to mono adapter (about $1 from an electronics store) but I'm not sure any of these things are likely to fix your specific problem.
The Zoom G1Xon, has the exra pedal included. It's not on the G1on :(
Yep, that's dead right :) #gearfacts
I'm getting the Zoom G3, it's got three screens, nine knobs and six effects, plus looks great! I've also seen the Zoom MS70 being a popular way to fatten up cheap synths and volcas.
Yep all true :) #gearfacts
awesome sauce this... Love your channel!!!!
Thanks BM :) /GF
Ahhh finally! The video I've been waiting for! Thank you.
Glad you liked it. Please share if you think others might like be interested :) GF
If you played each voice dry we might actually know what the effects doing
Yep I showed the dry tone at 0:33 and only used that tone. Just a nice simple sawtooth buzz. So pretty much ALL the work is being done by the effects pedals. Freakin' awesome :) Gearfacts
Gearfacts ok thanks,I didn’t know each effect was from just one single voice. Pretty impressive
Yeah it's crazy eh? To think that we didn't even look at changing the input sound at all. The possibilities are mind-bending!
These cheap Casio and Yamaha keyyboayrds have new life when combined with a basic digital multi fx
Absolutes.
Amazing and very informative video. I ve been searching and interested in maching my old synth with guitar pedals. Few days ago I bought the vox stomplab in a great price. Unfortunately it's the version without the pedal but I hope it will work almost the same as your video. I m also searching locally for the Zoom g1 on but I can't find it. Are there any other pedals with same effect on a simple synth? Great work, keep it up
Thanks so much!
such an awesome fantastic video!
Wow thanks Albert :) #gearfacts
2v-VOX I like!😎
Cool video, thanks 👍🏼
Thanks for watching! :)
@@gearfacts When you get a chance please check out some of the crazy practice stuff I do on my channel. I will be implementing multiple effects and pedals in a couple of weeks after I figure out how I would like to route them.
Zoom G1Xon, is the way to go!
(It also has a pedal)
True!
G1on also has a looper
True also!
I read somewhere that you could damage the input of your FX unit by plugging keyboards in, something to do with impedance???? Maybe I’m wrong
There is an outside chance of that, true, but your ears will give you plenty of warning before any damage occurs. If it sounds all distorted then you just turn the output volume down on your keyboard. I find about 1/3 volume on most keyboards sends a nice breezy signal into the effects processor.
Yamaha keyboard i455 how how to the pedal setting
Zoom 505 ii pedal works great!
Yep that one's a classic! GF
Hello, Gearfacts. Coming late to another one of your great videos.
I have a Behringer V-Amp. Do you think I could use for the same effect with my Casio CA-100? Tyvm!
Yes, absolutely. The V-amp has some good sounds.
@@gearfacts Thank you! Will try it out 🙂
I have a Nux MG300 andI want to use this as a looper for my Kawai X120. will it damage any of this two? Hope u response sir. Thanks.
Nope, there is no chance of any damage in that setup
Zoom $99.00 Great deal!
Yep totally :) #gearfacts
