Every Jungkook solo song is different..... EVERY. I don't get what people mean by saying it's so different from what he usualy does...... what is usual? EVERY solo song of his is in different genre and mood.
I agree and I also think that this is because Jk is like a chameleon. For example he can change his voice to make it fit with whoever he is in a collab with.
You guys remember that the WC hosting country, Qatar, initiated this song and could have picked any singers in the world but picked JK to sing for their opening ceremony. Obviously they pick English since that is the most commonly used language.
It needed to be a commercial song. Once again, Jungkook, (BTS) nailed it !
To be honest, I would have watched about a 1/2 hour of the world cup. I've always thought soccer was boring. Then Jungkook singing DREAMERS in the Opening Ceremony and you watch a little longer. You look a few things up and you watch a sportscast, and you start to know the players and understand the game. Then you've watched 2 weeks of games and your nose is on the tv screen watching Argentina & France play so ferociously. Like 2 lions on the field. It was nail biting. My new love for soccer was all because of JK singing Dreamers in the opening ceremony, true story!

I think jungkook is very versatile and every producer that he has ever worked with says that he is a dream to work with because he knows what song demands and tries to set the tome for the song through his voice . The song is a perfect FIFA song. People really need to see how brave jungkook has been with his solo choices so far. I can't wit fro more music from him because I know he will kill it

I didn't think it was a criticism to say that it's a song for commercials, it's a song for fifa and the world cup. In this song, I realized that JK can make any kind of music. His album will deliver vocals but I'm already expecting a rap song because he's very versatile. 💜
Exactly and I think of Whitney Houston's song for some sports event she did. 'One Moment in Time' was the song. It was mostly commercial too. So these type of songs for events will most likely sound commercial or universal I call them. 🤓

when people say its a "commercial song" it doesnt mean literally a song for commercials. it means its a song that is easy to listen to, made for everyone. like for example, "kpop" is a genre that not many people will like. same with rock music, or ballads, so on and so forth. but a "commercial song" basically means a song that is made for everyone to like. a lot of people might not like it because its too "for the masses" but they will still admit its a song thats catchy and easy to listen to.

Commercial song? Well it has to be since it’s a World Cup song 🙃 The celebratory atmosphere the song creates and the feeling of unity it brings fits really well with the World Cup. The song got played almost in every match. His voice reached out to a whole different audience. Seeing people (who has no idea about kpop) singing this at the stadium or posting their teams achievement with using this song really makes me proud of JK. He was the best choice & now I'm glad he knows his voice can travel far and beyond the kpop niche. Also It's really a bold and very brave move for him to expose himself like this and perform at the opening ceremony in front of a tough audience like the football fans and with almost zero fandom presence. He is the first bts member/ the first kpop artist dare i say to perform in front of such a large audience that is not dominated by their fanbase that too as his first ever solo step!! This was a really successful step for him before his official solo debut.

Jungkook really is the best pop vocalist in the world! He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard! He made history as the first Asian Act to ever perform at the World Cup and ‘Dreamers’ broke so many records! Really proud of him! 💜🌟

The producer of the song is a Moroccan named RedOne.
* The marine animal is actually a whale sharks and it s one of the most special marine species in qatar and it s considered a symbol here. And if you notice, the kid was holding a “big sized pearl” before he let go of it in the sea and it went on the whale sharks s skin.
The chants in the beginning of the song that say (ala ho la dan) are melodies that Qatari sailors back in the day used to sing when leaving their homes to look for pearls in the sea. The word (dan) coming from the arabic word (dana) which means a “big pearl”. that s why you can see scenes of sailors and fishermen in traditional Qatari clothings dancing on the ship with the chants!
Actually, the six whale sharks represents the six Gulf Cooperating Countries (GCC), which are Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman.

The other guy name is Fahad Al Kubaisi he is a 41 years old Arabic singer, record producer and fashion model. His voice has been described as a "tender" baritone. Yes, it is a beautiful MV done to promote Qatar and global aspect of FIFA. Jungkook went there to record. It was probably in English because it was written and given to him that way. They were very clever to invite a real global start like Jungkook….his participation made this song much more successful than the typical FIFA song.

I don't think it's bad to say it is a commercial song. Because it was meant to be commercial. Since like you said in was for the World Cup. The only thing I wish it had was some Korean even if it was a little bit, other than that I really enjoy this song.

Btw, take some time and compare photos of JK and Jah of SB19. Do they really look alike? My ears have grown dull from hearing it from Reactors and everyone. I don't see it except in a few photos.
