    We have been waiting and now the time has arrived. Can't wait to watch you drive the piss out of it turned. Even if a strut bar doesn't actually do that much,they look good and are extremely affordable. I put one on my Civic just because I wanted to. The Integra would look sick with one.

      Not a problem. You still should go ahead and grab one. Just don’t hit the rev limiter before shifting and you should be solid without a tune. But in reality, you should definitely go ahead and get it tuned soon after.

      When I took it to actual professionals who installed the intake, they said it was because I let it hit the rev limiter. I do the same now and the ecu has adjusted to the additional air and no longer throws a code. Thanks for the very intelligent insight!

    So basically it was an over rev that caused the engine to stress itself. I have a CVT so I imagine it’s less likely an incident like that would happen with my car but as far as the engine lights turning on after you tune it, it sounds like that would most likely happen regardless

    MAF sensor? I’m not familiar with that PRL intake but if it’s a bigger pipe diameter than the stock one, I could see that being an issue

    I'm looking into getting mine tuned and stuff but what worries me is just the inconsistency people have with these motors. Some people blow it up with a simple tune, and some people are running it completely fine bouncing off limiter every day. The clutch too, some people have a clutch that holds 300tq stock while some have slipping issues after only +20 tq so its really a car to car thing with these 1.5t engines. That being said when I get mine tuned I'm going to keep the low end torque down and not run any high boost. I really just want the tune for no rev hang and to disable the 2nd o2 sensor to be honest. I've been driving my Integra really hard ever since I broke it in but I've been stock this whole time.

    • @treyk74
      @treyk74 Год назад

      One thing also though is you never hear from people that have no issues. Just people with issues. So it might not be as bad as I am lead to believe but I'd still be careful.

    I'm having the same codes come up. I've had the prl intake since December & I didn't have any issues until my 2nd dealer oil change, at about 20k miles in August. How did you get the codes reset?

    • @HKN_RealReviews
      @HKN_RealReviews  Год назад +2

      I bought an OBD2 reader and clear it on the off chance it pops up. Since I know what’s causing it and know that it’s not actually being hurt, I reset and keep it moving. Once you get it tuned, that won’t (shouldn’t) happen anymore.

    Does the Hondata flash pro void warranty? was thinking on getting one myself.

    • @HKN_RealReviews
      @HKN_RealReviews  Год назад +1

      So yes and no. Technically any tune should void the factory warranty. But in most cases, unless the tune caused a failure where something broke or needs replacing, you might be fine. Really depends on how strict your dealers service department is. But if your tune makes you blow a head gasket or throw a rod, that would void the warranty. It’s tricky. Just try to develop a relationship with a service tech and have that guy be YOUR guy. That way you both have an understanding and no problems should arise.

    • @treyk74
      @treyk74 Год назад

      I know that with hondata returning to factory tune is a little different then ktuner. Apparently K tuner is a bit better If you want to hide the fact you tuned it from the service rep. The video Ktuner vs. Hondata: Which Tuner Is Right For You? by Lui productions explains it somewhere in there.
