Ryuken was surprised by the fact that Masaki said a similar thing, before she ran off to save Isshin: "My future self will never forgive" "My future self will laugh at me". Their love story tied together by strong forces.
Yeah, and stuff like Soken Ishida's actions during this time. What *was* he up to? Was he stealing the Reishi Glove from the Wandereich? He seemed to be such a nice guy, who believed in cooperation between Soul Reapers and Quincies, so it's hard to believe he was up to villainy...
Masaki said that Ryuken is her cousin pretty much as a cover-up to make it more believable that she's staying at his house and stuff. Which honestly makes sense
When Rangiku and Toshiro were in ichigo's house, they noticed ichigo is their Isshin's son, but decided not to interfere or say anything as they're a family now and seeing Isshin safe and sound was more than enough for them. this was stated by kubo in his Klub Outside QnA session.
17:45 Of course it does, it's a direct parallel to Ichigo saving Rukia. In fact, even almost all the way down to the wording. Ichigo says, "Yo, I'm here to save you," and Isshin says, "Yo, I'm here to protect you." However, in Isshin's statement, the character for "protect" are the same used in Ichigo's name. :)
The way Isshin explained his feeling towards Masaki, it's so wholesome and made me cry, their love really amazing 🥺🥺 You catch the important point, whenever a sad moment in ichigo's life occurs, it rains...
Since all Quincies have Ywach's blood that means Ishida & Ichigo are related that way. Which kinda makes Ichigo fighting the Quincies just a _massive_ family feud. Also, Ryuken's surprise at 17:08 was due to how it was almost the exact same thing Masaki said when she ran out to save Isshin.
17:08 It was the exact thing Masaki said as you mentioned but also, it was his shame in not being as decisive as Isshin in the moment when he should have did more to stop Masaki in the hallway from leaving to Isshin's aid. Great segment!
Kinda like the avarge European (the ones that did a count on it) found that they are on average 2% related via hundreds of years of different families mixing, while the royalty that did so more often are between 5% to 9% with the greatest inbred families had over 15% inbred stuff from what I recall.
I hope people have already told Michael that there's already a trailer out for the second season, it's insane even for manga readers, so much new dialogue
About that scar on Izumi's leg, I have heard a theory in the fanbase about it, said theory being its a scar she got from a hollow attack but she got it healed before it ended up like how Masaki's did. If she was an Echt-Quincy before, due to the hollow wound she isn't anymore
So the hollow inside ichigo learned getsuga tenso from issin shiba 😀😀...later the white hollow taught ichigo the first time they met if you can remember
While all Quincy's stemm from the Quincy king, they are most likely so far down the bloodline that they don't really qualify as related, rather the mentioned cousin part was due to them trying to make it appear that she is cousin that the family adopted rather than some stranger they found at a relative's home.
YES Michael you finally have reacted to this episode 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 This episode is just beautiful because us bleach fans have been waiting for truth about masaki origins and isshins as well as ryukens and to see it come all into play really hits different and yes technically Masaki would've never died but because of her having a tainted hollow Spirital pressure she no longer is a full quincy and Yhwach kills and absorbs all the impure quincies P.s Urahara carried everyone in their lives, truly goated
BTW in the previous episode, Isshin wasn't even using his full power (not to mention Bankai). Reemeber that when Shinigami goes to the Human world, their powers get limited. In order to use full power, they need to activate something called "Gentei Kaijo" (we see this in the Arrancar arc). Since Isshin didn't inform the soul society of this investigation, Gentei Kaijo wasn't activated. That means Isshin was fighting with only a 5th of his real power. That guy Isshin is a monster! We just didn't get to see him in action. Sadly.
Isshin and Masaki's backstory was pure torture man. Its a different kind of pain when you see the beginning of a story that has already ended all to soon....
Absolutely loved this episode. Especially excited for your reaction to the episode 13. Can't get enough of Isshin and Masaki's relationship That entire "Masaki was like sun" section was beautiful ☀️
I'm late. 😩 but I loved this reaction. 😁 I think they ended this season at a perfect spot. Masaki and Isshin are adorable and it makes my heart heavy knowing just how much they loved each other. ❤ okay...I'm off to the next video...🏃♀️
Masaki and Ryuken were cousins yes. I don't know where that qualifies them on the 1st 2nd, 3rd etc cousin stages. But through the wiki, i know that Ishida and Ichigo and his Sisters are 2nd cousins. And yes, Ryuken marrying Masaki would have been weird but IRL, royal families were known to do such stunts to keep their bloodline pure. So its not entirely unbelievable.
We don't know much about Izumi, I am not sure if that leg injury was even in the manga. The importance of it is that it seems she can't use Quincy techniques anymore (or is afraid to), and that's why she didn't go after Ryuken when he flew away carrying Masaki. My personal guess is that Izumi used "Letzt Stil" (the ability Uryu used against Mayuri) in a battle, lost her powers and got that injury. The Ashwalen happened on the day Masaki died so that's not what caused it.
Somebody in comments saying Masaki and Ryuken are cousins by blood, sombody saying they are not. If not - there is nothing to say. If yes - then Ichigo and Uryu are second cousins. Basically it means Ichigo's grandma/grandpa (Masaki's mom/dad) were sister/brother to Izumi (Ishida's grandma). Then Masaki/Ryuken - cousins. Their childs - second sousins. As simple as that. As well as Yuzu and Karin also are second cousins to Ishida. BTW wiki confirms that. Believe it or not - it's all up to you. Despite it means not so much for the story.
The slash from Aizen to Isshin was targeted to be a mortal wound to maximize blood loss. From the flashback, we got hints that the amplification of Isshin's power requires his blood as a catalyst. That's why he bled his own hand to damage White severely and sever his arm. Isshin couldn't sense who slashed him because the 3 antagonists were wearing Urahara's own reiatsu shielding cloak. Adding insult to Urahara's banishment from SS as a framed incident. (An explanation they also cut from the anime). In the Fake Karakura arc, Isshin also remarked that at one point, he refrained from using his bankai as it would take too much toll on his injured body.
@Michael Angelo Engesu means in japanise (bloody moon) Zangetsu means (sharp moon) aizen chikai kokasugetsu means (flawer drop on a miroir reflected by the moon in the surface of the water) aizen shikai ave a other sinification but i d'ont remember
2:37 about the whole Toshiro and Rangiku not talking about Isshin to Ichigo was kinda semi-answered. They knew that Isshin was there but decided to let the him have his peace and not disturb him. (They could also feel troubled by the fact that they couldn’t do anything to aid Isshin)
She's saying Ryu is her cousin just so she can keep up appearances... => She's supposed to put up an act since Quincys are not supposed to make themselves known.
Ryu was in shock not because he said yes but he was shocked by ishin saying the same thing masaki said and them having the same way of thinking and seeing things
it makes sense on why isshin killed grand fisher bro i always thought that ichigo was the who killed the hollow but its always isshin so he can take revenge! mann the foreshadowing is crazyyy
Oh and by the way, SHAME ON ALL OF YOU for lying to Michael about the connection. SHAME on you! She's his cousin, she's basically Neji from a Branch Family, and I'm SO glad the anime corrects all of you in the first minute.
Izumi most likely got hurt by a hollow attack (resembling orihime’s injury from the beginning of the show) and has trauma about it cuz it seemed like she hesitated from leaving the house when ryuken left with masaki but as far as I’m aware it wasn’t explained in the manga
It took me a bit to realize that quote that Isshin says about how his future self would regret saving the person who saved him, reminds me that Ichigo said the exact same thing when he was going to save Rukia. or at least something close to it.
17:14 ryu was shoked because he realized it sound almost the same when masaki told him on ep 11 "I know my future self will never forgive me" 17:25 hear me out
all bleach fan pls vote for bleach in IMDB because some mfs are rate booming at bleach 😭😭😭😭😭 they dont bleach want to be in top (Give your honest ratings) and if you can pls vote
I don’t think ishida going to really betray them, I think he’s pulling a gin, being a double agent. Think about it he knows his mother died because of yhwach when he read his father book he had in his office.
she can even defeat it even with Hollow in her blood. Hollow is being dormant in mAsaki body at the time. it just Yhwach decide to do Aushwhalen at that time, taking her power overall
I think her leg was just an explanation for why she doesn't go chasing after him; Kubo needed a reason, so "She had a bad leg" is an easy answer. Maybe a Hollow bit it; maybe Yama burned it; maybe she barely tore free of Mayuri's clutching hand. Who knows? I don't think anyone but Kubo.
Well there's a pretty simple explanation about rangiku and Hitsugaya not recognizing ichigo. They never saw him. It's pretty much explained in this episode. When he gave up his shinigami powers he was a normal human as far as anybody was concerned. No spiritual pressure and no ability to see spirits. Which in turn didn't give them the ability to sense him. Besides that sure they've been in his house but they never in the canon story ever actually saw Isshin directly. Plus he changed his name to Kurosaki. Add all that together and there you go
24:36 "That was Oldman Zangetsu not Ywach right? Cause the voice actor is the same which is sooo weird" Lol you were 1 step close to enlightenment at that point but you did not make the connection haha
Idk why you dudes keep arguing about whether they're related or not. Argue with kubo not us 😂 they're distant relatives and we're going by what's stated in the manga and the anime. You can't say she only said cousin to avoid supcision lol Besides all Quincys have Ywach blood flowing through them. They're all directly or indirectly related anyway so arguing it is just apple's to oranges.

WOW I never even thought about Issin saving Masaki, compared to Ichigo saving Rukia. But yes you are on point as the scene does look nearly identical
Ryuken was surprised by the fact that Masaki said a similar thing, before she ran off to save Isshin: "My future self will never forgive" "My future self will laugh at me". Their love story tied together by strong forces.
At that point he knew he had lost her 😆

Aunt Izumi's leg is still a mystery (was never revealed in the manga). Kubo likes to leave stuff like that he may reveal in the future

Yeah and Rukia stops the rain for Ichigo

If she was an Echt-Quincy before, due to the hollow wound she isn't anymore
Masaki's reaction is not because of a simple hollow attack, White did a "Hollowfication Transfer"
I think there some truth to that theory cause didn't orihime get a scare from her brother saving her from getting hit by a truck.
So the hollow inside ichigo learned getsuga tenso from issin shiba 😀😀...later the white hollow taught ichigo the first time they met if you can remember

Absolutely love this backstory

Ichigo father is really amazing character in Bleach. Very nice storyline on this episode. 😎
Ok, I think this episode and 13 pushed me to watch Bleach episode numero uno
Masaki was just covering by saying they are cousins they aren’t really cousins and if anything they don’t mean cousins by blood.

Bleach master piece ♥️👌🥰💪👊👍🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
22:42 Ryuken mom was a pure blooded Quincy so she wasn't affected by Yhwach. It only takes the powers of impure quincies
Since Masaki is Quincy and Ryuken is Quincy
So even if their last name doesn't match, they definetely are related (long related)
Masaki and Ryuken were cousins yes. I don't know where that qualifies them on the 1st 2nd, 3rd etc cousin stages.

7:05 Michael being too adorable 🤣😭💝
I always go back to the scene in one of the older episodes. It was either Isshin or Ichigo saying Masaki was like the sun and they revolve around her.
It was isshin that said it like at the beginning of the series. Or when they went to visit her grave
@@darknesswave100 yea I think it was the cemetery arc with Isshin

Looking forward to seeing the reaction to the next episode
Sorry not sure what happend to leg of Ryuken's mother either? I mean I saw it in manga too I don't think we got an explanation thier either

Michael, I did a Google search and noticed that Zangetsu looks kinda like a younger Yhwach but with a goatee instead of that weird a$$ mustache.
Tante have the legs burning bcs of the war quincy vs shinigami (yamamoto)
Was nice backstory recap again they cut off some comdey scences but the the story was told well enough
It will continue in July of 2023, the same month as the Jutsu Kaiten.
Jujutsu Kaisen?
Such a tragic death for Masaki...
Pretty sure they’re cousins. The reason why ryu talked about marriage is just to keep the quincy bloodline pure like an arranged marriage.
They're not. She was telling her classmates that to avoid suspicion and keep the whole Quincy thing on the down low.
They are all related like we are supposedly related to Adam and eve but yea
If you think you can see orihime is so much similar to masaki
