I'm pretty sure Goku is just excited by Potential, and not by immediate strength. Like he wants to know how high someone can go, even when talking about Krillin or the Saiyan's of a different universe. He likes seeing growth. Anytime you see his excitement build, it tends to be the Anticipation of more hidden strength.
definitly... also setting oob (nervious) equal in power to boo (befor dying) and raising his "power" by 2.5 just because he starts to fight seriously is just wrong... no training no chance of accumulating more power... if he'ld stated that oob (nervious) started at 1/4 of boo (befor dying) that would have been enough to make anyone excited.

End of Z Goku, is essentially like Beerus. Bored and looking for a prophesied fighter that will become his eternal rival. Once he gets the chance to fight UUb he toys around with him to gauge his power then offers to train him to help him get stronger for an ultimate showdown, Feels like the same example of the battle of gods movie. The strongest in the universe hears about a prophecy regarding a potential worthy rival, then challenges that rival to a fight but is somewhat disappointed that the new rival cant control their new obtained power but is at least happy enough to allow that rival to get stronger for a potential showdown. Even more interesting is that Goku offers UUb to be the next protector of Earth, oppose to Beerus who offers Goku to be the next destroyer.
People bring up goku threatening the universe with him and Beerus's punches but sleep on the fact that a weaker gt goku shook all of hell and later on could box with a guy who threatened the universe to be destroyed just by existing. Gt is underrated. Hell you could argue gt goku has a form of ultra instinct being able to fight while being blind and on top of that a ssjgod like ritual was even performed on him.

Goku tanked a reverse Spirit bomb from baby Vegeta which was stated to erase anyone with negative energy. In base at the end of the shadow dragon arc Goku tanked negative energy ball from omega shenron and turned it into a universal spirit bomb. That same negative energy ball is meant to simply erase anyone with pure negative energy of the universe. Supers best feats is shaking the world of void, threatening the universe by God Goku punching Beerus when omega did that just by existing. Gt Goku legit tore through a different plane of existence and alternate universe where he was supposed to be forced to play a game to get out but he simply Kamehamehas out of it in base. We haven't seen Goku in super do something like that yet unless you count gogeta blue who was fighting Broly in another dimension

Uub is the most tragic waste of potential/hype in DBZ history. I really thought he was gonna be HIM! Smh 😪🤦🏾♂️ He was wasted in GT too! Hopefully he gets the same type of boost/respect that Gohan got.
Toyataro respects uub. It shows from how he was able to give such a large ki boost to goku. And thats before training with goku. I think base teen or adult uub down the line will be utterally OP and he might also get kaioken or something as his own way to compete with transformations

End of Z Goku is the strongest version of Goku in all respects. Think of it like this. Throughout every series, Goku was always a student to another (Master Roshi, King Kai, Whis). He was always training and learning to achieve power... but that isn't what we see at the end of Z. We see "Master Goku". He has mastered all of his techniques, abilities, and forms all into his base power. He has nothing left to learn. And just as his masters trained him to unlock his potential, he now seeks to do the same. Just as Master Roshi wished to see Goku surpass him, Goku now wishes to train a young student to surpass himself.
I really wish Super didn't entirely take place before this. It would have been way better if Super was planned better, and actually took place after the end of Z.
I wouldn’t be surprised if base end of z goku > MUI goku from tournament of power. Maybe he learned to control ultra instinct in his base like whis was teaching him.
Technically they’re the same goku so obviously yeah he’d be stronger but if confirmed different versions, I’d say he’s as strong at max power as ssb goku in goku black arc
I think End of Z Base Goku is Goku who has mastered ultra instinct in his base form . Vegeta thinks nobody on earth should not be a rival to even goku so this implies that base end of z goku is more than likely above beast gohan...
I’d like to think that’s why he’s so chill in the End of Z arc. He’s essentially internalized UI and now it’s a part of him like Whis, so he’s more relaxed than always childishly excited than he is in Super.

Super tells us that End of Z Goku was pushing the realm of the angels with a mastery of Ultra Instinct, Vegeta was running around with the abilities of a God of Destruction and Uub is able to knock both of them around, assuming Goku still ends up stronger than Vegeta by the end. And then we need to remember that Bulma hadn't seen Goku in FIVE YEARS! How is that gonna fit, when she saw them damn near all of Super which is six years in total
If you modified all of the fillers and movies as well as Cannon to fit together how strong would the Z Fighters be at the beginning of the and at the the end of Z and and Battle of Gods and the rest of the Dragon Ball super and GT.
This just shows Uubs strength if we take into account gokus base strength in super exceeding ssj3 gotenks and Uub being able to keep up to an even stronger base is an impressive feat
This could be Goku's base power is insane or Uub's not able to be 100% Kid Buu Power. Once Uub taps into more of his power, he pushes Goku back. Making Goku's base power too high makes the multipliers broken. I would say Uub is probably using 5%, 10%, then 20% potential since he isn't trained. Goku wants to train him to match Evil Buu's Power.
Its not that oob was as strong as vegeta or that goku needed his kamehameha at all and he didnt get whooped or matched by oob in his base, he was just testing him out and getting excited by the potential, not the current power. Goku was just playing, trying a few different things to see if oob could hang in there.
Yeah basically at this point, End of Z Goku is literally Goku at his ULTIMATE peak which means anything that comes out in Super or other adventures in between just means that this Goku is someone who has gone through all of that
sorry for this dissertation, but i couldn't resist. if going by the writer's intention, i believe it's better to use the manga. the anime takes liberties that might confuse analysis. for example, uub is animated connecting several punches. this isn't drawn in the manga, where neither fighter is connects anything meaningful after uub becomes serious. goku's arm shudders after uub's first serious strike, and he's blown back with a kiai in the middle of their melee, implying uub's chi is near or possibly exceeds goku's. this isn't an obvious conclusion, however, because the manga fight doesn't have much illustration. both fighters block a hard blow to start, then high speed melee, then uub emits a kiai and goku is flying after regaining composure. that's it. so it's hard to confirm that Goku is ever using max power, which i appreciate you mentioning. also, i don't think the writer meant to convey that uub has the literal max chi level of kid buu as a 10 year old at the tournament. he's never trained before, so there's no way to know where he is in his progression. the z fighters have identified chis without the targets being at max power before, so i don't think Goku would need to feel a max chi comparable to kid buu to recognize him, but rather a combination of "feel" AND strength. even so, it's not obvious if base goku can contend with max power kid buu. after the frieza saga, the writer implies there is a limit to base strength progression by working out / training / zenkai alone. this is the very reason i believe goku and vegeta were focused on achieving a higher ss form during the android saga. training will still have some effect, but in seven years, goku and vegeta's ss2 chis were still compared to gohan's against cell (by vegeta himself and piccolo). in Z (unlike super. ugh.) i think the writer meant to imply a soft limit to each character's potential. I don't think Goku's base got so strong he equaled his ss3 power vs kid buu. if that was the case there'd be almost no narrative point to ss3 as a form to begin with. if strength progression worked that way, prep time would be more the central to each story, while character flaws / strengths would matter less (and the writer goes out of his way during the hyperbolic time chamber era of the android saga to show this isn't true). i'm sure goku's base is stronger after 10 years, but not kid buu strong. that's insane. who would he have been fighting to push him that far? besides, giving the characters loose (but unique) limits gives more meaning to their unique accomplishments at any given time, and creates a narrative distinction between the characters, bcuz it shows that trait wise, there are obstacles certain characters are better suited to overcome, regardless of how many push ups and squats they do for 10 years. i don't always enjoy how this theme plays out, but i think it's for the better more often than not. of course, this is all just my opinion. over everything else, i appreciate the conversation sparked by this video. excellent share
also i'd like to mention that the soft limit theory is implied during dr gero's initial conversation with goku before the saiyan fights 19. dr gero says he researched Goku up to his fight with vegeta, and that great leaps in power afterward would be unlikely bcuz his capabilities would be offset by his age (he is already in his prime years between the saiyan and namek sagas. vegeta mentions that saiyans retain their youth to fight longer near the end of the story, but this isn't the same as getting even stronger in their older age). further supplementing the soft limit theory is that goku does not disagree with this, but instead states that Gero failed to gather data on the super saiyan transformation, and will lose for this reason. i believe the writer wants us to assume the strength difference in this saga is due to the super saiyan form. for the contrary argument, there is little evidence that goku's base strength has dramatically jumped. this is supplemented during the Perfect Cell Arc when Vegeta re enters the time chamber. it's implied he spent 2 more years in the chamber. but Goku knew he nor Vegeta's base strength would increase by much. He even stated he'd get weaker in the time chamber unless he could uncover something new. the time chamber's environment is harsh for sure, but getting weaker from any training is rare in dragon ball. i don't think the writer would go as far as to say this if soft limits didn't exist. it doesn't follow that Goku could have such a dramatic power up such that base strength equals his past super saiyan 3 with ANY amount of time. if this was true, the z fighters wouldn't really need transformations would they? what do you think?
goku end of z is already the best before the existence of dbs the ssj3 was the ssj push to its maximum more in 10 years alone he says although he trained alone he must have mastered the ssj3 or even created another variant of the ssj
So basically if Goku’s power level was 1 start of GT SSJ3 Goku power level would be 112000000 cause SSJ3 is a 400 multiplier and base Goku is 700 times stronger than that by the start of GT. That’s wild

@@voicebross that because he didn't need it. Because King Yemma can easily choose which soul be reincarnated into another new mortal body, or he can send the soul to hell/heaven... and in this case, King Yemma maybe heard about Goku wishes, then chose to reincarnate kid buu soul into a human body.
Toyotaro doesn't plan to change the end of Z so yea Goku at the end of z will canonically solo DBS. The end of Z must be coming soon in DBS tbh... that's a bit ironic actually. And we already know how crazy Uub's potential is in DBS from the manga. Toyotaro might not change the end but it makes Uub that much stronger and gives him the screentime the fans want when they move past the end of Z.

As much as I understand the theory i just don't see vegeta not being able to go beyond 0.75 even after a 10 year skip. Based on your theory base vegeta with 10yr training is weaker than buu saga kid buu. It doesn't make sense. I'm not denying the power uub has because the theory really makes sense and given the panels from the Moro Arc further strengthen the point that the writers always wanted to place uub at that level. But vegeta shouldn't be lowballed that much lol. Remember, goku isn't always hungry for a strong power, he's hungry for a new opponent. So even an opponent as strong as his base is interesting to him because he has a new opponent other than vegeta.
If this is correct, Goku must have become about 400x stronger in 10 years which is the most ridiculous power creep in DBZ (at least in its priginal run).
God damn the anime dragged out the uub fight. In the manga it's a short battle where goku insults, uub reacts, 3 pages of fighting, then they make up and fly away into the horizon
It's smart on Akira toriyamas part intentional or not to not have goku use any forms or dialog that indicates his peak form is ssj3 or anything since he can do anything in super and not have it contradict anything
I don't think End of Z Base Goku is strong as his SS3 form during the Buu saga. Beerus declared Base Goku couldn't defeat Frieza (before training) which was 3 years after the Buu saga. Goku had 10 years since the Buu saga, so I doubt he will become hundreds of times stronger. I think Uub just couldn't tap into his full potential because he was a human kid and never went beyond his limits. Also, in other world, evil souls are purified from their evil nature before being reborn.
Beerus only knew saiyans from planet vegeta that can't suppress their ki, he thought goku was the same and that's why he thought the suppressed goku he was felling atm was his base full power and that's why beerus said he couldn't defeat frieza. Base goku in the buu saga alone scales above shin that can even one shot semi perfect cell, due shin being equal to cell saga MSSJ 1 goku.

I thought Goku getting 400x stronger in 10 years was ludicrous, but honestly, it really isn't. IF Goku got that much stronger, big if, he'd just have to get 1.82~ times stronger each year. That's the power of exponential growth, and it's not that insane given that we've seen him get several times stronger in shorter periods of time (Granted, with Zenkai Boosts + Intense training methods). I do disagree with a few things in the video though. Goku wouldn't get excited by Vegeta or any of his friends because he's known them for decades at this point, fighting/sparring with them for the hundredth time just wouldn't have the same appeal. So, he got excited because someone new showed up. Remember, nothing interesting has happened to EoZ Goku since Kid Buu in this continuity. I also don't think Uub or Base Goku are at Kid Buu's power, or even near it, I'd say they're far below it, but still quite a bit higher than Buu Saga Goku. Just because Uub is Buu's reincarnation doesn't mean he's as strong as him, by that logic he'd be as strong as Kid Buu when he was born. Nah, he's definitely a strong human, able to keep up with Goku, but Goku could be at ANY level to make that claim of being excited. And again he's only excited because it's someone new showing up after 10 years of sparring with the same people over and over. With their GT power levels, Goku just wanted to have an intense fight with Uub, regardless of the level. It doesn't matter how much stronger they got since EoZ at that point, but Goku certainly wasn't intending for Uub to challenge his current SSJ3 level. Goku's aware that his power would rise while training Uub, he knew that he'd (Uub) never match his own SSJ3 level if he continued to get stronger, as it would whilst training Uub. They get stronger, but not 200-400x stronger, that's just ridiculous

End of z Goku beats all of super easily cause he already has all of supers transformations cause end of z is after super meaning he already has all of the tranforms in super since super saiyan 4 is after super it means super saiyan 4 is much stronger than all of supers forms cause it’s after super and cause end of z Goku aka someone far stronger than all supers transformations is the one turning super saiyan 4
I dont think they are fighting at kid buu level yet uub barely knows how to use his power and goku is holding back for the most part but they are pretty close. Now imagine how strong is base Goku in GT after spending a good amount of years on the time chamber training with Uub

Does the Uub storyline kinda bother anyone else? Goku has Gohan and Goten as sons, and thinks Uub has more potential to be the guardians of earth wtf!? I wish Z ended with Goku being together with his family and training his sons to be the future protectors of earth but hey that’s just me
End of Z Goku wasn't really that powerful because if he was he wouldn't have been excited to fight oob because if it's power level just kept rising like everybody thinks it does then he would have just been a fly too him. Truth is he probably wasn't that much stronger than he was when he fought kid both him and Vegeta had both peeked in power this is even backed up in Dragon Ball super the fact that they are based forms actually had peaked back then and they could only get stronger by learning new transformations like the god forms they couldn't even get zenkai boost anymore. And it was the same thing originally with the end of Z Goku had peaked with Super Saiyan 3 and why kid Buu would have still been a good fight for him 10 years later. And the truth is even in super his base form isn't really that much stronger than when he fought Majin Buu this is why they're still so many people like even Krillin who can force Goku to go Super Saiyan because of his base form has peaked Goku and Vegeta have peaked as mortals The only way they can get stronger now is by learning new more powerful transformations and techniques

You know that base Goku isn't as powerful as Super Saiyan God Vegeta this is just Goku showing how so much better of a fighter he is rather than him being strong enough to fight Broly as both a bass and a Super Saiyan. When it comes to what they're doing now in the superhero saga that's because Broly isn't using most of his power he's probably hardly using any of it because he can't use it without getting yet. But I'm talking about as well the original plot to the original end of Z before super was back then Goku and Vegeta had peaked in power they haven't really gotten that much stronger in those 10 years which is why kid Buu is still a challenge to Goku.

Broly is fighting in his base form, Vegeta noted in the film that broly already studied his base power Broly needs to get angry in order to tap into his Ikari state, movie says he can't control it same with SSJ and FPSSJ, he can turn it on and off he simply snaps in the process Goku even whilst angry for the first time in ssj and before he mastered the form was still able to tap into it at will same with every grade 1 SSJ every Saiyan needs to get angry in order to tap into their transformations Vegeta is teaching broly how to do it because you guessed it he already knows how to. Goku and Vegeta themselves say that the Saiyans have infinite potential they can grow in power indefinitely they have no cap, From the Same Zamasu arc. UUB vs Goku is being retconned in super so I'll stick with Z for this one, there is no reason to assume UUB = Kid Buu if anything Uub is stronger, Kid buu is also not really on par with SSJ3 Goku since we never saw Goku all out in SSJ3 against Buu only time he was fresh against him was as an SSJ pushing away the spirit bomb.

Which is why the trio feels original, seriously GT was aired right after Z, hence the trio, there was virtually no gap. No one can capture Gokus behavior and it shows in Super. Anyways, DB, DBZ, and GT were together right after each other, they feel original and they are really a trio. Sadly, Super doesn't capture that essence, and it wasn't a part of the original 3 whether your feelings like it or not 😂

So I think End of Z is gonna be changed. It doesn't fit any more, and it's more a preamble for GT. GT I still consider a different timeline or universe, cause again it just doesn't fit. It fits for the End of Z, but it clashes with the current narratives. At this point its just as much cannon as Super Dragonball Hero's, which I'm almost sure I just misnamed, but the non-cannon that connects the different verses. In that I believe SS-Blue and SS-4 are seen at comparable levels, both are very powerful in their own right but still different types of power. And there's no way the characters aren't using their amazing grand DBS powers in GT if they had access to them, because the stakes were very high. So the only assumption is they never learned these new forms or techniques, because at some point after DBZ things didn't happen the same between the two universes. The point being I feel Oob may eventually come into play, but its going to be re-written to fit the new narrative if he's brought in, and in regular Toriyama fashion he will forget/ignore how it was done in The End of Z. But what do I know, thanks just my take and guess on it. Regardless great vid dude.
If the EoZ plot didn't purposefully degrade Gohan to his state in GT, EoZ Goku and Uub would be below him. Why did Toriyama, Toyotarou, Shūeisha and Toei hate Gohan so much? He never had a chance...
No, because Goku was meant to take a backseat in the story so that Gohan can drive the show. There never would have been two Goku in the story anyway. But Goku was more popular in the end so they just decided to kill off the competent Gohan to replace him with pacifist Gohan and nothing else. Look at Gohan in GT and Super compared to Future Gohan and Buu Saga Gohan. While its true that Future and Buu took a L respectively they still got a moment to shine but in the following installments? Zero in GT and Super only provides ass pull power ups for him.

First, it's not that Vegeta "wasn't on his radar because he was too weak" - putting aside that Super RADICALLY clarifies their powers by this point and basically eliminates ANY gap between the two once Utra ego showed up, and puts their BASE levels at MILLIONS of times kid buu level once god ki is in play - he and Vegeta ARE always going to be relatively close even in DBZ, enough that Goku would always be excited by it - it's more something you misunderstood: this was a bad guy getting a second chance, and Goku was thrilled about that - he LIVES for that - but it was ALSO meant t be the true end to Goku's JOURNEY back then. Over the course of DB and DBZ, Goku had taken on masters - first, his Grandfther, then, Roshi, then, King Kai - and he wore their symbols accordingly. LATER, Goku wore his OWN symbol, signifying he had become a master himself, of himself. 10 years LATER, Goku no longer wears that gi - which if you understand martial arts culture is a BIG THING. Gone is the symbol - even his OWN symbol. Instead, he has NO symbol - no character his chest or back, and now wears blue. This signifies that Goku has essentially RETIRED as a martial artist in the sense he is a student no more - he's now ready to be a SENSEI - a teacher. His EXCITEMENT is not over Uub's POWER - in fact, both he and Vegeta, if they wanted to, could EASILY kill Uub in their base forms (keep in mind hw much they exponentially grew in the 10 years BEFORE buu - the same growth would happen AFTER buu in those 10 years, so logically they'd be FAR beyond kid buu 10 years late, EVEN IN base form - remember, 10 years BEFORE buu was about the time Trunks came back in time and warned them of the androids that would arrive in 3 years - at that point, Vegeta wasn't even a super saiyan, Goku had only a couple years earlier had a power level of about 400, vs 150 million as SSJ on namek - and by the time of buu they had SSJ2, SSJ3, etc, and their BASE levels VASTLY surpassed Goku's initial SSJ1 transformation on namek - after ANOTHER 10 years of constant training AFTER buu, it is unQUESTIONABLE that Vegeta would be FAR beyond kid buu's level, OR uub's - so your logic makes no sense ). Back to my point: Goku is not excited over Uub's POWER. Vegeta would be a FAR more dangerous opponent 10 years AFER kid buu than kid buu himself. These guys get HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS of times stronger over he years, not 10% or 20%. GOKU is excited first because his request - that buu be reincarnated as a good person - was fulfilled. SECOND, this goes back to Goku's change in attire and lack of symbol - something westerners often don't even notice - Goku is a Grandpa now - he may HAVE another 20 years left before his saiyan body ages, but he's AWARE that he doesn't have forever - he's not immortal and has no desire to make the wish to BE immortal. Remember, back then in the 90s this WAS meant to be the end of Goku's life journey - the last time we'd see him. Goku's change in symbol and attire and even the color he wears signifies that he's come full circle and found inner peace - and rather than a DISCIPLE, Goku's NEXT life journey going forward is as a SENSEI, as I said - a TEACHER to the next generation. He knows who Uub is, he's excited by his POTENTIAL - remember, this guy is BORN with a power that 10 years earlier would have been a huge threat to Goku and the universe, and can become many many MANY times stronger than kid buu ever was given that's his STARTING level - and GOKU is excited to be his MASTER. He's excited about how much he can TEACH uub, not Uub's current power level (again, it's been 10 years, and they trained the whole time, logically - GOku and Vegeta would both EASILY kill kid buu by this point) - because Goku's SATISFIED in life. He's BEATEN the best - he and Vegeta stand way, way, WAY beyond ANYONE in he universe by THIS point in the timeline - he has nothing left to prove. THIS is Goku taking it very, VERY easy on Uub (at NO point should emitting a tiny fraction of his base level ki make you think he was even CLOSE to powering up to max for base - the dude took those hits, said thanks man, felt nice, and didn't have a SCRATCH on him - he was GLISTENING CLEAN - his SHIRT got a bit ripped but HE was about as impacted by that as you would be if I tossed a marshmallow casually at you - he wasn't overwhelmed -to him, it was like a hot shower to get the blood flowing - a nice, light, refreshing feeling - in DBZ, when a character is not even SCRATCHED after an assault like that, and is smiling, it means they're s far beyond you it's not even funny, and they can wipe you out in a heartbeat). As for being "blown back", that's not meaningful when Goku was in no way, shape or form actually fully powered up, or even close, even for base. That was just to show Uub reaching into his majin buu power well and pulling out more, but make no mistake - Goku and Vegeta could each pop his head off like a dandylion, base form, if they had a mind to (or didn't you notice? Vegeta wasn't even remotely worried about being surpassed - he casually observed). You are looking at this from a western lens. Try an eastern one.
Vegeta is not "too weak". Of course he's not weak. He was right up there with Goku. I'm referring to he wasn't the the number 1 to give Goku the match he desires.
I almost feel like this is wasting our time… I think “end of Z” was written with a completely different story in mind… they decided to pick up the story somewhere else than they thought they would. “End of Z” is gonna get retconned for sure so why spend time talking about this? 🥱

I'm pretty sure Goku is just excited by Potential, and not by immediate strength. Like he wants to know how high someone can go, even when talking about Krillin or the Saiyan's of a different universe. He likes seeing growth.

End of Z Goku, is essentially like Beerus. Bored and looking for a prophesied fighter that will become his eternal rival. Once he gets the chance to fight UUb he toys around with him to gauge his power then offers to train him to help him get stronger for an ultimate showdown,
Feels like the same example of the battle of gods movie. The strongest in the universe hears about a prophecy regarding a potential worthy rival, then challenges that rival to a fight but is somewhat disappointed that the new rival cant control their new obtained power but is at least happy enough to allow that rival to get stronger for a potential showdown.
Even more interesting is that Goku offers UUb to be the next protector of Earth, oppose to Beerus who offers Goku to be the next destroyer.

End of Z Goku is the strongest version of Goku in all respects.
Think of it like this. Throughout every series, Goku was always a student to another (Master Roshi, King Kai, Whis).
He was always training and learning to achieve power... but that isn't what we see at the end of Z.
We see "Master Goku". He has mastered all of his techniques, abilities, and forms all into his base power. He has nothing left to learn.
And just as his masters trained him to unlock his potential, he now seeks to do the same. Just as Master Roshi wished to see Goku surpass him, Goku now wishes to train a young student to surpass himself.
I really wish Super didn't entirely take place before this. It would have been way better if Super was planned better, and actually took place after the end of Z.

Once Uub taps into more of his power, he pushes Goku back. Making Goku's base power too high makes the multipliers broken.
I would say Uub is probably using 5%, 10%, then 20% potential since he isn't trained. Goku wants to train him to match Evil Buu's Power.
Its not that oob was as strong as vegeta or that goku needed his kamehameha at all and he didnt get whooped or matched by oob in his base, he was just testing him out and getting excited by the potential, not the current power. Goku was just playing, trying a few different things to see if oob could hang in there.

Yeah basically at this point, End of Z Goku is literally Goku at his ULTIMATE peak which means anything that comes out in Super or other adventures in between just means that this Goku is someone who has gone through all of that

sorry for this dissertation, but i couldn't resist. if going by the writer's intention, i believe it's better to use the manga. the anime takes liberties that might confuse analysis. for example, uub is animated connecting several punches. this isn't drawn in the manga, where neither fighter is connects anything meaningful after uub becomes serious. goku's arm shudders after uub's first serious strike, and he's blown back with a kiai in the middle of their melee, implying uub's chi is near or possibly exceeds goku's. this isn't an obvious conclusion, however, because the manga fight doesn't have much illustration. both fighters block a hard blow to start, then high speed melee, then uub emits a kiai and goku is flying after regaining composure. that's it. so it's hard to confirm that Goku is ever using max power, which i appreciate you mentioning.
also, i don't think the writer meant to convey that uub has the literal max chi level of kid buu as a 10 year old at the tournament. he's never trained before, so there's no way to know where he is in his progression. the z fighters have identified chis without the targets being at max power before, so i don't think Goku would need to feel a max chi comparable to kid buu to recognize him, but rather a combination of "feel" AND strength. even so, it's not obvious if base goku can contend with max power kid buu. after the frieza saga, the writer implies there is a limit to base strength progression by working out / training / zenkai alone. this is the very reason i believe goku and vegeta were focused on achieving a higher ss form during the android saga. training will still have some effect, but in seven years, goku and vegeta's ss2 chis were still compared to gohan's against cell (by vegeta himself and piccolo).
in Z (unlike super. ugh.) i think the writer meant to imply a soft limit to each character's potential. I don't think Goku's base got so strong he equaled his ss3 power vs kid buu. if that was the case there'd be almost no narrative point to ss3 as a form to begin with. if strength progression worked that way, prep time would be more the central to each story, while character flaws / strengths would matter less (and the writer goes out of his way during the hyperbolic time chamber era of the android saga to show this isn't true). i'm sure goku's base is stronger after 10 years, but not kid buu strong. that's insane. who would he have been fighting to push him that far?
besides, giving the characters loose (but unique) limits gives more meaning to their unique accomplishments at any given time, and creates a narrative distinction between the characters, bcuz it shows that trait wise, there are obstacles certain characters are better suited to overcome, regardless of how many push ups and squats they do for 10 years. i don't always enjoy how this theme plays out, but i think it's for the better more often than not. of course, this is all just my opinion. over everything else, i appreciate the conversation sparked by this video. excellent share
also i'd like to mention that the soft limit theory is implied during dr gero's initial conversation with goku before the saiyan fights 19. dr gero says he researched Goku up to his fight with vegeta, and that great leaps in power afterward would be unlikely bcuz his capabilities would be offset by his age (he is already in his prime years between the saiyan and namek sagas. vegeta mentions that saiyans retain their youth to fight longer near the end of the story, but this isn't the same as getting even stronger in their older age).
further supplementing the soft limit theory is that goku does not disagree with this, but instead states that Gero failed to gather data on the super saiyan transformation, and will lose for this reason. i believe the writer wants us to assume the strength difference in this saga is due to the super saiyan form. for the contrary argument, there is little evidence that goku's base strength has dramatically jumped.
this is supplemented during the Perfect Cell Arc when Vegeta re enters the time chamber. it's implied he spent 2 more years in the chamber. but Goku knew he nor Vegeta's base strength would increase by much. He even stated he'd get weaker in the time chamber unless he could uncover something new. the time chamber's environment is harsh for sure, but getting weaker from any training is rare in dragon ball. i don't think the writer would go as far as to say this if soft limits didn't exist. it doesn't follow that Goku could have such a dramatic power up such that base strength equals his past super saiyan 3 with ANY amount of time. if this was true, the z fighters wouldn't really need transformations would they? what do you think?

As much as I understand the theory i just don't see vegeta not being able to go beyond 0.75 even after a 10 year skip. Based on your theory base vegeta with 10yr training is weaker than buu saga kid buu. It doesn't make sense. I'm not denying the power uub has because the theory really makes sense and given the panels from the Moro Arc further strengthen the point that the writers always wanted to place uub at that level. But vegeta shouldn't be lowballed that much lol. Remember, goku isn't always hungry for a strong power, he's hungry for a new opponent. So even an opponent as strong as his base is interesting to him because he has a new opponent other than vegeta.

I don't think End of Z Base Goku is strong as his SS3 form during the Buu saga. Beerus declared Base Goku couldn't defeat Frieza (before training) which was 3 years after the Buu saga. Goku had 10 years since the Buu saga, so I doubt he will become hundreds of times stronger. I think Uub just couldn't tap into his full potential because he was a human kid and never went beyond his limits. Also, in other world, evil souls are purified from their evil nature before being reborn.
Beerus didn't know Goku can lower/raise his base power since that is advanced ki usage as shown in the Frieza Saga

I thought Goku getting 400x stronger in 10 years was ludicrous, but honestly, it really isn't. IF Goku got that much stronger, big if, he'd just have to get 1.82~ times stronger each year. That's the power of exponential growth, and it's not that insane given that we've seen him get several times stronger in shorter periods of time (Granted, with Zenkai Boosts + Intense training methods).
I do disagree with a few things in the video though. Goku wouldn't get excited by Vegeta or any of his friends because he's known them for decades at this point, fighting/sparring with them for the hundredth time just wouldn't have the same appeal. So, he got excited because someone new showed up. Remember, nothing interesting has happened to EoZ Goku since Kid Buu in this continuity.
I also don't think Uub or Base Goku are at Kid Buu's power, or even near it, I'd say they're far below it, but still quite a bit higher than Buu Saga Goku. Just because Uub is Buu's reincarnation doesn't mean he's as strong as him, by that logic he'd be as strong as Kid Buu when he was born. Nah, he's definitely a strong human, able to keep up with Goku, but Goku could be at ANY level to make that claim of being excited. And again he's only excited because it's someone new showing up after 10 years of sparring with the same people over and over.
With their GT power levels, Goku just wanted to have an intense fight with Uub, regardless of the level. It doesn't matter how much stronger they got since EoZ at that point, but Goku certainly wasn't intending for Uub to challenge his current SSJ3 level. Goku's aware that his power would rise while training Uub, he knew that he'd (Uub) never match his own SSJ3 level if he continued to get stronger, as it would whilst training Uub. They get stronger, but not 200-400x stronger, that's just ridiculous

End of Z Goku wasn't really that powerful because if he was he wouldn't have been excited to fight oob because if it's power level just kept rising like everybody thinks it does then he would have just been a fly too him. Truth is he probably wasn't that much stronger than he was when he fought kid both him and Vegeta had both peeked in power this is even backed up in Dragon Ball super the fact that they are based forms actually had peaked back then and they could only get stronger by learning new transformations like the god forms they couldn't even get zenkai boost anymore. And it was the same thing originally with the end of Z Goku had peaked with Super Saiyan 3 and why kid Buu would have still been a good fight for him 10 years later. And the truth is even in super his base form isn't really that much stronger than when he fought Majin Buu this is why they're still so many people like even Krillin who can force Goku to go Super Saiyan because of his base form has peaked Goku and Vegeta have peaked as mortals The only way they can get stronger now is by learning new more powerful transformations and techniques

You know that base Goku isn't as powerful as Super Saiyan God Vegeta this is just Goku showing how so much better of a fighter he is rather than him being strong enough to fight Broly as both a bass and a Super Saiyan. When it comes to what they're doing now in the superhero saga that's because Broly isn't using most of his power he's probably hardly using any of it because he can't use it without getting yet. But I'm talking about as well the original plot to the original end of Z before super was back then Goku and Vegeta had peaked in power they haven't really gotten that much stronger in those 10 years which is why kid Buu is still a challenge to Goku.

Broly is fighting in his base form, Vegeta noted in the film that broly already studied his base power Broly needs to get angry in order to tap into his Ikari state, movie says he can't control it same with SSJ and FPSSJ, he can turn it on and off he simply snaps in the process Goku even whilst angry for the first time in ssj and before he mastered the form was still able to tap into it at will same with every grade 1 SSJ every Saiyan needs to get angry in order to tap into their transformations Vegeta is teaching broly how to do it because you guessed it he already knows how to.
Goku and Vegeta themselves say that the Saiyans have infinite potential they can grow in power indefinitely they have no cap, From the Same Zamasu arc.
UUB vs Goku is being retconned in super so I'll stick with Z for this one, there is no reason to assume UUB = Kid Buu if anything Uub is stronger, Kid buu is also not really on par with SSJ3 Goku since we never saw Goku all out in SSJ3 against Buu only time he was fresh against him was as an SSJ pushing away the spirit bomb.

Anyways, DB, DBZ, and GT were together right after each other, they feel original and they are really a trio.
Sadly, Super doesn't capture that essence, and it wasn't a part of the original 3 whether your feelings like it or not 😂

So I think End of Z is gonna be changed. It doesn't fit any more, and it's more a preamble for GT. GT I still consider a different timeline or universe, cause again it just doesn't fit. It fits for the End of Z, but it clashes with the current narratives. At this point its just as much cannon as Super Dragonball Hero's, which I'm almost sure I just misnamed, but the non-cannon that connects the different verses. In that I believe SS-Blue and SS-4 are seen at comparable levels, both are very powerful in their own right but still different types of power. And there's no way the characters aren't using their amazing grand DBS powers in GT if they had access to them, because the stakes were very high. So the only assumption is they never learned these new forms or techniques, because at some point after DBZ things didn't happen the same between the two universes.
The point being I feel Oob may eventually come into play, but its going to be re-written to fit the new narrative if he's brought in, and in regular Toriyama fashion he will forget/ignore how it was done in The End of Z.

No, because Goku was meant to take a backseat in the story so that Gohan can drive the show. There never would have been two Goku in the story anyway.
But Goku was more popular in the end so they just decided to kill off the competent Gohan to replace him with pacifist Gohan and nothing else.
Look at Gohan in GT and Super compared to Future Gohan and Buu Saga Gohan. While its true that Future and Buu took a L respectively they still got a moment to shine but in the following installments? Zero in GT and Super only provides ass pull power ups for him.

First, it's not that Vegeta "wasn't on his radar because he was too weak" - putting aside that Super RADICALLY clarifies their powers by this point and basically eliminates ANY gap between the two once Utra ego showed up, and puts their BASE levels at MILLIONS of times kid buu level once god ki is in play - he and Vegeta ARE always going to be relatively close even in DBZ, enough that Goku would always be excited by it - it's more something you misunderstood: this was a bad guy getting a second chance, and Goku was thrilled about that - he LIVES for that - but it was ALSO meant t be the true end to Goku's JOURNEY back then. Over the course of DB and DBZ, Goku had taken on masters - first, his Grandfther, then, Roshi, then, King Kai - and he wore their symbols accordingly. LATER, Goku wore his OWN symbol, signifying he had become a master himself, of himself. 10 years LATER, Goku no longer wears that gi - which if you understand martial arts culture is a BIG THING. Gone is the symbol - even his OWN symbol. Instead, he has NO symbol - no character his chest or back, and now wears blue. This signifies that Goku has essentially RETIRED as a martial artist in the sense he is a student no more - he's now ready to be a SENSEI - a teacher. His EXCITEMENT is not over Uub's POWER - in fact, both he and Vegeta, if they wanted to, could EASILY kill Uub in their base forms (keep in mind hw much they exponentially grew in the 10 years BEFORE buu - the same growth would happen AFTER buu in those 10 years, so logically they'd be FAR beyond kid buu 10 years late, EVEN IN base form - remember, 10 years BEFORE buu was about the time Trunks came back in time and warned them of the androids that would arrive in 3 years - at that point, Vegeta wasn't even a super saiyan, Goku had only a couple years earlier had a power level of about 400, vs 150 million as SSJ on namek - and by the time of buu they had SSJ2, SSJ3, etc, and their BASE levels VASTLY surpassed Goku's initial SSJ1 transformation on namek - after ANOTHER 10 years of constant training AFTER buu, it is unQUESTIONABLE that Vegeta would be FAR beyond kid buu's level, OR uub's - so your logic makes no sense ).
Back to my point: Goku is not excited over Uub's POWER. Vegeta would be a FAR more dangerous opponent 10 years AFER kid buu than kid buu himself. These guys get HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS of times stronger over he years, not 10% or 20%. GOKU is excited first because his request - that buu be reincarnated as a good person - was fulfilled. SECOND, this goes back to Goku's change in attire and lack of symbol - something westerners often don't even notice - Goku is a Grandpa now - he may HAVE another 20 years left before his saiyan body ages, but he's AWARE that he doesn't have forever - he's not immortal and has no desire to make the wish to BE immortal. Remember, back then in the 90s this WAS meant to be the end of Goku's life journey - the last time we'd see him. Goku's change in symbol and attire and even the color he wears signifies that he's come full circle and found inner peace - and rather than a DISCIPLE, Goku's NEXT life journey going forward is as a SENSEI, as I said - a TEACHER to the next generation. He knows who Uub is, he's excited by his POTENTIAL - remember, this guy is BORN with a power that 10 years earlier would have been a huge threat to Goku and the universe, and can become many many MANY times stronger than kid buu ever was given that's his STARTING level - and GOKU is excited to be his MASTER. He's excited about how much he can TEACH uub, not Uub's current power level (again, it's been 10 years, and they trained the whole time, logically - GOku and Vegeta would both EASILY kill kid buu by this point) - because Goku's SATISFIED in life. He's BEATEN the best - he and Vegeta stand way, way, WAY beyond ANYONE in he universe by THIS point in the timeline - he has nothing left to prove. THIS is Goku taking it very, VERY easy on Uub (at NO point should emitting a tiny fraction of his base level ki make you think he was even CLOSE to powering up to max for base - the dude took those hits, said thanks man, felt nice, and didn't have a SCRATCH on him - he was GLISTENING CLEAN - his SHIRT got a bit ripped but HE was about as impacted by that as you would be if I tossed a marshmallow casually at you - he wasn't overwhelmed -to him, it was like a hot shower to get the blood flowing - a nice, light, refreshing feeling - in DBZ, when a character is not even SCRATCHED after an assault like that, and is smiling, it means they're s far beyond you it's not even funny, and they can wipe you out in a heartbeat). As for being "blown back", that's not meaningful when Goku was in no way, shape or form actually fully powered up, or even close, even for base. That was just to show Uub reaching into his majin buu power well and pulling out more, but make no mistake - Goku and Vegeta could each pop his head off like a dandylion, base form, if they had a mind to (or didn't you notice? Vegeta wasn't even remotely worried about being surpassed - he casually observed).
You are looking at this from a western lens. Try an eastern one.
