this is one of the interviews where I realized how Jungkook has wisdom beyond his age. i am always amazed with his performances but im amazed with how he thought of things and just realized to have his own style at such a young age of 13 when he started. that is why your the golden maknae. thank you Max for this.
Although he listens to his hyungs well, but he has a mind of his own. He always figure things out his own way and is full of passion and determination, which is what drives him forward. I think he is someone with deep thoughts and dnt usually show it to public. Incredible young man! Jhope is awesome as always!! 💜
Jungkook has been an enigma to many.
He can come across as silly, unfocused, attention span lacking and zoned out goof ball at times, but then you see him in settings like here, getting intensely introspective, sharp focused and precisely analytical when he talks about stuff that is close to his heart. Music is his burning passion and he has ton to say about that, with wisdom and intent that is rare to witness with other singers. He finds it more difficult to express his ideas and emotions but some of the best quotes and small nuggets of wisdom I have heard over years come from him personally - " I refuse to put a grade on my life", "Without pain and heartache you can´t appreciate success and happiness ", " I am the main character of my life ", " I would rather die than live without passion " ...
I think that Jungkook communicate in a totally unique and his own way and I find him infinitely fascinating to watch. A true renaissance man one could say. He doesn´t engage in a BS talk, he doesn´t beat about the bush, he is not the one to premeditate his answers to score him some brownie points. I think he finds it quite difficult to chit chat just for the sake of chit chatting, the same as Suga does... when they open their mouth, there is a clear intent behind. I love this approach and love this personality trait because I am a direct opposite myself, talking way to much and at times wastefully :-)
He is simply fascinating to me.
he is an enigma but at the same time an open book if that makes sense. i've been a jk biased army for a couple years now and i obviously know so much about him, i've watched tons of jk related content yet i feel like every year that passes i learn so many new things about him as a person, it's as if i'm rediscovering him. he's still the same in a way but now he's so unapologetically himself and so much more open to share his thoughts with us, this is especially noticeable in his recent vlives.
As years goes I realise how much wisdom jungkook has , the bts members always say " jungkook is all grown up 🥺" because the baby brother keeps surprising them with his thoughts 😂💜 it's so cute

When i first saw this interview, i was quite moved. Jk was so small when he debuted, and with so many responsibilities in his shoulders. In older interviews, he would usually say a lot of things rooted in insecurities and self-deprecation, with a sense of perfectionism that was harmful for him, but seeing him grow to be a man so sure of himself, that knows his worth, limits and possibilities, it truly makes me happy
As a JK bias, this in-person interview is far and away my favourite of his. It’s such a great insight into his mindset on his artistry and singing. He has been BTS' main vocalist since he was 15, shouldering the responsibility of singing not only his parts but doing background vocals/chorus for a majority of bts’ songs. He’s given tips to other vocal line members since debut because he truly understood the use of his instrument and the aspect of stylistic singing in performances. His relationship with art in general has grown so much. His gcfs are wonderful masterpieces, especially the helinski & newark ones. His ITS paintings made Namjoon think of Bob Ross. His music is emotive and resonant. And you have to be a special kind of person to achieve all of this, in my opinion.
Also if you want to read more of his thought process, his written interviews are excellent!! Weverse Magazine and Vogue Korea have very interesting talking points. Jk’s depth as an artist is significant and admirable.

Jungkook is the best person ever, a true genius💜 He has been named one of the greatest singers of all time (only korean male and youngest male overall), so proud of him!! I love when we get Jungkook solo interviews or videos because that’s when we can hear the most from him and know more about his mindset, so beautiful and inspiring! His artistry is on another level:)
It's been a while since I have watched this interview and I'm just as impressed now as I was when I first watched it. JK has truly grown into such a wise and ambitious person. He constantly wants to improve upon himself and that's something that really inspires me. And J-Hope as always is such an inviting person to talk to. He really is great at letting the other person open up.
I think you summarised it perfectly, Jungkook is definitly true to himself and his drive and authenticity are some of the most unique traits. Jungkook really does captivate everyone with his maturity and inner strength ❤ That's why he's my bias ^^

Jeon Jungkook. I want to start by talking about your musicality in this sense, more specifically, your voice. You have the most healing, soothing, calming, and passionate voice I have heard in my life. You have such a breathy, gorgeous vocal tone that ignites every single word that you sing. It is one action to speak, but sometimes what you sing says more to us than what mere words could ever. Your voice is as gentle and comforting as a lullaby, but as powerful and soulful as a person’s spirit. You can bring tears to those who aren’t sensitive, and put a spring in the step of those who feel lifeless. You’re the only person who I know encompasses so much talent and possibility in one voice. You tell stories, give advice, and release pain just by singing for us. Just as your singing serves as an entire mind and body experience for the listener, your dancing is equally as imperative as a component for your exquisite performances. You have all of the skills and marks of a phenomenal dancer, but when you dance your body absorbs the music. Your body moves and becomes one with the rhythm, and watching you fall into the music to let yourself go makes us feel liberated. Whether it be contemporary, hip-hop, or any other style, your body naturally adapts to the atmosphere and every little morsel of composition. Only you have the blood in your veins that pumps through it the essence of dance; of which no amount of training or practice could be put in to acquire. Needless to say, you have reached new heights in the world as well as within yourself musically. You’ve quite clearly taken the globe by storm as you have emerged as one of the most iconic artists in this generation; and furthermore, in this world. You’ve revolutionized the sound and meaning of music; as well as performance etiquette. There will literally never be another artist to grace this Earth like you again, so we will live through and spread the history that you have made with each passing day. Thank you for your legacy in music and for discovering more about it each time you associate with it. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality all the same. After years of being in this line of work, you’ve only matured, but never lost who you are at your core. You are astonishingly humble and I always marvel at this especially given how admirable of a person that you are. Most importantly, you are the greatest friend a person could ask for and I know that your members love this about you more than anybody else. You are so intriguing in that your members have always wanted to protect you, yet they want to learn from you and look up to you all the same. The past several years of knowing them, no doubt have been the greatest and you are at the heart of the memories that make them who they are. You give them youth, energy, strength, determination, and belief in themselves. Where the other boys may see insecurities and imperfections in themselves, all you have ever seen is beauty and perfection. They wouldn’t know their worth if you hadn’t spent the past years of their lives raising them and instilling in them the values to live a satisfied and rewarding life. Army just want to thank you for filling every single second of your members’ lives since you’ve met with the greatest memories and stories worth telling. Thank you for helping them grow and evolve, all while ensuring that they listen to their heart. Thank for changing their lives forever, and becoming a brother that will remain a part of their soul even in death. I want to personally thank your family and parents for raising you and helping you to become the irreplaceable light that you represent in this world. I have no doubt that you family is one of your biggest, if not the one reason that you are able to be where you are today. I know that they helped you and allowed you to reach your dream. I’ve heard you thank them and consider them so many times along your journey and I know that you keep them with you everywhere that you go. You will get lost and might feel like you can’t ever find your way back, but your family will always be your guidance. There is no situation too severe that they could not save you from and help you through. They support you more than anybody else in this world. You honor them will all that you do and attest to the way they raise you with the life you lead. Don’t ever think you disappoint them because you are their greatest love and dream in this life. They will always love you and be proud of you more than anybody else in this world. As ARMY, we keep them in our hearts as you do and strive to be as gentle and impactful to others as they are. Jungkook, I was unaware of the depth that could exist in a relationship between fans and idols until you came into my life. So much has changed in your life since you started, and I realize that one of the constants that has never changed, only gotten stronger, is ARMY and our love for you. You don’t let your walls come down entirely until you are with us or your members, and we get to see you as realistically as possible without meeting you in person. We live our day to day lives working hard because we know that you are somewhere several miles away doing the same for us. We’ve seen you go through a lot and though it is unbearable to see you down at all, we are so lucky that you trust us enough to see you in these conditions. You work so hard for us; pushing your body and mind past its limit just to make us happy and we don’t deserve you straining yourself for just one performance. Not to make you feel overwhelmed, but you have literally saved the lives of hundreds, maybe even thousands of ARMY who have wanted to give up on themselves. You give us all the strength, love, and faith that we need to live the best life, even if it means giving some of your own basic needs to us. I want to thank you for making our lives so worthy and making us individually feel like we are on top of the world. No matter when they meet you, it feels like they’ve had years of the greatest and most emotional memories that will be treasured and honored in the most sensitive part of our hearts. Thank you for helping the millions of ARMY fulfill their destiny in life and for giving them a place of bliss to return to that lies within you. We could never forget that the best years of our lives will be defined by you. I know that you’ve been through a lot, both personally and professionally. We’ve been trusted enough to see some of what you gone through, whether it be physically, mentally, or in any other way. Like aforementioned, even if you are in the slightest bit unhappy, it is unbearable and overwhelming to see. We’ve already seen too much, but it breaks our hearts to know that we might not even know the half of it. You’ve been working for so long, and essentially gave up your youth for all of us. I can’t imagine how hard it might have been on you at times. Given this, all I can say on behalf of all of your loved ones is that we are so beyond proud of you for making it past all of your struggles. I know that you’ve found true happiness and have felt alive doing what you do, and we are just so thankful that you are able to overcome what ails you. When the time comes, you are able to remain optimistic and turn your pain into productivity. Every time, you come out on the other side so much more mature and experienced. We all look up to you in this sense because you see every difficult moment as a time to learn and grow. Of course I want you to work until you are satisfied with yourself, but I don’t want you to stress because you want it to be perfect for us. You are already perfect to us and beautiful inside and out. It feels like living in a dream with you and our lives are now not complete without you in it. You are our whole world and heart, and no matter what happens in the future or where you go, you have our undying, unwavering, unconditional love. You are our inspiration in this life where everything is scary and uncertain, and I can’t thank you enough for blessing all of us by sacrificing so much of your time. This interview shows the maturity of jungkook 😍
When JK released his photofolio in September, I immediately thought of this interview where he said he wanted to create stories and characters. For his photofolio, he created a vampire character for himself.
The photofolios that have been released by the other members so far incorporate some aspects of themselves. RM's is the most straightforward, portraying himself as a performer, an art lover, and a nature lover. Jimin expresses sides of himself in a more abstract manner. Jin expresses his love for fishing and the sea into three related characters, a captain, a pirate, and a fisherman. Taehyung expresses his love for the classics as a gentleman from yesteryear. Only JK created a character that (I feel) truly separate from himself. But we'll see what Hobi and Yoongi came up with for theirs.

jungkook is just so honestly himself all the time which made me drawn to him from the beginning, hes so unapologetically true to himself ! he’s kind, extremely humble and bery passionate & hardworking so his love for music really comes across naturally ❤
It’s amazing what JK has accomplished in his 10 years in the industry. And he’s only 25! He has the rest of his life to explore and learn as an artist. When I was that age I was just STARTING my career. The members did a great job of bringing him up. I do also love that he limited the voice lessons so he wouldn’t lose his own style.
Then J-Hope. I feel like he’s the hub that connects every one. You see it through the videos. Tae visited the set when Hobi was filming More. Then when RM finished his album, I thought he said that Hobi was the first person to listen to it. Then Jin called Hobi from the military. Then we have Jimin flying out to Lollapalooza to support Hobi. Just a few examples.
Crazy that he's only 25!
He does feel like the "hub" in a way, especially when you bring up those examples.
Jungkook said Hobi is the center of each BTS member.
Thanks for the great reaction 🙏 I like the combination of JK and Hobi. RM once said that both are very close, so I think Hobi meant the formal setting when he said “awkward“ 1:19.
To give my two cents to JK’s character: It‘s interesting how well JK listens to his inner self and intuition and how he isn’t afraid to break out from standards and that already at a young age. Many people are not aware of it how huge it is that a 13 year old made such big decisions like choosing Bighit and how to manage his singing at this young age by himself! JK has mentioned a few times that his parents let him try out things and that they’ve always encouraged him. They just scolded him in situations when things were obviously wrong, he said in a livestream. J-Hope also once said that JK has always been a free spirit.
JK motivates me when it’s about trying out new things and improving. His mindset and work ethic is inspirational. He sets enormous standards for himself and is a perfectionist.
What I‘ve also noticed is that JK isn‘t judgmental and prejudiced at all. That was also revealed in a later episode when they did the mbti test. Can‘t wait to see more reactions to the BTS members personalities.
Speaking as a parent - when you have a kid like Jungkook, your job is to make sure he has everything he needs, give him some moral guidance and encouragement, and otherwise get out of his way. 😁 I'm very glad his parents agreed with me about that.
Jk rocks sometimes to sooth himself from being nervous
Where Namjoon is the theoretical doer, JK is the practical doer. This made me understand better why JK and V often find the common interest in situations.
One of The unique things about BTS is all of them are very self aware and I think that's one of the reasons of their success. That's why they have improved over the years as artists and as human beings as well. Self aware, very self-critical and willing to put in the effort.

Its a bit sad that so few have seen the goofy side of Jungkook because he really is funny. He is so genuine. He just do random funny things in a split of second, it can be acting, imitation, mention something he have seen, (he is amazing at remembering). It can be during an interview, stage performances, rehearsels etc and its not always noticed if you dont keep an eye on him :)
Jk also directed the life goes on mv. I think.
What you’re seeing here is the mind of a creative introvert when he feels safe to open up and reveal his crazy inner world :)
Hobi is such a caring friend that, as you aptly noted, he’s happy to get out of the way and listen and let JK emote and express his inner thoughts. A very interesting contrast with the Jin/JK interaction which was a pairing of two weird introverts, so they could drop their guard and just be goofy with each other because they know they are wired very much the same.
Also not a huge surprise JK is so self aware - imagine being a weird artistic soul and growing up with emotionally intelligent hyungs like RM and Jimin who provide with guidance and balance. JK is ready to blossom and start revealing his deep inner genius!

I wanted to suggest another set of interviews they did together for their previous album Map of the Soul:7- [2020 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) Answer : BTS 3 UNITS.
It was really funny and insightful. They made almost 10 min interviews with 3 groups- RM & Suga; Jhope, JK and Jin; V and Jimin. I found Suga and RM'S especially hilarious because they kept praising and talking about each other but didn't make eye contact once😂
There is an interview BTS did called 2021 Special Talk Show - Let's Talk and it's a great interview they did where they really opened up about one another and all their achievements until now. The interview is not fully posted on YT but its on daily motion in 2 parts. Please please react to it it's really good and fun and you can see how relaxed the guys are because of the MC (he's very famous).
1:19 if I can give my two cents, Hobi said "awkwardness" not because they were awkward. But surely like you said it is formality. Since Hobi used to be a good listener and the one who speak when only it is needed, for Hobi to ask questions toward people is not his style. And both of them is introvert, so it is kind of finding how to make this interview to be seamless and fun for both of them. Hahaha XD.
Funny that you mentioned you felt a weirdness in Jungkook… Suga once said that JK is the most talented but also the weirdest dude hes ever met 😂
In a way Jungkook has always been the most true to himself. It might have been because the members always encouraged him to try everything he wanted but at the same time tried to caution or inspire different areas. Jungkook himself said that he used to be selfish (no liking to share) but the members kept scolding him for it and promoting an aspect of teamwork this brought about the ability to think about other's needs above even what he desired himself. If he ever felt discouraged or hesitant the other's would support and compliment him, like the run BTS episode where he was unsure of pulling off a pink shirt in Jimin's typical style, and now he feels comfortable in adapting different styles for himself. He was never critiziced about different choices or habits but allowed to express himself or be playful as much as he needed, partially because those around him cared about him deeply and also because of their awareness to not make him grow too fast and allowing him to live out the original childishness and innocence of his youth.
What about when they told him to not get tattoos, reduce his piercings, cut his hair. Told him to stop working out.
Just started watching your videos and really love your content, but also your contagious positive energy. Also love how you pronounce Suga's name. It always has a bit of swag to it haha 😄After binge watching, I am afraid I will have to become a patreon😁

You should watch their 2017 People interview and their 2019 SiriusXM interview. They both have some variation of the "most likely to..." game. Their answers are very enlightening and you would probably enjoy hearing what they think about each other in a more in-depth way. I love analyzing others as well and these gave me a lot of insight in regards to their group and individual dynamics.

I smiled when you mentioned RM having some similar traits as Jk because they're both Virgos. Of course Astrology isn't our complete make up but there are a few underlying traits that each sign holds. Another excellent analysis I learn a lot from your videos.

JK is a very unique blend. It is like he has traits of all the other 6 as they were with him in formative years, but blended in with what is unique to him.

@@maxpbeaumont drag queens with various kinds of content on youtube and elsewhere. they’re very funny but I imagine it’s the harder to get a read on them because they’re always “putting on a show” and hardly get serious but the thought fascinated me.
I wish Jimin was as confident as JK in his singing style from the beginning when they started - he was excellent then, he had so many colors in his voice and eventhough I still love his voice now, I feel that the vocal training took something away from him. I hope he goes back to his roots with the new music.

I would love if you react to young royals cast. Young royal is a Netflix show it’s originally in Swedish but there are subtitles in English(I think the best way to watch) and a English dub with the actors own voice a really good show if you haven’t watched it. Anyway I would love if you did the cast moments/interviews there are some in English but most are in Swedish with subtitles. One of the lead actors Omar Rudberg is also a singer young royals was his first time acting but I would love if you also did some of his music. I don’t know if you take suggestions but love the channel/patreon
