Synopsis :
Elisa is a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden, high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. I love that Guillermo is such a romantic of his craft. You can tell every film he creates is imbued with such passion. Especially the original concept ones
Believe it or not, none of this scene uses CGI. They used lighting to create the water ripple effects by shining the light through a smoke machine. It's not actually underwater.
True but I'm sure some of the fish or bubbles are CGI
@@Ankhyl no. They actually trained real fish to swim midair. And there was someone off screen using a bubble blower
why belive it or not!? it is a old technique that even superhero movies use nowadays still, like aquaman

This sequence gave me goosebumps, even without 3D glasses you feel like part of this water .. you are in this shape of water. :) amazing production value and background score

It's movies like this and Aquaman that make me want to live underwater.
My my my what a movie , irreplaceable thoughts after watching this movie, sir where ever you are , God bless you , what a romantic drama, please want some more doses of such sorts , felt heavy hearted after a long time.
Favorite movie from last year. Wonderfully complex.
The first time you watch this, you think the monster is the fishman, the second time you watch this, you think the monster is Strickland (the main villain). Genius
duck films why would you think that the fishman is the monster in the first place i have watched it once
he means before you watch the whole movie, without context the audience would think the fish humanoid is the monster based on the intro

and the name Michael Shannon shows up by the moment the guy says "monster"
the opening music find i beautiful , but the rest from the movie is spooky
This opening scene made think of The Nut Job movies as my dramatic experiences.

why is this narrated like the opening to arrested development
It made me think of Surly the purple squirrel and his best friend and girlfriend, Buddy the blue mute rat and Andie the red squirrel.
It made of Katherine Heigl during Unforgettable movie, before her second voice of Andie.
I thought of Buddy the blue mute rat and Surly's best friend.
What is wrong with you hypocrites? Complaining about Sonic 06 for promoting beastiality, but praising this movie for having ACTUAL beastiality!
