You mentioned millionaires have multiple streams of income. I’m not an expert on this but I assumed they focused on One Thing and once they saw success then moved on to focus on the next One Thing and kept repeating that until they had multiple streams of income.
You made a good point. Another possibility is that they honed in on building a really strong skill and used that skill in various businesses.
That’s what I was going to say.
In the book, there is a point about over time accumulation of riches, skill intelligence etc
When I got started in real estate investing in 2016 I just got out of the army and I was working as a corrections officer making $35k a year
I had shiny object syndrome. I was looking at single family houses, condos, apartments, and multiple cities and states
After reading "the one thing" I zeroed in and Laser focused on multi-family Apartment buildings in the Phoenix Metro. I was looking primarily for 4 to 10 unit properties that can provide at least $200 monthly cash flow after all expenses and a building that had value add potential meaning I could increase the income and lower the expenses
I currently have 45 multi-family units all in the Phoenix Arizona Metro and I'm currently under contract on another another four unit apartment building.
It really does help if you're decisive and say yes to one thing and then no to lots of others
So yes technically I have 45 streams of income but they're all zeroed in on apartments so it's not like I have completely total opposite side hustles that are distracting me where are some people will be buying and selling cars, or creating an e-commerce store or making RUclips videos

helpful thank you ^^
This may have already been covered in someone else's comment, so disregard if you already "got" it.
The one thing doesn't mean you can't do all the things that are important to you. They are saying specifically, build a habit to exclusively a part of your day on "one" thing. After that habit has been built, which takes an average of 66 days, then you can move to the next habit. If you already have a habit built to make podcasts, then keep making podcasts and keep making them better and better. If you want to add a habit to improve your health, then start building that habit exclusively until it is truly a habit. "Trying" to build 5 habits at the same time, splitting up your will power among them, will usually mean you end up with zero habits.
You'll know if it's a habit or not, because without thinking about it, you'll feel weird if you don't do that thing each day.
To your point about millionaires in the US having multiple streams of income. Yes, they have multiple, but it's doubtful they built each of them at the same time. They probably did one exclusively until it was generating income and growing by itself. By itself means, you don't spend any time on it. You could walk away for 6 months and come back with a larger business than when you left. This implies a lot, as in you have people and systems in place that are growing it for you.
Great summary, Rahul! That's the exact thing and 66 Days can be a long time but it is totally doable!
I have so many things in life I'm behind on, mostly bills, setting up systems my business and hiring people..
My question is I'm supposed to forget the rest and focus on one thing only?
Craig M No! The focusing question is ‘What is the ONE thing as such that everything else becomes easier or unnecessary?’ You find a good answer, blockout time for that task for when your willpower is strongest, you focus on that task. Then, everything else has the rest of the day. You will find in time that your one thing has leverage and makes other things easier or unnecessary.

Thank you so much
Dear Clark, you're amazing! You go into the details and how-comes, and this make all the difference. To know the general idea of the book is worthy, but sometimes useless. You provide much more than the average, explaining all the content of the book, and this is crucial for the self-development. Thanks from Brazil.
LOVE this channel! I have read almost all of your book reviews so they are great refreshers. Thank you for making these!
I love these Book Summaries! Thanks for making a PDF of the 11 questions. Will definitely do each one during my Thinking Time
Fantastic work Clark. Amazing contribution to all of us viewers who either don't get time or don't even come across to read great book. Short n crisp learnings , easy to understand n apply
Clark, I truly agree that Multitasking is a big lie, It serves at the pleasure of others who are at the receiving end but personally it is never getting focused on the one thing which is most important. I have been praised for my multitasking skills, but now not only quit multitasking but also learnt to say no as well. Thank you for this wonderful video of The One Thing, It is always on my Desk to remind me of my area of expertise.
Thanks for making this book summary! Amazing content, I subscribed 😊
Thanks so much for this video and your 11 Questions That May Change Your Life book! I'm so excited for the future.
I enjoyed your whole summary of the book, thank you! I really like the question, "What's the one thing you can do this week such that by doing it everything else would be easier or unnecessary?" I'm going to start asking myself that. I'm looking forward to your next video n this series! :)
THANKS FOR YOUR SUMMARY OF THE BOOKS @Clark Kegley they are highly beneficial to me personally.
Changing one thing to make my life better, really hit home with me. My job is so stressful and the people are abusive and I would love to quit and just focus on my home business. FOCUS thats my new plan.Thank you for opening my eyes!
thank you for all the effort and time you put on doing this, keep it up!
Truly amazing. Very well explained in short and crisp manner. Thanks a lot.

Great job on analyzing and summarizing Keller´s book, Clark! Thanks!
great summary. I read it this morning & feel like you deffo covered pretty much everything. Thank you
The concept that stands out to me about what you provided was making a success list and how to go about do that, very informative. I really enjoyed the tutorial and even took some notes that I can go back and refresh my thoughts. Thank you
Yeaaa!!! Great video. Keep doing your One Thing.
Thank you so much Clark. Your content is awesome
All 10 ideas are really important. Thanks for making the audiobook summary. It's your real contribution to the people and society after all. Keep going.
Awesome video! Thanks so much for this!
Thanks for your insights!
Great Video Clark
Thanks for the video man it was really helpful!
Been meaning to read this one for a while. Thanks for the lowdown Clark!!!
Its a real powerful book!
Thanks for doing this! Saved me a lot of time and I learned a lot!
Your videos motivate me first thing in the morning. I like the HELL YES or HELL NO concept. The One Thing Concept is a challenge for me so I like the idea of giving each a time frame. Thank you for the constant push!
Great video loved it very much 😆last point is my favourite
I thought this was really good. I've read the book and wanted a nice reminder without spending a bunch of time re-reading. Thank you.
Great video! I happened upon your spot and I'm glad I did - you clarified several areas that were fuzzy for me from the book. Can't wait to hear more of what you have to say.
Awesome video!!!!!🎉 Thanks Clark!
This book is one of the best. Its very simple and packed in with great information.
Best one thing this video: Hell YES! or no -- kinda encapsulates the prioritization and eliminates the morass of distractions. Great stuff. I'm in.
great video , thanks clark
Very very good, thanks
Thank you for sharing..good work
Hi Clark I just found you! Really appreciate this video and what you are doing!!! Keep it up my man!
Had read this book before. Ur video had helped me to recollect and make a note of it. Great work.
I am crazy busy all the time and jump from priority to priority at work and try the same with a Real Estate Investing Business I'm trying to start. It generally leads to little progress on most things. All of this was great and will have to pick up the book. But the top point for me is Live by Priority-Big Picture/Small focus. I need to revisit my goals list and make the progressive goal list to be able to set a trajectory (Someday, 5 year, etc.). And I need to keep that someplace I will visit it constantly, not in the notebook on the shelf from the class I took last year.
Great video, thanks!
Awesome work bro thank you.....
Good video. Your review is making me consider buying the book after hearing about it on a podcast. Heard it's great. Keep doing your thing.
thanks, GREAT VIDEO
Re-read for me :) thanks Clark.
Love it!
Well done! Thank-you.
‘15 tabs open’…
I wish I could be so focused
Fantastic job
please clark keep creating more book's review video 🙇♂️
Great video! One thing, prioritize!
Good job, thank you for your effort...
Thanks a lot man
Gary Keller has hustled a bunch of agents to read his books and join his company. But they’ll never be bigger than Gary Keller till Keller takes a step back or retires. He keeps dropping books and content to keep them believing though… 👀
Gratitude !
I really liked the concept of hell yes or no. I am the type of person that does something 110% of the way or not at all. So that tip really stood out for me! Can't wait for the next installment.
Thank you saved my money, pocket money ,my time and increased my knowledge
Thank you Sir
Thanks alot. Great video. I like the a juggling example. Focusing on one thing then on to the next one thing to focus on. Multitasking used to see helpful for me but now I see its not anymore. It can be better if I give it all my focus. I can give my best.
Thank you for this video I just Sub...I like how you elaborated
Concentrate on 1 thing. I come from a multitasking industry (cooking). Concentrating on 1 thing is a major challenge I'm working on. Great video, thank you
Great video!!!! Thank you for posting this quality content.
Gary Keller is good. This book is really good!
thanks!
Brother motivation we get from your video is just next level....... Much Love from India
I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 the best point I loved was learning to say no to others I have done this to someone close to me I felt relieved 😌 and I always got in problems saying yes every time to people even if they don't acknowledge my efforts
If you try and chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one
This statement taught us not to be greedy.
But on the other hand, don't forget this concept
DON’T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET
Sometimes we fall in love with our one business idea. But we are not really sure about that.
So we should create an alternative plan or plan B.
Sometimes we can do it one by one.
Sometimes we have to do it in the same time.
Just my two cents :)
Thanks Clark Danger , great védio
Great video Clark. In the book, for the Star Wars example you mentioned, the one thing is the movie because it sells merchandises. It's the other way around. First time viewer, can't wait to see your other videos!
we can do many things but learn to focus on one thing in each concept.
Yeah it is called code switching.
Very good video. Make more of these detailed 20min videos
Mastery!!
thank you for summarizing the book and it was informative. I was introduced one thing by my friend so I immediately search on RUclips and your title caught my eyes then started watching it., I don't know where to find your free book you mentioned at the end of this video?
Changing background from all mixed items ( even blurr ) to more pure picture back ground will easier to watch and focus
Great summary and the insight that comes along with it.
Focus the One Thing despite being distracted with all the shiny objects around us especially when your executive function is not 100%.
It takes a lot of practice when you’re creative.
Saying hell yes and NO to the rest.
I’ve surrounded myself with uber successful people and you’re right, they ALL have MSI.
Bottomline, be whatever you want to be and do more of that, so you can have the life you’re designed to have. 🧠❤️⚡️
Love this book. Great video, thanks for sharing.
What would this look like if it was easy?
- Pure Gold -
Love the book
Great video idea and content.
Feedback to be taken seriously: I would as soon as possible figure out a better audio route. The audio is it times a distraction because of its quality. I don’t know if it is a equipment problem or something you can go and edit with software but it however you see fit to Make it better I do that. Again thank you for the video thank you for your time and thank you for your energy taken to make this video I am grateful for it.
Most millionaires started out focused on one thing until that thing became successful then they focused on another until that is "good" then more and more. Once we master one thing, then the next etc....we then grow in how to take things from seed stage to tree stage thus growing to managing multiple streams of income.
How do you know when you've 'mastered' something? I own a business that I've become a slave to. But I also need to get back in to shape... And catch up on bills... So confused
Awesome
Nice content. .
Great video!
super great video!
Your content quality have increased greatly over the years.
You have a beautiful mind, heart and soul
i liked the shortening time idea...though I always think cool things happen in that extra time...maybe shorten task time and build in random conversation with a stranger time that can fluctuate
Great vid. Definitely next book on my list.
I really recommend buying it! its a really really good book.
Coincide? I just got it in the mail today! Lol
Mike B lol oh wow really ? that's great!! that book will change you if you study it over and over.
Good vids m8
Great speaking voice mate
Hi
Which part of the book is the question
What would this look like if it were easy?
Thanks!
Your one thing is creating Content
I did not get the impression to toss out all things in life and business but one thing. What I did take from this book was pick one thing for the day hour week and don't delute it. I am still working on the hour but with measured success. Just saying no and shunning interruptions that can wait. Has increased personal production. With this said I have hardly made a full day of sticking with one important thing at a time. Thanks for the reminder.
Good video
what people say about multi tasking is that the nessecity at the moment needs to be filled so if you are a receptionist your job is receiving calls but if you drop the coffee and the custodian is out then you will be doing the custodian job and cleaning the mess
there is something to be said for the scanner vs diver personality. I think there is definately great advice here but there are people that can be good at many things...if your goal is to be the best it's likely you will never the THE best but you can chose to be good at many....and I like the idea of doing many things but one at a time...and agreed, multitasking isnt great...
Can you provide a 10 best ideas of the book "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olsen? Please!
Bro, your affiliate link lands on "4 hour work week". I was expecting "The One thing" :D
wasn't 80/20 an Italian? Pareto's Principle? 10:15
That's the same advice Jack Palance gave Billy Crystal in 'City Slickers'. I think he asked him the secret to life or something like that and Jack Plance answered 'One thing'
I'm confused after reading this book, maybe someone can help me. Keller Williams realty has multiple streams of Revenue, not just one, buying, selling, and leasing homes as well as office space. Gary says choose "one thing" to focus on in MULTIPLE areas of your life. He goes back and forth between the "ONE THING" being as broad as One industry to focus on vs one specific niche within that industry. Some times the one thing is kind of broad and sometimes its super specific, it constantly changes throughout the book. Can someone help me to understand?
nice content - thanks! But FYI, Vilfredo Pareto (Pareto Principle) was Italian, not English :-)
