    As predicted… another episode packed with so many hours of effort.. as soon as I saw those tyres I thought there was a full episode just there …No one knows the pain of removing old tyres until you’ve been there yourself … thumbs up again

    Andrew was right, you have a remarkable insight into how to go about a rebuild such as this. The steps in a sequence that will all come together in the end, underpinned by outstanding skills. This was the last thing Andrew and I talked about so I am looking forward to seeing this project through to the end. Great work!

    Thanks Michael,
    Keep reminding us about the actual hours involved it takes to physically make this project work.
    It would do good to keep a tally of the time you are sweating your butt off and figuring how to get it done between videos. Most of us do not appreciate the difference between the doing and the publishing.
    I cannot say it enough again, thanks for sharing your projects and hobbies.

    Unreal work Mike. You're a great tradesman. Not a single clamp was destroyed in the making of this episode.

    Take your time quality work takes time.
    I know guys here in the states would take a job on like this with nothing less than a huge shop full of tools! 🤭
    Kind of sad my dad had a cold chisel like that, that disappeared. 😒
    Love the outtakes ! 🤣

    love what your doing, but with the chassis did the engineer not specify any reforcing to the welded parts of the chassis like fishplates or boxing it in esc esc, you've probably mentioned it before in another video but i've got a sieve for a brain and if he hasn't brought it up please bring it up with him would hate to see a cool build such as this end up crashing due to this ;).

      Yep. We are running lamination along the length of the chassis. As for the extension, 45 degree angle, and double the width of chassis from a suspension crossmember, and it's all good to go.

    I liked the mapp gas heating the chassis rail before welding pushing your welder to the limit I assume done that myself a few times when I haven’t had a welder with quite enough grunt.
    I’m lucky my shed doesn’t have the same frontage or my mates would call it a Pizza Hut you might have to give it a face lift one day haha

    • @shellberightgarage
      @shellberightgarage  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, the welder was doing it, but kept tripping the fuse. Bit of extra heat to get it started quicker.
