@@R.Akerman-oz1tf ABSOLUTELY!! Especially when Tom stated in the beginning that the berries are in all of their grocery outlets. I am so disappointed that he fell back onto the canned stuff....Those pie filling cans are too filled with sugars and thickening and not enough berries. It would take no trouble to use real blueberries - and for that matter - stabilized (REAL) whipped cream instead of that 'plastic' stuff. I wish Tom wouldn't rely so much on the convenience foods.

    • @kelleydavis100

@@anounimouseso you were expecting him to make homemade pie filling? Then people like me wouldn’t make it because it would take so much longer. Plus, I’m good with the convenience of canned pie filling. Plus, I wonder what would happen if you added blueberries to your pie filling, maybe you’d like it better then? I get what you’re saying though, I’m sure the next videos will include fresh blueberries. ❤

I have lived in Washington state since 1980 . For over 37 years I had four very old blueberries bushes from a farm that had let them go many years.
I dug about a dozen plants out for some other friends and four for myself , they were free for the taking .
We had them another 27 years before we sold that place .
Those four bushes would produce a good five plus gallon of berries each year .
Some of the berries would be the size of my thumbnail , need to say those didn't even make it into the bucket .
I miss them the most of any of all the different fruits and vegetables that we grew and we grew a lot of different produce . There is nothing so rewarding to step outdoors and have three or four different types of produce for the dinner plate .
Or to go outside and get everything that you needed to have seven or eight different produce for a dinner salad.
A flavor of fresh pick salad , picked ,washed , cut , and refrigerated !

The best chefs use their hand in everything! In nutrition school we went on many field trips to kitchens from fast food to five star restaurants and the more expensive the restaurant the more the hands were arranging the food! So, when people harrass you about using your hands, which I believe are perfectly clean, tell them you are just cooking like the best chefs! 😅😅😅
And PLEASE don't stop scrapping out the bowls, etc. TV cooks who don't do that drive me nuts!

So yummy looking. I picked blueberries this morning, so I will find a recipe to make pie filling and use the fresh ones.
I also just watched the 3rd blueberry recipe, and I will probably make that, too. We love blueberries!! Thank you for this week-long series!

Washington State where I live, produces the most blueberries and I believe Maine has the most wild blueberries. I use to pick blueberries at Bond's Blueberry farm in Puyallup many years ago.

This looks great. While I really like blueberries, I'm not the biggest fan of blueberry pie filling, and I don't really know why. I think the mixture of the blueberry pie filling, the cream cheese, the graham cracker crust, and the whipped topping would make for a great combo. Looking forward to the rest of this series. I really enjoy when y'all do things like this. Thank you!

We only got a gallon off our 🫐 blueberry bushes.. the birds 🐦 like them more than us obviously!! We freeze them on cookie sheets then vacuum seal them.. no
    Ice!! Sounds delicious!

That's the best way to freeze them! As you say, no ice this way. But those pesky birds are real competition when it comes time to harvest them! Thanks so much for watching our channel.
