The company I currently work for, operates old D40LF converted into double deckers. We mostly have ex Long Beach Transit, and LACMTA buses with Series 50s, and ex OCTA buses with Cummins ISC's. Even though the smaller ISC has better pick up, I love it when I am assigned a Series 50 powered bus. We have an ex Santa Monica bus on our lot, but it is used for parts.
Remixed Person v8114 right...i know that, thus why the fishbowl had windows, but this bus looked ugly with the windows imo, and trust me i know odd. take those mta orion v's with the right rear window...wtf where they thinking? picasso the bus layout?
Really liked those fast right turns. The series 50 on this bus sounds great.

engine sound like our old broward county 97 new flyer
Sounds like the MTS 1501' Series we used to have.
Yes it's true. NYC is retiring their d60hfs from 2003/2004. We have the series 50 EGR. They sound so much nicer than the previous series 50 engines
Those buses are awesome and cool I rode on all old buses when I was a younger and I love riding on those old buses
listen to that beautiful engine.
+Matthew Lyn i know, i never understood the rear window, but the motor was great!
Tyler Alvarado Since the AC is on the top of the bus, the Rear Window is possible

Tyler Alvarado Orion VI's not V's
whoopsi...still wierd design. probably no weirder than those dennis dart buses.
I love this!
Nice axle action.
That driver really knows how to haul major butt! 😮😮😮
Indianapolis bought about ten of them and one still reads UCLA on its destination sign.
Listen to that turbo
OOH SHIT!!
Y'all ever heard one of these go up a hill?
Did you buy this bus after it was retired?
Man I doubt this engine is governed
