Cried my eyes out when Byakuya told Rukia he sensed her spiritual pressure coming from Soul King Palace. Then again when he said “that was a magnificent bankai” dawg I was a kid when he did not respect her like that. This is huge coming from him.
Shows just how much of an influence ichigo has had on the entirety of soul society. Byakuya has changed completely from before. He said any enemy of ichigos was his enemy in the lost agent arc and he complimented rukia twice saying she'd gotten strong and that she has a magnificent bankai

Senjumaru’s scenes have sadly been removed from the royal palace sections.
She’s the one that had made Ichigo, Renji, Rukia, and Byakuya’s new outfits. She was also the one who created the captains haori that the Gotei 13 wear.
it serves to little in the story to be honest..
She's a cool designed character but her being just a tailor isn't really worthy of a screen time..
it would only eat up few seconds or minute just to see her working in her sewing machine...
but with this cut, we get a really smooth episode..
but yeah, for someone who loves her design then i can understand why it feel sucks that she didn't have much screentime

The fact that Nodt is the same voice behind Kirito still shocks me, it’s so different……then I saw it’s Inosuke, too. Guy’s got some range.
Byakuya just causally showing off that he only has released his shikai and it’s Rukia who finishes him off with her bankai, which beautiful yet terrifying, is poetry.

Well just so you guys know Ufotable was also involved in animating this episode and damn do they leave there mark on it ,hands down the most beautiful episode of this cour😍
To be fair, it was ONE animator who works for Ufotable that they hired to assist in this episode so they had to credit the studio. It’s not known which scene he did yet, but everything in this episode was just so beautifully executed in every category. Shout out to everyone who worked on it
No they did not. One animator was. Probably a freelance one. Why do people think Ufotable is the only anime studio that could do scens like this ?

Rukia is definitely deserved to be a captain now. And it was a so touching moment when Byakuya gave her a big compliment for her big improvement. Plus Hakka no togame is gorgeous yet powerful.
Both Rukia's and Byakya's zanpakou have an ephemeral beauty to them, and they both symbolize death in different ways. They are perfect examples of japanese culture and this entire episode is like a living poem.
Also keep in mind that she can do absolute zero even in shika, it's just limited to what she touches, so her zanpaktou is definitively one of the most powerful at this point.

I love how Rukia didn't just get bullshit powerups too, like yea she's much stronger but it all clearly has weaknesses so she can grow even more.
This episode was the best of part 2 so far, Gotta put respect on As Nodt for giving us two amazing fights, plus hearing him talk through my ears as he began to speak was so unsettling, definitely my favourite Sternritter so far.
Awwwwww shiiiiittttee if next episode is what I think it is!!! Michael is gonna pass out from the excitement.

Okay bro WOW! This is probably one of the best TYBW episodes to come out....
So well executed but it really did a good job symbolising the ironic fate of As nodt shrift and fear in general. Byakuya is back like a badass with his shikai being stronger than his bankai back then which is absolutely crazy. Rukia's bankai thoughhhhh looks absolutely beautiful, no wonder her brother is proud by saying it's perilous yet so delicate.
Small correction about what Ichibei said. It didnt take ichigo 3 hours to complete his training. He meant that he was still training 3 hours ago. So ichigo was training that whole time and then when the 2nd invasion started he was still training. So Ichibei didnt tell him so he could complete it. Cause he knew if he found out about the 2nd invasion ichigo would try and leave. Oh and a small thing was cut with the conversation with Ichigo and Urahara. Urahara actually smiled when ichigo told them to hold out till he got there
Michael, it's not that Ichigo got done with the Royal Palace training in 3 hours, it's that, at the time of the Quincy invasion beginning, three hours before he departed, he was still in training, most likely still in the Irazusando corridor. It's not very clear how much time passed between the Invasions, most likely less than a week, but Rukia, Renji and Byakuya healed from the Springs, ate, got their swords repaired, trained and got dressed by Senjumaru all first and Ichigo is now the last one joining them because his training was a little more special.
I really like that episode 6 of TYBW part 1 has Yamamoto's "Hottest and Badass" Bankai then in episode 6 of TYBW part 2 has Rukia's "Coldest and Gorgeous" Bankai. Also, Press F for As Nodt. His voice actor did a really good job to scare you.
omg as a bleach fan im so happy to see as nodt get niced by the anime team as he is easily one of the coolest stern ritters
I'd like to point out that Rukia didn't USE her Bankai, she merely activated it, and that was enough to kill As Nodt. Imagine what will happen if she ever masters it. Also, be ready to repeat the "I thought last week's episode was the peak, but I was wrong." line after each upcoming episode from now on, that's all I'll say.

@@TheDBLANCHARD I don't know what's so hard to understand about my comment, but I'll explain.
Everything we saw Rukia doing with her Bankai was just it's activation, the icy explosion is part of the activation, she didn't fight in that form, didn't use any technique or even swing her sword once (that's what I meant by "she didn't use it").
She activating the Bankai (calling out it's name) was what ended the fight. Imagine if in Soul Society arc, Ichigo activating his Bankai the first time would have killed Byakuya, that would have been a badass feat.
I just pointed out that that's what happened here. I'm not saying Rukia is some "top 5 strongest" or "sHe caN BeAT GOku". She had to deactivate her Bankai immediately after, because of how much she can't control it yet.
All I said is that once she masters it (and maybe even develops some new techniques with it) she'll be pretty strong.
Hakka no Togame means "White Haze Punishment." It looks so beautiful. So much nicer than the manga. And I was so happy that they kept the Byakuya line about Hakka no Togame being beautiful. It's the nicest thing he's ever said to Rukia.
Bleach really got the Adaptation it deserves.... Rukia's Bankai is truly beautiful
I like that VAs who often play protagonist characters like Inoske and Tanjiro play fearsome and powerful enemies in Bleach.

That sounded like Hanae Natsuki (Tanjiro's VA) at the end "poem". The way Byakuya interacted with Rukia in this episode, was just incredibly heartwarming.

@toshiro5637 Some leaks said that the final episode is 1 hour long. Not like the first cour, where 2 episodes were aired together.
Considering that the Yhwach's origin story wasn't shown in this episode means it's most likely moved to the last episode during the fight. And Kubo said the fight itself was extended so they will need one hour.

I love the concept behind the true bankai, it's literally becoming one with the sword, my boy Aizen was right, shinigamis beyond their peak trascend the concept of Soul Cutter. Renji and Ichigo merge with their weapon and Rukia looks like doing a Sode no shirayuki (her material form) cosplay.
Next week is going to be equally or even more insane than this week.

The tipping scales is just a preview of what Haschwalth's B can do. It's the third time he has emphasized it. First time it was with Askin. Second time it was with Shunsui.
Defeat becomes victory. Success becomes failure. Survival becomes tragic death. Fortune becomes misfortune.
Also, Rukia's bankai appearance resembles Sodenoshirayuki's zanpaktou spirit. Implying that their souls have merged.
Now that's what I'm talking about they did her Bankai justice just like the Manga but even better wow her Bankai really is the most beautiful Bankai ever
