Baldurs Gate 3 Dark Urge play through was a unique experience. I made some rules for myself, 1: no companions at all (sadly locks out some bad choices like killing Aylin), and 2: if I started to feel comfortable or at all attached to the play through, or if I did something good, I had to do something absolutely terrible in return. It is probably the most memorable experience I have ever had in any game ever. It made me realize that there are almost no games with a fleshed out psychopath playstyle option.
Because there are almost no games with as fleshed out collection of choices as Baldur's Gate 3. The developers didn't just make the different options different dialog choices that lead to the same thing, but they fully fleshed out and made their game "intrusive thoughts" proof.

Honorary mention: Graveyard Keeper. Are you going to run an honest business or are you going to dump bodies in the river to save on burial expenses and pollute the drinking supply? And the bodies you don't dump in the river, you chop up and sell to the local tavern as "no questions asked" mystery meat.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the first game where I actually feel guilty being evil... Ever since KOTOR 1, I loved playing the evil route in games. With BG3, characters are too realistic & empathetic... the evil decisions feel like I'm actually a bad person for making them 😅

OK props for including Rimworld, but how could you leave out Eve Online? The game encourages in-game scamming, ponzi schemes, cutthroat corporate espionage. One guy spending a year undercover to get highly ranked in a corporation he wanted to destroy and then succeeding at it. Where you know you'll get ganked if you make the wrong system jump.
I'm surprised Sea of Thieves didn't make this list. I know it's kind of the point of the game, but nothing is worse than being halfway through a mission in your little sloop and getting sunk by a group in a galleon.
And on the other hand Helldivers 2 is built in such way that it brings the best of us, because it's designed around cooperation and helping each other out. PvEs are much less socially offensive than PvP games.
Idk about anyone else but I miss when we had certain games that we could put in and they'd allow us to escape reality, not over think & just mess stuff up. Example: Prototype, infamous, left 4 dead, star wars the force unleashed, quake/unreal tournament, Dantes inferno, max Payne, NFL blitz, NBA street vol. 2, extreme games, Batman, singularity, condemned, Fear, LA Noire, the path of neo, whip lash, boxing/MMA games, 2D, 2.5D fighting games, beat em up, action adventure games. The list goes on

I'd say my darkest experiences in gaming were murderous frenzies. When the enemies get so much on my nerves that I just run amok until everything/anyone moving isn't any more. Only then do I return to my calm and methodical approach. I think I had it in Skyrim for example.
In older Monster Hunter games you could join a hunt, the Monster got buffed since more people, and then leave so someone who was already struggling just got nailed without dinner or anything. Kinda evil but I think they changed it so doesn't happen anymore.

Rimworld is literally a war crime simulator. You can do everything, if you add mods to it. There are mods so evil, in this 2D simple graphics game, that they are not on Workshop. lol

That type os stuff is both good and bad, Paradox games are all like that, base games on discount can be 5 bucks, but you know you missing on 95% of actual content by now, it is really pricy. SIMS 4 is free on STEAM I believe, and I think it will be free forever maybe, butif you want all DLC, its like 400 dollars...
@@TheRealUcanUwill Get just the base Rimworld and learn the game. The DLC are great and I'd never give them back, but the base game is already full of stuff to do. it had years of updates. There are also a lot of "Vanilla Expanded" mods, which add a lot of stuff without needing DLC, for most of them. The game is actually easy to get into, but you learn by failing. However, it's very rewarding and it has a lot of balancing settings, so you can tune it to your liking. If all fails you can use dev mode to cheat or load a save game to undo mistakes. (However I'd advice not to do as it spoils a lot of the fun, I just felt like pointing it out as there's a wide spectrum of difficulty)

@@TheRealUcanUwill it's mostly sandbox, there are multiple endings you can get to, but it takes time and most people rather keep playing. Yes you build a base, so colony sim, but a lot of stuff is happening and you have a lot of elements. Starting from your colonists all with their own likes/dislikes over getting raided and researching technology etc. You can basically not go wrong unless you hate these genre. It has like 98% Steam rating, so most people really like the game.
I used to be a raise hell type in GTA. Now I rarely do it. In other games I hate killing animals (especially dogs). It’s interesting how I’ve changed over 40 years of gaming.
The 2K games are absolutely disgusting the amount of monetizations. Every time I want to play a 2k game, like ACTUALLY play one. I end up going back to like 2k 2010 when the sports games were fun and actually just about sports.
Some of these I haven't played yet but know of most of them. The one I did play last week which made me feel like such an awful person was ManEater. You play as a shark that can just go around and chomp on and eat everything and everyone. From all types of fish and critters to humans. So I'd just go around and eat a bunch of humans and then evolve over time.
League taught me, you dont have to be better than the enemy team you just have to get them to hate eachother. Havent played in many years, but used to main jungle and if you could keep tabs on the enemy jungler and continually punish where they werent you could cause the team to collapse real fast.
I haven't done an evil playthrough of BG3...yet. Part of why I'm saving it for last is because I _know_ companions will leave you if you get too nasty, and the game would really be difficult solo. Oh, you can probably recruit Minthara early on, maybe Shadowheart will stick around...but...unless there are more evil characters to befriend, I'm not sure playing evil will be all that great. Thus...saving it for the end.
