I love this movie I must have watched it over a hundred times back in high school. My friend brought it over and we watched a little bit of it and we were rolling. It's funny as hell all on its own but it's even funnier if you understand all the references and know the groups and songs that are being parodied. The period that is being parodied is my favorite time period of hip hop from 91 to 94. I think that movie is so underrated and is still just as funny now as when I first saw it which was in the summer of 95.
I am one of the last white boys named Jerome and I approve of this movie. One of the best comedy spoofs I have ever seen. "Don't shoot until you see the whites. Wheres your wallet?

I haven't seen this since 1994, and Goood God, does this bring back the kooky insanity of the 1990s. Every subgenre of Hip Hop was displayed here. If you didn't grow up in the 1990s, this movie will show you what you missed.

I like Spinal Tap a lot but after watching Fear of a Black Hat, Tap seems slowly paced. FoaBH moves briskly. Fear is superb. Great talent all around.
