As an arab army this whole thing felt so unreal when i saw the live performance i was already lost of words because of Jk's vocals and stage presence, ppl kept saying it was like watching the one and only Michael Jackson and then Fahad came through and i completely lost it lol. Fun Facts: The officials of FIFA literally flew to HYBE in South Korea to get JK to do this. All accommodations were provided including private jet, hotel, just everything! They went all out to get JK!!! So proud of him and can't wait for you to see opening ceremony performance! Ooh actually Jungkook learned the choreography like the day before this live performance! Which was crazy! He also had issues with his in-ear and couldn’t really hear himself! But he performed absolutely perfectly! He also mentioned that he wasn’t nervous for the performance but ARMY made him nervous with how nervous we were 😭😭🥺💜

Jungkook having the biggest performance ever for a soloist in kpop history without even officially debuting solo is just iconic. the impact and demand he has as a soloist and he's just getting started. Also can we point the fact that how It's really a bold and very brave move for him to expose himself like this in front of a tough audience like the football fans and performing in that opening ceremony with almost zero fandom presence. I would like to share a part from an interview with one of the dancers Allen Charles Saguion, who participated in the MV. He was starstrucked by JK and the whole interview was very wholesome 🥺 He described what I‘ve always liked about Jungkook. He said: "After working with Jungkook, I literally listened to every song, and watched all music videos that he released. I never really knew until I worked with Jungkook like, he changed something in me, as I always thought that big artists like him would ignore people or snub us just because they are really famous. But Jungkook made me change that thought, because he showed us love and kindness with simple gesture and words. He was different." The choreographer and the grammy nominated producer RedOne were also very impressed. RedOne said: “Jungkook was like a professional, ‘How do you want me to do this?’, ‘Is this the way to sing this part?‘ and so on. It was quick, and we got it done, and it sounded amazing. No headaches. With no promotions, it’s just been the performance at the World Cup. This song is number one, that’s how much he is loved, and that’s how much he and the song are doing good. As an asian, this was such a beautiful thing to witness. The live performance where Fahad & JK hug just screams brotherhood across all nations, religions, ethniticies and identities. Reading all the articles circulating in the Korean media rn makes me feel so proud of this sort of global togetherness Dreamers and its performance and message created. JK’s voice and energy is truly so versatile. This song was the perfect fit for an occasion such as the World Cup and he pulled it off real well. All his music has been so diverse, varied and rich so far. With regards to the explanation of the song, the background vocals of “Dreamers” are rooted in the sailing culture of the Persian Gulf, where Qatar is located. Historically, sailors on trading ships each had very specific roles within their crews, such as pearl diving. Seeing as the sailors’ job was extremely wearying, one of these roles belonged to the crew member in charge of raising their spirits. The melody heard in “Dreamers” thus comes from the tunes that were used to cheer up the sailors drawing from the genre of music called “hdadi.” Im beyond proud of my Jungkookie!🥹 He made history and proved that he is indeed the Global icon! His performance during the FIFA opening ceremony was incredibly impressive having encountered an unexpected technical difficulty mid-performance. Both Kookie and Fahad's voice are insanely amazing!

Hi guys! Wanna share this to you. A Filipino dancer was with this mv he’s the one with white shirt behind Jungkook. He had some great comments, experience w/ JK. “"The first time I saw Jungkook, I noticed how tall he is. He's like 6 foot tall. Jungkook's face was like a baby's. I remember his scent was the most memorable scent in my entire life, like, I still remember every time I watch the music video. His perfume was like a manly smell with a mix of baby scent," he recalled”
It's such a match that the guy remembers the smell in the first place, because Jungkook is himself very sensitive to smells and pays a lot of attention to it. He also randomly sniffs the other boys in interviews or lives. On another note I hope JK saw his comments, because he's slightly smaller than 6 foot and always envies the ones that are.
I remember these two models who were scouted to be backup dancers during one of the PTD concerts, I think the Seoul one, said the EXACT same thing during a YT where they described their experience learning the choreo with the members there. Two ladies. Same It’s wild watching both Tae and Jungkookie since I am old enough to be their mom and I have 2 nephews the same as Tae and Jungkookie as well, so watching the boys growing up and achieving their dreams always tugs on my emotions, same for my nephews, they both have jobs in the fields they wanted, which not a lot of people are lucky enough to find jobs they truly love doing. I am also so happy to see all the members achieving success in their solo careers, while I miss all of them together, finding their own style right now was the best decision, as Namjoon said, being an idol doesn’t allow room to grow up, so now the can💜

He's such a humble person. The choreographer is Peruvian and she said it was a joy working with him. He was always smiling to the dancers instead of ignoring them just because he's a star, wanting to learn the steps to perfection and always kind to everybody.

YEAH he's that INCREDIBLE!! 💜 He went on Weverse and went live with us immediately after his performance and told us about it. He also said that during his performance his ear piece wasn't working properly so he couldn't hear himself or monitor his voice, BUT he was still INCREDIBLE!! I'm always in awe of them. So you wanted to hear what he overcame to perform that? He only started learning the choreo a few days after he arrived in Qatar, and he didn't learn the chorea to the chorus and do any kind of rehearsal until the day before. Also his in-ears weren't working properly so he couldn't hear himself properly during the live performance. He said he didn't even know how it turned out until he listened to the recording afterwards.

Also, the addition of whale is also a call out to army because in the BTS universe, whale is an important symbol for armies, there r a lot songs that showcase the whale in BTS songs, like Whalien 52 and Bulletproof eternal. Also if you noticed 'fahad' the Qatari singer is at a ship singing this melody 'Ala ho la dan', so the whole scene represents the sailors who went hunting for pearls, because it's such a tough job, they stay away from home for months, so when they feel down and sad because they miss their families, they do this chanting: 'ala ho la dan' to cheer them up and lift their spirit...

Jungkook didn't break his leg, but for the Live performance his in-ears weren't working as well as at rehearsal (so, basically, he couldn't hear himself). He mentioned that in a W-Live just after the live performance. Of course, he said he wasn't entirely happy with the performance (I think he rarely is....perfectionist), but he said "at least I didn't make any mistakes". He's just so humble. RedOne co-wrote and produced the song, I believe, but yes, Jungkook was involved in writing and also putting his own spin on the choreo, which he had very little time to learn. For the video, he was seen filming in Qatar in September or October, so it really wasn't that long before FIFA either. I'm really looking forward to his solo works, but no clue when that will be coming out.
I was so excited to know JK was going to sing in the opening ceremony! He's absolutely amazing and since I'm a soccer fan Monterrey (Rayados) Mexico, he was the best view to start lol JK+⚽=🔥💜 He went to Qatar to make the video. When u talked about the diversity of the people behind Jungkook, that's actually how Qatar is, its mostly people from all around the world and only 25% of the population or even 15% is Qatari so this song really represents all the different nationalities that live there and I am one of them which made me love the song even more.

Because of this song and performance Jungkook started getting compared to MJ more! It really got him a lot of recognition and the song itself is doing numbers both on spotify and youtube which is really impressive and hard to achieve without an official solo debut! No matter how famous they get the Bangtan boys are still nervous when they meet people they admire. I love that about them. They've grown into some of the most well-known and respected men in the world and they still have so much respect for other people 💜

He was starstrucked by JK and the whole interview was very wholesome 🥺 He described what I‘ve always liked about Jungkook. I never really knew until I worked with Jungkook like, he changed something in me, as I always thought that big artists like him would ignore people or snub us just because they are really famous. As an asian, this was such a beautiful thing to witness. The live performance where Fahad & JK hug just screams brotherhood across all nations, religions, ethniticies and identities. Reading all the articles circulating in the Korean media rn makes me feel so proud of this sort of global togetherness Dreamers and its performance and message created. JK’s voice and energy is truly so versatile. This song was the perfect fit for an occasion such as the World Cup and he pulled it off real well. With regards to the explanation of the song, the background vocals of “Dreamers” are rooted in the sailing culture of the Persian Gulf, where Qatar is located. Historically, sailors on trading ships each had very specific roles within their crews, such as pearl diving. Seeing as the sailors’ job was extremely wearying, one of these roles belonged to the crew member in charge of raising their spirits. The melody heard in “Dreamers” thus comes from the tunes that were used to cheer up the sailors drawing from the genre of music called “hdadi.”

He had some great comments, experience w/ JK. “"The first time I saw Jungkook, I noticed how tall he is. He's like 6 foot tall. Jungkook's face was like a baby's. I remember his scent was the most memorable scent in my entire life, like, I still remember every time I watch the music video. It’s wild watching both Tae and Jungkookie since I am old enough to be their mom and I have 2 nephews the same as Tae and Jungkookie as well, so watching the boys growing up and achieving their dreams always tugs on my emotions, same for my nephews, they both have jobs in the fields they wanted, which not a lot of people are lucky enough to find jobs they truly love doing.

So you wanted to hear what he overcame to perform that? He only started learning the choreo a few days after he arrived in Qatar, and he didn't learn the chorea to the chorus and do any kind of rehearsal until the day before. Also his in-ears weren't working properly so he couldn't hear himself properly during the live performance. He said he didn't even know how it turned out until he listened to the recording afterwards.

Jungkook didn't break his leg, but for the Live performance his in-ears weren't working as well as at rehearsal (so, basically, he couldn't hear himself). He mentioned that in a W-Live just after the live performance. Of course, he said he wasn't entirely happy with the performance (I think he rarely is....perfectionist), but he said "at least I didn't make any mistakes". He's just so humble. RedOne co-wrote and produced the song, I believe, but yes, Jungkook was involved in writing and also putting his own spin on the choreo, which he had very little time to learn. For the video, he was seen filming in Qatar in September or October, so it really wasn't that long before FIFA either. I'm really looking forward to his solo works, but no clue when that will be coming out.

When u talked about the diversity of the people behind Jungkook, that's actually how Qatar is, its mostly people from all around the world and only 25% of the population or even 15% is Qatari so this song really represents all the different nationalities that live there and I am one of them which made me love the song even more.
So……there are 6 boats in the water, 6 little boys playing soccer at the beach, and 6 whale-sharks flying around. 6 of them representing the BTS members + Jk to equal 7. BTS’s favourite number!

till today I'm still in awe the fact that JK is one the writers of Fifa WC's soundtrack, then performed it in the opening ceremony. Wish him the best for his solo career, I believe he will choose the best one for his next project. He is silent doer, we never really know what he is doing but then BANG.

Because of this song and performance Jungkook started getting compared to MJ more! It really got him a lot of recognition and the song itself is doing numbers both on spotify and youtube which is really impressive and hard to achieve without an official solo debut! Words cannot describe how proud I feel of him, it gets me emotional despite the song being an upbeat and feel-good!
edit: the boys do like football they usually watch all the matches South Korea plays and most of the members posted on instagram and weverse that they were watching the opening and were supporting jk expressing how proud they were.
Fun Fact: JK met the SK players earlier that day and he said he was nervous to meet them! He even got a signed tshirt which he wore at the airport when he went back to SK from Qatar
No matter how famous they get the Bangtan boys are still nervous when they meet people they admire. I love that about them. They've grown into some of the most well-known and respected men in the world and they still have so much respect for other people 💜

It’s a whale shark :) also there’s 6 little boys, 6 boats, 6 ships…. They represent the BTS members not there with him. The whale sharks are for qatar but the whale flying around the buildings also has a reference for BTS and army too that is a very emotional one.

By the way, "Dreamers" has been breaking records since its release too, following his webtoon OST "Stay Alive" and "Left and Right" (collab with Charlie Puth). 2022 has been Jungkook's year and for that, we are getting more excited of his 1st solo album release may be next year. 💜💜💜
