      This is just superb, I have been researching "what are some good character traits?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Soyailey Simplex Sovereignty - (just google it ) ? It is a great one of a kind product for discovering how to become successful and happy without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my m8 got excellent success with it.

    I am so glad I watched this video. We just started reading this book in my college English class. I was very confused at first I wanted to see if anybody on RUclips has broken it down and you did it perfectly and I can actually understand it the way you describe and explain it, now I am actually looking forward to reading this book and everything and it relates to our lives and a lot of things. Also make me think about things going on in my life and now I have ideas on how I can make things better for me to be happier. Thank you.

    Man.... The part about having meaningful relationships really hit home for me. Looking back on my childhood everything was perfect. Being poor took nothing away from my happiness.
    My dad passed at 53 yrs old when I was 23. I didn't know if I could make it without him. Such a wonderful, kind, loving, giving person. I did, however, find a way to make it. We're supposed to outlive our parents after all right? Besides, he had a good life while he was here in the physical form. But 4 years ago my young brother (not by blood but by love) was murdered. He was the closest person to me outside of my children. We shared so many good times together. He could lift me up effortlessly no matter what was going on in life. His passing seemingly left me alone in the world.
    In my community growing up, "weakness" was always looked down upon. Even if someone you love passed away you stand up as a man and keep it pushing.... And I did that. Now I'm realizing that I really need to address this loss and where it's left me. I haven't been able to be happy since he was killed. It's kind of like all the other problems in my life were jabs and him passing was that power punch that puts you down for the count. I never got up. Well, physically I did, but not mentally.
    After watching your video I think I'm ready to do what I know needs to be done. I'm gonna find a therapist to help me work through this. I just made up my mind. This is gonna be so helpful in my life.
    Thank you for sharing!!

    This really hit home to me, I will be looking at "conditions that I can improve" by identifying where I need improvements and making some changes. I am really in control of that. That's such a positive and doable way to look at areas that aren't working in my life. If I put the focus in the right areas, it can be changed. Thank you for sharing this insight on happiness. Really makes sense. Stop settling is my new moto...I have been doing that for too long.

    This was great to watch to while getting ready for my day. The part that really struck me was how feeling out of control can reduce happiness. I'm in the middle of a big life transition, including feeling like I have to sacrifice aspects of my life that are important to me (I can't have it all?!?), which has definitely caused increased anxiety/decreased happiness lately. It's good to know that it is normal for feeling out of control to impact a person like this, I had been feeling like a mental midget because I am struggling to "roll with the punches"! Seems like a good book for me to read right now to help emphasize my priorities.

    • @clarkkegley
      @clarkkegley  8 лет назад

      Completely normal! Life is a series of choices (sometimes between good ones). It's hard saying "yes" to certain things, because that ultimately means saying "no" to others! Remember, it's gotta be a "hell yes" or it's a "no".

    We are on earth to co create, evolve and expand with our fellow human beings. (if you don't believe this then take a quick look at what we have created together, nothing has been piped in from another planet..) We are creative geniuses and we are meant above all else to be joyous. (Now we are not taught that too often are we?) We are eternal non physical beings in a physical body and we never get it done.. So it's the joy of the journey that we love! Connect to your inner being who is pure happiness...
    by the way I have just purchased this book for my son who has OCPD and requires a scientific explanation for happiness..

    Thank you for your insightful overviews about wonderful books. After obtaining what is desired, remember to enjoy it too. Enjoy the journey because this is when life is actually happening-not the past or future. Look for the good or bad in life and we will find it, therefore why not look for the good in people, circumstances, and ourselves? Decide to be happy being no one can do this for us. “Folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be” (A. Lincoln). We become what we think about. A massive catalyst for change and growth occurs the moment thoughts are in harmony with what we genuinely believe, propelling us toward committed action based upon newfound principles, experiences and enlightenment. Asking, “Why do I believe what I believe? Not just accepting something as true because my parents or whomever instilled it in me is a crucial step toward awareness and understanding. Live, love, laugh, forgive, grow.
