This the most useful video because it actually depicts what most games look like when your up against a competent team as spidey. At least for most other dps, they can get picks and apply pressure from a distance plus the support from the team but spiderman is limited to melee, 250 health, only 5 shots, and is basically on his own. He is useless if the enemy team can focus him for just a second. He can only get any value if the rest of the team is pulling their weight in team fights since he can only get picks by taking advantage of the chaos.
This was a really great video tbh. Alot of the other videos you usually dominate the match, which makes people believe that spiderman is easy. This video actually showed that he is a really high skill cap character. Not one shoting and instead showing how you can still have a big effect on the match.

Tbh necros you don’t need to really explain yourself because Spider-Man is extremely extremely hard to play and tbh how you play spider man that’s not something you see people do. So kudos to you for putting in the insane work on that character you really make that character shine

Agree. So many times you see him land full combos here and the guy leaves full health and he has to reset and wait 10 seconds for cooldowns while his team has to fight 5v6. Im sure if necros just played a better char he would be dominating way harder
I already know there will be a character that freezes all enemies around him/her in place at the press of a button, without aim. Making Spiderman instantly unplayable. It's just the nature of these games to eventually develop too many heroes that counter high skill characters without any skill required

When i first tested him i always found the slingshot stun/go in ability always had like 2/3 sec extra cooldown for no reason. In other games, this is the type of ability you'd get rewarded for landing it by halving the CD or something.

Your Spider-Man seems to be doing just fine damage wise. I think the only thing he's lacking is cooldowns for the web swing. You basically never run out of punches, and the web shots seem fine. Giving him faster cooldowns on the web swinging runs into the issue of him having it too fast and never having to stop. So maybe a rule that he gets it back even faster when he's on the ground, so he does still have to come down, and he can 'reload' his cooldowns faster out of fights. You typically only miss your one shot combos cause you often miss just one web or something. And, I hate to say it, a healer should be able to save someone out of a combo. That's an important and integral part of their class's features. If you can guarantee a dive into the back lines and delete someone with the other healer being able to do nothing about it, that makes their experience way less fun. You even advocated that Punisher shouldn't be able to oneshot delete someone so easily with his shotgun, cause you stated that being deleted instantly wasn't fun. If your combo could guarantee a no-save kill, you just turned SpiderMan into a flying Punisher shotgun.
Not to mention if his own support/team members pop a damage amplifier, he's going to kill them much faster. Which is of course well played by them, but since his combo already hits hard it would have absolutely no counterplay besides switching to a tankier character. (And I don't think switching to another characters should be the "go-to" to survive against specific characters)

i don’t really agree, punisher shotgun is just that, a shotgun, huge pellet spread and a press of a button plus multiple shots. Spider-man’s combo is once again just that, a combo. It’s not easy to pull off especially considering none of his moves stun lock you. You have to be very precise to get that combo off

I think wats been helping me is I webzip towards them with regular swings, uppercut and whoever is closes to me I hit with my traces, after I pull myself towards then and either use my last uppercut to do melee, this has been Insta kills for me and it usually helps me when I flank to get healers, it’s to quick to find out what’s happening and it also disrupts there team comp and push. Spider man is extremely fun to use and I think he’s also easy to get accustomed too, but to get really good at him and play him at a high level consistently is very difficult, even me I switch off him every now and then cause of counterpicks. I don’t think he’s like any character that’s ever been in any kind of game, his movement is almost to op and his potential to one shot each fight is insane. I still haven’t even touched tanked but every time I do play him im always able to get in from behind and stop pushes or help our team push up. Always pick and choose fights as well, 2v1s are very easy just depending on the enemy, people who go invisible avoid 2v1s go after squishy characters you know cant run fast enough.
its also cuz the webs have fall off damage for some weird reason. so if you arent actually like 10 feet away from them the webs dont do their full damage, thus not the full damage combo :( its the most annoying thing about being a spidey main
Necros is being too general here. When Necro's isn't wrecking them it's because he's missing the web shots then doing nothing(doesn't happen often) or he doesn't land his last attack before the uppercut sends them out of range(most of the time this is why they don't die). I rarely see a healer healing themselves as the reason necros misses a kill so in general he's correct but it's not really that big of a factor especially for him. Other healers healing them is a problem but that's how it should be. If I had one tip that might help necros I'd stay don't waste too many web shots flying at full speed double jump when you're ready to shoot to slow your momentum or wait a bit longer till you slow down enough that you're not just spraying and praying as you wiz by. You want a few webs in the chamber to clean up when they fly out of range so yeeting out 2-4 as you speed on by is just denying you a kill later and making you spend more time waiting for webs to recharge. Most reliable time to start shooting IMO is at the peak of the double jump right as you slow your momentum the most.
Hard agree. If a healer can't save someone from a normal combo, why bother playing a healer at all? Necros routinely mops up weak opponents running for health, something a flanker should be great at. He routinely either combo kills or puts a healer on death's door. I think he could do with either a slightly shorter swing cooldown, or some way get it back faster. Cause standing around for cooldowns is kinda lame. Maybe an ability where if Spiderman stands still, he reloads his web shooters and refreshes his cooldowns? So he still has to leave fights, but can re enter fights more often. But yeah, Necros is wrong here. He's routinely combo killing, or missing a single attack. And if one healer saving another healer breaks the combo, that's 1000% fair, cause the alternative is a healer watching their other support die and going "welp, nothing I can do."

One of the things I had considered was giving him a reload mechanic where if he's on the ground, he gets his cooldowns way faster. Maybe a slow rather than a hard stun (gotta keep the CC hell at bay). But there are definitely a bunch of good ways to balance him to make him more consistently strong without giving him too many peaks and creating a monster.
Going through this, i think that healers should be capable of healing each other, it's their purpose, but it should be reduced when healing another support compared to tank or DPS to allow the damage that they mitigate and take to still feel impactful in the long run
I think he should work like psylocke where hitting web clusters reduce your cooldowns a little. His web-clusters are hardly rewarding enough to hit, especially when you're waiting for cooldown,
Ehh, it would be too strong to give limitless auto target damage, and they’d have to make it way less lethal, or else Spider-Man would be impossible to escape from, and after you use all ur mobility, you just die. I think instead giving 2 charges with a short anti-spam cd, and a longer charge cd, like his punch, would be good. It would allow him to use his hook more liberally without worrying that you’ll be useless for 8 seconds if you miss it, kinda like how you can use your punch for mobility without worrying that you’ll be useless without it, because you have another charge.

Truthfully I think spiderman would really benefit from having 1 more attack. Could be an axe kick that sends you down and does slightly more damage than his uppercut, but on a longer cooldown.
I once dove in on an isolated Moon Knight with half health. By the time I finished my combo on him he was at full hp from a healer I couldn't even see.
Spiderman is a difficult character, skill ceiling is really high but it's fun all the same using him. I just hate the occasional messages of "you're bad" when it's just really hard to get something going with him 😭 honestly he needs a slight cooldown fix and just a TINY damage buff and he'd be golden ( to me )
Spiderman just needs ONE BUFF and its too make it so that objects dont block his web ult, its so annoying if they play that gamemode where u deliver the cartrridge and they just camp and run around the cartridge while all of ur shots are hitting them like 4 times atleast
Spider-Man is a high skill, high risk, LOW reward character. What takes him using his entire kit to maybe get a one shot on a squishy character (and i say maybe because if they get even healed slightly, you're not killing them) a hela or winter solider can do in two left clicks to the head with no cool downs.
Doubt they would but what if they changed his team up with venom into giving him more health by turning into his black venom suit, I just think his team up attack is underwhelming
It sucks how easy it is to outheal spidermans damage. then with the super long cooldowns u just have to run away and do nothing for a while , while ur team fights 5v6. Not a great character. He really needs his cooldowns greatly reduced so he can have more consistent impact. Personally i think they should be cut in half and the char prob still wouldnt be stier
Most of the time healers heal faster than your one shot combo can kill unless you do a powerful move when they are low it’s pretty garbage so it’s better to sneak behind get damage in and run and hope the healers are incompetent

Spiderman is a difficult character, skill ceiling is really high but it's fun all the same using him. I just hate the occasional messages of "you're bad" when it's just really hard to get something going with him 😭 honestly he needs a slight cooldown fix and just a TINY damage buff and he'd be golden ( to me )

Spiderman just needs ONE BUFF and its too make it so that objects dont block his web ult, its so annoying if they play that gamemode where u deliver the cartrridge and they just camp and run around the cartridge while all of ur shots are hitting them like 4 times atleast

Spider-Man is a high skill, high risk, LOW reward character. What takes him using his entire kit to maybe get a one shot on a squishy character (and i say maybe because if they get even healed slightly, you're not killing them) a hela or winter solider can do in two left clicks to the head with no cool downs.

Doubt they would but what if they changed his team up with venom into giving him more health by turning into his black venom suit, I just think his team up attack is underwhelming
It sucks how easy it is to outheal spidermans damage. then with the super long cooldowns u just have to run away and do nothing for a while , while ur team fights 5v6. Not a great character. He really needs his cooldowns greatly reduced so he can have more consistent impact. Personally i think they should be cut in half and the char prob still wouldnt be stier

Most of the time healers heal faster than your one shot combo can kill unless you do a powerful move when they are low it’s pretty garbage so it’s better to sneak behind get damage in and run and hope the healers are incompetent
