I remember hearing this on the box, and telling my mates about it and no one believing me. God bless the internet.
Wow...same story frfr
@@therillanigga same here too bro! I remember this jam & ice froggy frog getting spins on the box coming up 😁
Every day before school the box lol
I seen it there too.
@@franklincianchetta9865 music television you control. The box believes you have a mind.
It's 2021, and I'm still laughing at this masterpiece... 🤣🤣🤣
2022 now
@@firefightercentral And now its 2023 🤣🤣🤣
2024 and still cracking up at this genius song
2024 as well - still awesome
this underrated movie needs to make a comeback
I have no idea why this movie is not more popular. This is one of the funniest movies ever
I watch you several times a year. If you haven't seen it......Get to it You will love it
Because unfortunately cb4 had more recognizable actors but to me fear of a black hat was way funnier and better thought out Cundieff is a great mind
This film was made for one dollar less than a million and didn’t get much money for marketing.
I love Chris Rock but this film is so much better than CB4. I love that they actually made a soundtrack album with fully produced versions of all the songs from the film.
I snapped this up on DVD from Amazon as soon as it came out..I figured they wouldn’t make a lot of them!
@@SpencerhawkinzCB4 also came out first, so everyone thought this was a cheap ripoff even though it was actually created first.
Possibly the greatest song ever
@Spencerhawkinz rusty actually did both movies
even snoop had to laugh at this one
This whole movie was ahead of its time. This song is a PROMO for the movie that never even appeared in the final cut! Brilliant!
Just rediscovered this movie after watching it on VHS with my dad as a kid. As a kid I loved the wackiness of the movie, but as an adult I can appreciate the genius social commentary and hilarious writing. Whether it was the hilarious scenes like Tasty Taste showing off his guns or the awesome lyrics in all the songs. Just an overall under appreciated genius work of art, through and through.
This movie is a classic, I first saw it on bootleg VHS, had me rollin’. I couldn’t see it in theaters at the time because it was banned by then, yes banned from theaters! Too many thugs went to see it in theaters, causing violence, so they pulled it from theaters! I now own the DVD, this movie is a masterpiece! My favorite line is, “when you take that bus, you get there!”
I didn’t even know about this song until I read about it in Wikipedia, of all places! Hi-C said it too, “wait awhile, I can do it Froggy style”!
it was banned?
you can talk about hoes all you like, but as soon as you start talking about the real deal everyone starts buggin!
@@haruyasumi616 cuz when you take that bus, you get there!
That was all related to that shit....that happened way back when
I had the Soundtrack!
@@tomcruzthecomedian you understand this motherfucker?
One of the greats hidden treasures of a comedy.
"Haulin 187 on a CB4 plot" Cundieff is genius and FOABH is a great movie.
+bo0tsy1 hahahah fuck I never noticed that line. Brilliant.
+bo0tsy1 Ha never noticed that either! Man, I always expected amazing things from him but sadly he never really made anything else great that I know of. It's not too late but I feel like a bunch of talent was wasted.
he did like 25 episodes of chappelle show , but other than that yeah.. not really anything else
secretcountry he made tales from the hood
@@NeoNovaTraining He did Tales From The Hood too
So lucky to have grown up in the 90's, best movies and best music, still so funny🐸🐸🐸🐸
One of the funniest movie of the 90s
The frog on the turntable scratch was the funniest damn thing
I loved this film back in the day. I had no idea there was a soundtrack with actual songs from the movie. Lol
"That intro is gold: "You don't love me. You just love my froggy style."
This parody is how ACTUAL Mainstream music really is...
i remember this from the box as well. From when i was about 9 or so.
channel 2 way back
The Box! Hell yeah. I remember that, and Thuggish Ruggish Bone and Sir Mixalot's Put 'em on the Glass. The Box was like MTV reborn again with music videos. Good memories.
I remember this video. Funny stuff. Even more funny is the fact that this early 90s spoof song is better than any rap song you'll find on the radio these days.
I remember this from The Box...lol
Me too. I was 9 years old. This is only the 2nd time I saw this video. Yep. Once when I was 9 and today at the age of 33
I was like 11 or 12. Music tv you control
Channel 49 wasn’t it
Word
First place I saw it too, talk about wtf when it ran.
Yeah he acts completely different in this film, but plays both parts so well.
For sure an all time classic. To create a parady song and have it tight is pure genius. Great movie.
Rusty was genius on this.
I remember I was having a conversation with my late friend and we got on the topic of CB4. Right there he says, "Fear of a Black Hat is better!"
I had never even heard of the movie. So he tells me that this movie was produced after CB4 but anyone thinking they were copying each other were wrong. So he told me if I even got the chance to see it because it was so funny. I don't know when I had the chance to see it but hoo boy I was in stitches. When I finally saw CB4, while it wasn't bad there was something different in the level of humor. It just didn't hit as hard in the humor in the same way FoABH did. It could have also been that I'm not a big fan of Chris Rock until I actually understood him. His cheapskake character used to drive me insane when he'd show up in the same way Spike Lee's Mars Blackman.
It was like one movie was funny to the point that it was hard to pick one moment while the other if you asked what was the funniest moment you only had a few that stood out. Both films are great in their own right and both should be on anyone's DVD shelf. I own both. There will never be a moment like this again on this level of comedy film making.
When I was in the 10th grade, my friend and I brought the TV and VCS out on the roof so we could watch this and smoke blunts without getting caught.
Rusty Cundieff a freaking genius🙏🏽
Flies that a drop, and you know I won't stop. Mr. 187 on a CB4 Plot. 😅
30 years later and this song still slaps!
My childhood was dope af🤣🤣🤣
haha yes it was
This will never get old 😂
Funny to call Spinal Tap stupid considering the makers of this movie absolutely loved it and based the their entire film on making a hip hop version...FOABH IS THE HIP HOP Spinal Tap - and they're both great.
Man I forgot all about this. Dope !!!!!!
How this wasn't in Rocko's Modern Life as the Bigheads' theme I'll never know.
🤣🤣🤣
easily one of my favorite movies ever made
it gets funnier and funnier the more you watch
it's a rich tapestry
@@haruyasumi616 Ha! Nice Freash quote!
man I remember watchin that when I was 12 years old... I've always wondered how Snoop felt about this parody LoL
+FlipStar26 Snoop hated it. He criticized it passive aggressively without mentioning it directly. Snoop was asked if he listens to other types of music besides rap and Snoop said he likes all types of music as long as it's original.
+Patrick Dukemajian Surprising. I can't imagine him giving too much a fuck these days. He was a G back then though
🤣 I just watched this film last night after Larry B. Scott posted a pic of all the guys together. It was HILARIOUS! 😂Don’t know why I never checked out this movie till now. 🤦🏽♀️
Frog and the swamp pound lol
I'm here in 2024 because of an AI version of Kermit the frog doing gin and juice reminded me of this banger. Lol
Tales from the hood story he was in was a trip I still remember that with David Alan Grier 😂
"Ribbit ribbit" 😂
FOABH is a work of genius on many many levels thanks to Cundieff
I can't remember how I first came across it, but I loved it from the first scene. I've seen it so many times, and was lucky enough to find a couple of DVDs of it ages back - one for me and one for my bro - both huge fans of gangsta rap of the late 80s early 90s.
It's such a fucking clever script, excellent performances, and manages to take the piss out of the scene while being completely a love-letter to it at the same time.
It's super sad that the film wasn't more of a hit - Cundieff deserved to launch a career off the back of this, like Kevin Smith did with Clerks.
Still, every time I meet a new hip-hop fan in my social group, I pull out that disc for another spin!
I been looking for this forever! Top 5 comedy imo
I remember this was after the credits from fear of a black hat
YA this the shit i remember this
5 STARS!
It never gets old
"MR. 187 ON A CB4 PLOT!" 💀💀💀💀💀

@majixone77
As far as the sheer number of laughs I've had from any movie, the number of times I've seen a movie and still found it funny, and how long I've been quoting a movie with my friends and family--this is one of the top 3.
kermit the frog would dig this🐸🐸🐸🐸
This is classic!
