    Thank you for your videos! With the Line in Module it would be possible to sample for example from vinyl, right?

      My pleasure, yes you can sample vinyl with it!

    Got a OP1 a few weeks ago, but I looking to get either one of these for their sequencing / smaller form factor and you posted this video on the exact day!
    Does the PO33 have a something like the step sequencer on the OPZ to help randomize patterns?

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад +1

      Hey! The PO-33 doesn't have any randomize options...only a few punch-in effects, with which you can spice things up. I think the OP-1 can do a lot of things the PO-33 does, but the OP-Z has a lot more sequencing options. Nevertheless in terms of sampling the PO-33 is really good for a portable device.

      @@SONWU thank you so much!
      Sorry one more question, slightly off topic...
      On the OPZ can you record in 'real time' as in insert notes that are not exactly on the 16 step grid? Im kinda set on an OPZ but this is prob the only thing holding me back hehe

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад +1

      @@HachiJPN No worries! YES! You can live record notes off the grid...you can also enter them in the step sequence and then adjust the microtiming using the +&- buttons!

    how long sample can be recorded in op-z?

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад

      a single sample can only be up to 12 seconds, but you could use multiple tracks using a 12 second sample each.

      @@SONWU but you can sample from vinyl or phone as in po-33?

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад

      @@mmohinn you can sample from your phone via USB no problem, but the OP-Z doesn't have a line-in...only a mic input (TRRS) so you have to check your levels.

    Hi! Can the PO-33 loop short samples to resemble a synth? Also, can you record different notes into the step sequencer by pitching the sample on a per step basis?

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад +1

      Hi David, thanks for stopping by!
      1. No, sadly the PO-33 can't loop.
      2. Yes, you can record different pitches on a per step basis.

      @@SONWU I'm tempted to get either the PO-33 or the PO-35 as my first and only PO. Honestly the 35 looks a lot more fun and unique where the 33 is just a sampler, but the 35 apparently has a mediocre 1 note polyphony aside from the drum kit which has one more. The 33 has 4 note polyphony right?
      Can you resample a chord in either of these? I.e. playing 3 notes simultaneously, resample and then play that as one single sample? Sort of like a mini sp-404 kind of workflow. 😊

    • @SONWU
      @SONWU  3 года назад

      @@sinewaymusic They are very different devices. the PO-35 is not really a sampler. More a vocoder/synth and yes only 1 voice + drum channel. The PO-33 is 4 voice, but also no resampling. It really depends on your needs, but overall I'd say the PO-33 is more fun.
