I miss Doug sahm 😢
So love Doug's music the minute I heard it. Just seen his hat on ebay with his signature, I would have loved to go see him in person. Thank you God for this wonderful man an his music that lives on.
Lived in Austin from 1971 - 1981. Haven't been back, my memory is pure!
You hit it perfectly
Don't. You would be disappointed in it now.
One of my heroes, Bob Dylan, once said "If you don't like Doug Sahm's music it's because you ain't heard him yet".
Doug Sahm !!! R&R Hall of Fame.....

13:00 I love Doug Sahm for all of the great music and performances, but what he did for Roky makes me love him even more. Doug helped Roky put out his first single on Doug’s label, produced it and got him gigging again after getting out of Rusk. God bless Doug and Roky
My Coeur 1975 's Sir Doug !!!!!
Lucky to see Doug and the guys at Armadillo in mid 70s. When life brought me back to Austin in 82 was anguished to see HQ had closed. Managed to Doug and Alvin at a small venue. Wasn't the same but did get to share a joint with Doug before his set. The joy he brought to his music......
His recordings were good...his in person performances even better.
i saw Doug play at the Armadillo in the Fall of '76,,bunch of GI's from Ft.Hood partying in Austin🎸♥️👍🏼

I LOVE DOUG SAHM, LOVE FREDDY FENDER, LOVE OGIE MAYERS, FLACO HIMENESS MOST OF ALL I LOVE TEXAS TORNADO- I AM BILGARIAN AND I THINK MY WRITING IS OK
One thing of that all these guys have in common other than being legendary musicians in their own right is because they oh have lived in one of the greatest music pools that there ever was. Austin Texas God bless you Doug Sahms and God bless your Freddy fender you are missed down here guys
Nothing but RESPECT to our God Bless sent Doug Sahm.
What a beautiful voice and attitude was also the sent to his guitar.
And everyone else. (Whoever said 'quit talking' wasn't necessary, it's all info needed from fans, Wisdom with however wouldn't have ever got sent.)
Great performance. I saw them in Rotterdam in this combination. Always great. I know John Reed already from 1981 in The Alamo Lounge in West sixth Street performing with Butch Hancock. Mike Buck Greatest Texas style drummer. Love them all.
I was living in a small town outside of Kansas City, and during my senior year my girlfriend and I along with my mother went to visit my Aunt in Dallas, from there my girlfriend and I left Mom in Dallas and we went to Austin to see my cousin Phil , the second day we were there Phil took us to The Armadillo World Headquarters to see Boz Scaggs , it was great, at the time you could drink at 18 , I was in heaven, cold beer , great nachos, and great music, I knew that I was moving there , as soon as highschool was over I moved to Austin, two weeks later my girlfriend joined me, We saw some great music at The Armadillo World Headquarters, my favorite was Freddy King , Jerry Garcia played there alot also, Austin Texas in the 1970s was a wonderful place
I agree!
We made many trips there in the late 70s and early 80s from the coast.
6th Street was on fire!
Now it's all gone to shit.
I remeber going there to so many concerts and also well it was the 70's so I don't remember somethings lol . Austin was the place to be
These homecoming shows were a blast. Joe Ely did a hell of a set, among others. We had seats right in front of Anne Richards. A good time was had by all✌🤠
Everything that is great about ‘Americana’ in a single artist and his career. I’m sorry his time was so short, but I’m heartened he was still playing out like this.
Great show, kicking of with a fantastic version of Roy head's 'One More Time'(TNT): get it Doug i
Fantastic as usual.
LOVE ALL THEM-FANTASTIC MUSICIANS AND LOVELY PERSONS
I just watched a video from 20 years before this - same keyboard player, same orange keyboard.
Love the Roky Erickson cover
First Concert that I ever went to was Freddie King at The Armadillo World Headquarters 😁
ALWAYS GOOD MUSIC FROM TEXAS U.S .A.......AMEN !
Great live concert!
The thing I remember most is the vibe. It was just like the Fillmore in San Francisco. Laid back Stoney. Everyone worked for peanuts 😂
What was up with the drummer during Adios Mexico? Lol

How many calories did these attendees burn while dancing to be able to eat dozen tacos later... 😁
Sad but venue gone. ☹️
