    Talking journaling today-my longest-standing self-improvement habit. Whether you're new to journaling or have been doing it for over a decade like me, I know at least one of these five techniques can help you out! Oh and here are the 11 journaling questions to change your life (free): www.clarkkegley.com/free-questions

    I personally like to use a 3 ring binder with loose leaf paper. It's super cheap. Plus, I can just take a few sheets with me on trips or to work or anywhere so I don't have to take the whole thing with me, but I always have access to it when I have an idea. The binder resides in my room and I add that day's contributions to it and replace the paper in my backpack. You can get colorful plastic subject dividers in the back to school/office section, especially in late August when they're clearing it out for super cheap. I hope people find these ideas useful!

      I am also a lover of looseleaf notebooks, journals, etc... I love the flexibility they offer. You're the only other person I "know" who also uses them.

    I started journaling in my teens. Now, in my 50's I still have a almost daily practice. I too, have a way of setting up my journal that includes a calendar and monthly planning in the front portion. I also number pages and make a index so I can easily find things later on. I was born to a heroin addicted mother, spent the first year of my life in a orphanage and then had a challenging, yet at times, beautiful adoptive family. I attribute my journaling practice to supporting me in becoming one of the few who make it through such adverse beginnings. I acknowledge that this habit is now my addiction... but its way better than any substance addiction! I have a beautiful, connected, loving and wise life. Thank you Clark for sharing your wisdom about journaling. Its a fabulous tool!

    What healed me tremendously from trauma with my ex is journaling. I’ve went to therapy, but I feel like most are not trained sufficiently and writing everything down was better than speaking to someone about it.

    I was getting overwhelmed with all the journals and sections, etc. It was more to "store" or have access to. I bought myself a tablet (digital). I created journals in a mote taking app. I went from carrying a thick planner and journal with me to carrying one digital tablet. I have access to my schedule, journals, notes, books, etc all at my finger tips when I want them. I am a paper & oen girl. This is as close as it gets. And I can change ink colors and copy/paste, etc. It's made my life and managing ADHD so much easier!

    I enjoy listening to this guy as he journals his thoughts through this journey called life. But I enjoy journaling in my iPad Pro and haven’t looked back since. The paper-like sheet protector made it all the better for me. Different strokes for different folks, but journaling is always therapeutic.

    Several years ago I was inspired to do morning pages after I read “The Artists Way” Shortly after I was hired for a position I was seeking. What was funny was a few years into that job my colleague told me she also was doing morning pages before she was hired. There goes synchronicity! Thanks for the great video!💜

    I don't know for how many years i have been journaling. But i may have at least five. I neve had any rule, or any obligation, but i just did it constantly because sometimes just writting about whatever i'm feeling or thinking gave me that good feeling. But i rarely went back to read it. I think i feared to reinforce the idea i keep comiting the same mistakes and maybe give up on something. But i found the way you structure you diary on sections really interesting. My last one is at the end, so i will try something like that.

    These videos on shadow work are phenomenal. I know most of what you are explaining but the extra details on the techniques will really help get more out of working with the shadow. I’ve been trying to help my brother with shadow work, but he looks at me like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Your videos reinforces what I’ve been trying to explain and show him. Thank you thank you for making these videos.

    My problem has always been that I want what I write to make sense and be readable. It’s probably an OCD thing. It’s always been what stops me from journaling or makes it hard to start. I don’t want to spoil the page with unconstructed content when really that’s the entire point. I’m trying right now to break free of that and just write, unformulated, unedited in my mind.. just let it flow. It’s hard. It goes against my grain.

    What’s the difference between journaling and keeping a diary?

    • @rhythmicelegance4670
      @rhythmicelegance4670 7 месяцев назад +1

      Good question. Both terms have been used interchangeably. Franz Kafka, Samuel Pepys, Anaïs Nin, Virginia Woolf all kept diaries and are named as such. A good collection is A Book of One’s Own: People And Their Diaries, by Thomas Mallon. I call mine a diary since I like the word much more and “journal” sounds like a newspaper and not so personal. Also, most of the time I write something about daily life, even if it’s just writing a line about an event I went to or activity I did or to log progress on something, aside from personal reflections, ideas, photos, lists, and whatever else I want to remember. There are several different definitions of diaries and journaling online as far as frequency of use and content, so call yours whatever you wish. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    The one and only holy eternal God created us in His image, according to His likeness. But we sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death and the verdict for our sins when the day comes for us to be judged by God is hell but God in his great love sent His only begotten Son, Jesus. fully God and fully man. To live a perfect life and died for our sins on the cross and after three days being buried rose from the dead. The death that you and I deserve, Jesus take so he can pay and atone for our sins and give us eternal life and we can be with Him. Just like how a person may be guilty but because someone paid for his fine he is free to go that's what Jesus did for us. What only we need to do is to repent of our sins (turning away from every sins everyday) and believe and put our trust and faith on Him and what He did for us that He already paid for our sins in the cross, not trusting in our good deeds or works for our salvation or to get to heaven but on what He did for us in the cross and and actively following Him every day and building a relationship with Him. "faith working through love"
