Wow! Haven't heard that version b4. Awesome guitar playing!
I cried the day I heard Randy died in '82 and I cry every time I hear him play this song in reminiscence.
Tommy Aldridge, a renowned drummer in the heavy metal and hard rock scene, has played with numerous bands throughout his career. Here's a compiled list:
Black Oak Arkansas (Early 1970s): Southern rock band that served as his launching pad.
Pat Travers Band (1978-1981): A stint that included appearances on five of their albums.
Ozzy Osbourne (1981-1982): Joined Ozzy's newly formed band after his departure from Black Sabbath.
Gary Moore (1984)
Whitesnake (1984-1989, 2002-2007, 2013-present): An on-again, off-again relationship with this legendary band.
Ted Nugent (Various stints): Collaborations throughout the years.
Thin Lizzy (2010-2011): A short but impactful period filling in for their late drummer.
Manic Eden (1990s): A band formed with former Whitesnake bandmates.
House of Lords (1992): Recording and touring for their album "Demons Down"
Hear 'n Aid (1985): A charity project uniting rock and metal musicians
This list might not be exhaustive, but it covers Tommy Aldridge's most notable bands. His extensive career has seen him collaborate with various other artists, solidifying his reputation as a drumming powerhouse.
they were great, BOA played one of their songs back then , 2 part harmony guitar, cannot remember the darn name of it.
Rudy Sarzo is on bass in this video.
It’s a little heavier and slower than the studio version.
John, have you ever listened to White Lion and their guitarist, Vito Bratta? They released their debut album in 1985 and their last album, Mane Attraction in 1991, and then split up in 1992. After the split, Vito put down his guitar and never really picked it back up since. He has a very unique and melodic style and has produced some of the most beautiful guitar solos and guitar work that I’ve heard. Michael Sweet, singer and lead guitarist for Stryper, described Vito’s solos as “songs within songs”. Here is an instrumental piece from their last album, “Blue Monday”, live. The video quality is very poor but the audio quality is good. Just check it out when you get time.
