GT Goku is freaking nuts. I don't know how people forgot about how OP this entire series was compared to DBS.
Really liked this form and ssj4. It brought sayains back to their roots and simultaneously evolved them. Ssj4 felt different, powerful, primal, and it is achived by controlling this form, combining both of the saiyains transformation, ozaru and super sayain.
The Great Ape needs to come back. And I don't care how it does. It just needs to return.
I like the idea of the Golden Oozaru was the true form of the SSJ legend and then leads up to the powerful SS4.
GT is the only thing that gave us the golden Oozaru
I’ll die on this hill, Saiyans without their tails don’t transform the way they should/ would in the past. Kakarot even said he always feels stronger when he has his tail. Super Saiyan 4 would probably be the design for a saiyan with a tail. Not as strong but that badass design.
Something i just realized is that both golden ozaru and ssj4 are combining ssj and ozaru, with golden ozaru leaning more to the ozaru side of the sayain and ssj4 leaning more to the ssj side.

I still believe SSJ4 is the true legendary SSJ form. All other forms are byproducts of having no tail.... Plus Vegeta wasn't able to transform back into SSJ4 at the end of GT.
I love this concept. I wish it was acknowledged more in Z through Vegeta's knowledge as the Prince of Saiyans.
One of my favourite Transformations, it was nice to see it utilised in Dragon Ball Heroes.
The fact they said its power kept rising made think yea saiyan of legend 😁😁😁😁

What I like about Golden Ape Oozaru is that it pays homage to the fact their alien monkies, and apes being the greatest of monkies. Plus when a male lowland gorilla hits sexual maturity gets his signature silverback, eerily similar to Saiyans getting blonde/silver hair colors at their peak. Universe 6 saiyans made a refernce to this by the phrase Cabba used to teach Califalia/Kale "Tinge down your back" similar to a Gorillas silverback. Plus this add to the argument that giant monsters like Godzilla and King Kong level are actually the true victors in the DB universe, granted this franchise isn't like Godzilla/King Kongs where they fight giant monsters each other, but you have to admit each time they come across a giant monster with significant hype they have a hell of a hard time beating it like the Hirudegarn in Wrath of the Dragon, Cell Max in Super Hero, or even Oozaru forms themselves, only by using moves with equal beastial power like Dragonfist punch or Beast gohan.

Im not gonna lie due to the fact its a shout out to namek saga vegetas telling of the legend in his head if im not mistaken and we saw a slightly gold oozaru and then it happend it became my favorite transformation however the controlling of it and turning into syper saiyan4 is really awesome.
